Charters Court Care Home, ideally situated in the luxurious Charters Retirement Village, in East Grinstead, West Sussex, delivers residential, nursing and residential dementia care.

My mum couldn't wait to move in! The staff were all lovely and looked after her so well. As a family, we knew that she was safe and was lovingly cared for.

My mother has late onset dementia. She has lived in the care home for two years now. She has received loving care since the day she arrived. She feels safe which is a great help for me and my family.
Mum now needs help with eating and this is done with care, calmly and with patience.
All the staff
are very friendly from the receptionists to the nurses.
My father was also very pleased to see how settled mum is and he often commented about the exceptional care mum received. My father lived nearby and visited mum every day until he died earlier this year.
When visiting, I am always made to feel welcome and I do appreciate my cup of tea.

My father in law had the best care and attention that I could have wished for during the 16 months that he resided on Willow Suite.
Every single member of the staff were wonderful and really cared about him and his well-being.
I seriously can't thank them all enough or praise them more for their
genuine concern and desire for his best interest. Your patience and care was so much appreciated.

Charters Court has so many qualities that other care homes lack. Management runs a solid team of staff which makes the home run efficiently. Staff take into account the residents needs and do their best to make them feel cared for and at home. The reception staff are always smiling, very friendly and
approachable.
The food is first class, running a 3 course menu plus the staff adapt to the residents needs where necessary. The rooms and communal areas are spotless and bright with great furnishings. Such a pleasant environment.
There are daily activities for residents to attend or even take the mini bus into town.
I can't fault Charters in any way and would highly recommend this care home.

Charters Court has a wonderful homely feel. The staff are kind and caring and very knowledgeable. They always keep me informed of any changes. There is a huge range of fun activities constantly taking place and the food is home-cooked and always delicious. The admin and reception team are helpful and

My grandad is very happy at Charters Court. The staff are kind and caring and he has a great room. He loves the food especially the fish and chips on Friday! I feel welcome when I visit him and the staff always include me in the conversation.

My mother has been through 3 months of hospital wards and now she is happy and well in Charters Court. She has been extremely well looked after by all the staff.
My mother is much healthier now and is coming to terms with the fact of living in a care home. Charters Court is a lovely place and the staff
are caring and very good at their job. They are all very nice people. My mother could not be in a better place

My Mother suffers from dementia and has been in the home for 2 years. The staff is extremely kind and caring to my Mother. We visit her every day and are always made very welcome. We've been given good advice for caring for her. We are grateful for the help they gave us in arranging liquid food supplements
and liquid medicine rather than pills she had difficulty with. There is an excellent and imaginative well-being team and the carers engage with and lift the spirits of residents above and beyond their routine caring. The management is also very responsive in listening to residents and relatives at regular meetings fixing and improving things.

The staff at Charters Court took care of our mother (aged 97) for 7 weeks, from early February to the end of March when she passed away.
My sister and I found that everyone from the receptionist on our first visit to view the home, to the suite manager and team who did the day-to-day care were excellent:
calm, reassuring, sensitive, friendly but professional. Even the 'backstage' team (admin, maintenance, cleaning, kitchen etc) were lovely whenever we met them.
We felt 100% confident that the staff were experienced, courteous and above all caring in their dealings with our mother in her failing last few weeks. And they were very welcoming and accommodating to us and others who visited. And very supportive and sympathetic to us all (including 2 brothers on video call from the US and Canada) as we spent much of the last 24 hours with Mum.
Many, many thanks to everyone at Charters Court!

I have felt at home from the moment I came to Charter Court. The staff are kind and attentive and my room is clean and homely. There is always something going on that I can join in with if I want to and the food is delicious.

The Staff and management are very supportive and caring to ensure that the needs of both our Mother and stepfather are met. They have on several occasions gone out of their way to meet individual requests made by my Mum. Although my stepfather and Mother do not participate in many of the social activities
- there is a wide range of choices and activities available. When visiting, the home has a “friendly family feel to it “.

This is the most wonderful place.
Every area is so lovely to sit and just read or chat with friends or family.
I always feel so welcome. I can spend time looking at all the beautiful furniture and decorations.

In the six years she was a resident, I had no occasion where I had to query or question the quality of care given to my wife. As a Manager, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Julie closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what her favourite about being a Home Manager, Julie remarked:


"My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is Knowing my residents are safe, cared for and supported by my staff team. That the home is respected and somewhere people want to come and live.”


Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending quality time with her family.
