Charters Court Care Home, ideally situated in the luxurious Charters Retirement Village, in East Grinstead, West Sussex, delivers residential, nursing and residential dementia care.

Set in a welcoming environment, residents at Charters Court benefit from a number of spaces to relax, socialise and dine, as well as engage in the varied activities programme which includes everything from exercise classes to baking and gardening.

The staff go over and above what's expected, only last week they helped to organise a party for my husband's 90th birthday and supplied a wonderful home made cake. Myself and my family are so grateful for everyone's help and kindness.

Wonderful, kind and friendly care home. Dad has been here for three years now and the care he receives is extremely good. All the staff at this care home are amazing! As a family, we are very happy that his needs are met and he is comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommend.

Really nice atmosphere. The nurses and receptionist are extremely welcoming. It's clean and has good room sizes. The carers are alert and take very good care of the residents. I'd certainly give it a five-star rating!

I came to Charters Court from hospital and I feel so safe. My room has it's own bathroom and looks over the garden. The staff take such good care of me. I am so lucky to be here.

Although my mother-in-law has only been here for a week and a half, we've found this place to be amazing from the friendly and accommodating staff to the size of the rooms and the amenities, everything is top-notch. Mum-in-law settled in right away and despite her dementia says she likes it here. That's

Since the refurbishment last year, Charters Court is like a five star hotel. The rooms are clean and the management and staff are fantastic. My brother is well cared for at all times.

I would like to express my gratitude for all the efforts of the staff at Charters Court. When my father was first admitted, he was very upset and in a very unkempt condition, and after a few weeks, there has been a huge improvement in his appearance and demeanour. I feel completely reassured that he

A decision had to be made about my Mother-in-law as she was failing with her live-in carers and had plenty of living still to do. I called Charters Court Care Home and after one home visit, she was safely installed in The Aspen Suite one week later. It's been two years now and my Mother-in-law is calm,
happy, smiling and clearly extremely well looked after. She enjoys the quizzes, singing, flower arranging and all the other daily activities. The staff in Aspen are superb and I cannot praise them highly enough for the way they have turned my Mother-in-law's life around.

It was a difficult decision to move my mother from her house and place her into care but we went to Charters Court Care Home and everything moved very quickly and smoothly. We are now coming up to two years and my mother is looking very well and seems very happy in herself. I am so grateful to the staff

Mum was very anxious when she first arrived in 2022. She was made so welcome - everwhere was peaceful and calm and beautifully clean. Her room was very homely and had her own bathroom/shower and toilet just as Mum wanted so it met her needs immediately. The floor manager/team leader in Willow was amazing,
her kind, gentle, profession demeanour shos through and this reflected in her staff. My worries over Mum's care soon disappeared as I know that any changes or incidents concerning Mum will be dealt with immediately and I will be informed. Well done.

We were incredibly lucky and blessed to be able to place my lovely mum with the care she received at Charters Court Care Home. She was treated with respect, kindness and dignity. Since moving to Charters Court Care Home, my health has improved along with my happiness. The staff are very gentle and patient and are always smiling. My room is bright and looks over the garden. I have my own belongings which makes it really homely. I have made many new friends and we enjoy taking
part in the activities together. The kitchen always looks after my dietary needs and food allergies perfectly.

“Kind care is always Listening to the residents and their families and learning what is important to them.”


As a Manager, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Julie closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what her favourite about being a Home Manager, Julie remarked:


"My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is Knowing my residents are safe, cared for and supported by my staff team. That the home is respected and somewhere people want to come and live.”


Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending quality time with her family.
