Our mother moved into Lakeview in January this year. She has Alzheimer’s disease and was very resistant to the idea of such a move. She has been welcomed with open arms and has settled quickly. The staff are extremely good-natured and have been professional, reassuring, thoughtful and empathetic at
all times. We have witnessed her having a good giggle with them on a number of occasions! Her room is spacious and comfortable; she is surrounded by familiar objects from her own home and family photographs. She enjoys mealtimes and has commented frequently on the excellent food. She has had her hair and nails done several times already! The café on the ground floor provides a perfect environment for visits. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team!

All those I met who were looking after Mum did with kindness and care. Mum enjoyed their company, particularly their capacity for having a bit of fun.
In Mum's last few weeks, they all went over and above to ensure that she was comfortable and loved.

At a difficult time, we could not have made a better choice of home. Staff genuinely care and take time to get to know you and have been very supportive. Having visited quite a few care homes in the area, I was certain that Lakeview was the most suitable for my mother, but I was still nervous about how well she would settle in, having been a very independent and active person before her dementia. However, my family and I were delighted with the loving
care all the staff immediately showed her and to our great relief she quickly accepted Lakeview as her new home. It is a much better environment for her mental and physical health than being at home with a single carer; there is always company and she has made friends with many of the other residents. There are daily activities to keep her engaged and stimulated and the care exhibited by every member of staff is heartwarming. It truly is a calling for these clearly carefully selected team members, never merely a job. I am always totally confident that my mother is being looked after with the greatest care and that is peace of mind beyond measure. Thank you Lakeview!

My mother has been at Lakeview Care Home for over six years. It has been a home from home for her where every resident is treated as part of the family. Each individual is valued and cared for and my mother has thrived in this nurturing environment. Despite being in a wheelchair with dementia, her needs
were very well looked after. The care provided was exceptional even down to a carer applying makeup which my mother enjoyed (even at 95). Activities through the years have been fun and varied. My mother particularly enjoyed the garden facilities and the ballroom dancing. I have no hesitation in recommending Lakeview Care Home. The management team is professional and the manager is very experienced and consistently steady. It is a testament to the manager’s leadership skills that they coped and even thrived during the extreme challenges the pandemic caused.
Unfortunately, my mother had to leave Lakeview recently, a sad day indeed, as she now needs a nursing home.

I feel my dad is happy and very settled here. It's been a tough 18 months but his care has remained at a very high standard. The staff really care for the residents and know them well. I can't imagine him being anywhere else and I feel very reassured by the staff at all times.

In the time that my mum was at Lakeview, we were constantly satisfied with all aspects of her care both physically and mentally. The staff were very attentive to both Mum and us, her family. Mum ended her days at Lakeview surrounded by kind and compassionate people both in the care team and the management.

We have recently moved my mother from another care home and have been so impressed by the manager, staff and welcome she has had. I am so glad that Mum has been at Lakeview during the COVID period. The staff have been very kind, even arranging in-room one-to-one activities and reading to Mum when she was poorly. I don't think she could have been better looked after anywhere.

Lakeview is a wonderful home with very caring staff. You feel part of a family. My mother is very well looked after in a stimulating environment with lots of varied activities.

In my day-to-day role, I oversee the smooth running of the home, ensuring we provide safe, person-centred care while supporting my team to grow in confidence and pride. The most rewarding part of my role is seeing residents happy, comfortable, and thriving, and knowing that their families feel reassured and supported.
