It's a beautiful building inside, very safe for residents. Good almost too good and plentiful.

Smaller portions and more known meals I feel would encourage eating. A gap between food on plates so they can be seen individually. Activities don't always happen - outside musicians are excellent. Staff are friendly and kind. Not always in the room.

When it was first suggested that I came to this care home, it was for a 2/3 week trial. It became apparent that I would not be fit to live alone so it was arranged that I should move here. I have been quite ill twice here, the nursing and car I received was excellent.

We have my wife's mother and aunt as residents of Charters Court (Maple). Over the last 16 months have found the level of care, compassion and security provided very reassuring and have complete confidence that they are safe and happy at all times.

Everyone I have dealt with at Charters, whether nurses, carers, activity leaders or admin/managerial, has been professional, supportive and caring, and has consistently gone the extra distance to be helpful to our family. My parents moved into the home over two years ago and have been safe and happy, benefiting from high levels of care and enjoying the various activities provided. Both had different needs, one requiring nursing care and the other having dementia, and Charters was one of the few homes that could accommodate their needs. The bedrooms and lounges are spacious and well appointed, and the catering is of the highest standard. Both parents have spent time in hospital and the staff have helped with appointments and recuperation. My mother died recently and the levels of care extended to her in her last days and the support we have received since then have been excellent. My father has built up a good rapport with the staff and other residents and continues to thrive.

We stumbled across this home in the middle of what was an extremely distressing time for us as a family. We arrived at 5.30pm to look around, thinking that it would be a flying visit. Wrong! The manager took the time to listen to us and find out about mum before showing us around. When walking around every member of the staff stopped and spoke to us and smiled. The decision was made and mum moved in a week later. She has gone from strength to strength. She’s made friends, is eating and drinking so much better. She loves the activities and all of the staff. We, as a family will be forever grateful to Charter’s Court.
Note to the owners - look after that manager and the team as they are truly amazing people.

THANK YOU!

The care home provided expert care and help following my early discharge from hospital. I have a relapsing disease which requires dietary and medication support that only specialists which you have at Charters Court can provide.

The home is kept beautifully clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It was a thoroughly nice experience after hospitalisation. I hope they will let me stay again if my condition deteriorates.
