We were very happy with how Mum was welcomed into Hallmark Lakeview. She made rapid recovery from her spell in hospital with the encouragement of the staff and we knew she was in safe hands. Christmas was extra special and it was clear how much effort the staff put in to make the occasions enjoyable.

Mum needs a lot of care and support following a recent stroke. The staff ensure that she receives this, and although it had taken time for her to settle in, she appears quite happy here. The home is bright, clean and welcoming. Mum's physical appearance now is much improved and so different from the
way she looked on discharge from the hospital. My only reservation is about the laundry service - clothes are returned unironed and badly creased, with unidentified marks, and are not stored away properly.

Reception staff are great, always friendly, welcoming and helpful. This in turn leads to a good atmosphere throughout Lakeview. My mother is well cared for and is generally happy and seeming much brighter now.

We are so happy with the wonderful care my grandma received since coming to Lakeview. The staff are so kind and have always strived to help Grandma as much a they can. For me the staff from reception, entertainment team, carers, senior carers and catering team are exceptional and make this as much as
a home as possible. The home is beautifully clean and a lot of effort clearly give into making the home inviting for residents and their families. Thank you so much for everything you do!

My grandmother moved to Lakeview two months ago due to her previous home closing. She is visually impaired and was very anxious about having to settle in somewhere else.
All the team have been so welcoming, patient and kind with her and the family. They have gone to great lengths to find out about
her past and present interests, enabling her to keep to her routine and provide a stimulating and rewarding environment.
Lakeview seems a very happy home for all the residents that I have met over the weeks, I really can't fault it!

My mother is very content at Lakeview, she feels safe and secure and enjoys the environment of the home and all the friendly staff. She enjoys participating in a range of activities, particularly exercise classes and quizzes. She is very well cared for. Obviously, all this comes at a price but we still
feel it is very good value for money and for the knowledge that she is being well looked after.

My dad had a very bad experience in a previous care home so we were very worried about how he would settle into a new home. Once we had viewed Lakeview and spoken with the dementia care manager, we felt reassured that my dad's individual needs would be met.
Since he moved in, Dad has settled in so
well which is such a relief to our whole family. The care team go out of their way to treat Dad as an individual and get to know him well and his needs.

I have nothing but praise for Lakeview care home. Everything about the home has been skillfully planned and carefully thought out. Example: Every floor on each level has a different colour scheme so residents do not get confused and know when they have arrived back on their floor. The atmosphere is
always cheerful with smiling/caring staff on hand. The residents have a variety of entertainers visiting which is always well received. Pets are also welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a care home and have done so on many occasions.

We were seeking respite care following mums release from the hospital after a tough two weeks. From the first contact with LakeView, the team swung into immediate action to facilitate the right timescale. It was a stressful period with much uncertainty, however, we were able to rely totally on your
staff. Once in situ, we were able to relax and let them take over mum's rehabilitation. Nothing was too much trouble we visited most days and were treated as part of the Lakeview family. The activities were superb and the individual care made integration easy. The home was just that - a home! The entire team are a credit to your organisation - thank you all.

Mum came in for respite care after a difficult hospital stay. She came there for four weeks but stayed for eight weeks. The care and kindness she and our family have been met with are second to none. Mum is so well now both mentally and physically. Good food, good care and friendly kind staff everywhere
means she is looking great. I would recommend Lakeview to anyone.

Very happy with Lakeview Care Home. It is a very friendly atmosphere throughout and is run very professionally. The staff are always happy to help. Lovely rooms and gardens and a wide variety of activities to suit everyone. Glad we chose this home for my father.

Care homes generally get a bad press. When my mother needed care I was fortunate enough to find Lakeview. My mother spent eight months there before she passed away. It is a stunning example of what is possible. Immaculately clean, well-maintained, managed with care and professionalism. Attractive rooms,
high-quality food, activities to suit everyone. The staff are universally excellent, caring, efficient, friendly and kind. All is done to the highest standard. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Our mother moved into Lakeview in January this year. She has Alzheimer’s disease and was very resistant to the idea of such a move. She has been welcomed with open arms and has settled quickly. The staff are extremely good-natured and have been professional, reassuring, thoughtful and empathetic at
all times. We have witnessed her having a good giggle with them on a number of occasions! Her room is spacious and comfortable; she is surrounded by familiar objects from her own home and family photographs. She enjoys mealtimes and has commented frequently on the excellent food. She has had her hair and nails done several times already! The café on the ground floor provides a perfect environment for visits. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team!

All those I met who were looking after Mum did with kindness and care. Mum enjoyed their company, particularly their capacity for having a bit of fun.
In Mum's last few weeks, they all went over and above to ensure that she was comfortable and loved.

At a difficult time, we could not have made a better choice of home. Staff genuinely care and take time to get to know you and have been very supportive. It is a lovely, clean, bright home, and always has a nice feel about it. The choice of food is excellent. Management always available to speak with
you about any concerns. There is a definite open-door policy, which is so reassuring. Highly recommended.

I joined Lakeview in January 2022 and have worked in adult health and social care for 14 years. I started my career as a carer and progressed to the role of Deputy Manager and this included mentoring team members and becoming a trainer.


As a Deputy Manager, I enjoy interacting with the residents as well as their family and friends and getting to know them all individually. I strongly believe in understanding the needs of each resident understanding resident to ensure we are offering relationship-centred care.
