Cedrus House makes residents as well as relatives so welcome. It has a relaxing atmosphere which my mother with dementia really appreciates. All staff are friendly and warm, with a professional approach. Always helpful and have got to know my mother and what she enjoys in life. Activities are fun and special celebrations like Mother's Day are celebrated in the wonderfully decorated cafe and food displays/menu are fab!
Thank you so much for your lovely review Lorraine, we are so pleased you have found our staff friendly and warm. Mum has settled so well into life at Cedrus House and her love of music and dancing brings a smile to all our faces.
Clean - comfortable - really nice staff. Good food. Good room accommodation - very impressed.
Thank you so much for your 5* review David, it is much appreciated.
My aunt has been at Cedrus House for 2 years. She is very happy and feels safe and cared for. The whole experience of leaving her home was made easier by the staff at Cedrus House. She enjoys the activities and has made many new friends. The family inclusive events are very enjoyable. Overall, a fabulous care home!
Thank you so much for your kind words Wendy, it is our pleasure to care for your Aunt, we are so pleased she feels happy and safe with us.
I have to really give the biggest shout out to the carers and nurses. I honesty felt that mum wouldn't be cared for like we would want her to be. Mainly to be loved. But, honestly, I couldn't have been more wrong. All the carers really loved and cared for my mum like their own family and this gave us soooo much comfort when we couldn't go every single day. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Her care was truly wonderful. We were welcomed to Cedrus House at any time day or night. They would cook a meal for us if we stayed. This care home should have an OUTSTANDING certificate, because that's exactly what mum had. We cannot thank you enough.
Thank you so much for your amazing comments and feedback Lisa, we really do appreciate you taking the time to complete the review. It was our pleasure to care for Mum during her final months and we are so pleased you found the our care wonderful.
Excellent in all departments. All staff are excellent in all respects.
Thank you for your comments Vincent, we very much appreciate your 5* review
Father in law originally came for respite care, he was very apprehensive at coming into a care facility but this was soon dispelled after given a lovely welcome from the staff from the viewing to moving in day! Staff have been very friendly and respectful, the rooms are very clean and environment safe, so much so he wants to stay! Cannot find any faults and any concerns/questions are dealt with quickly! Thank you Cedrus House team.
Thank you so much for your lovely review S.J, it really is appreciated. Its been lovely having your father in law with us and we are so pleased he has settled in so well.
My father-in-law stayed here for a few weeks and during his stay, the care he received was exceptional. All his jeeds were met both physically and emotionally. All staff were friendly, approachable and helpful to our needs as a family. The care home truly went above and beyond to help us, during what had been a difficult time. My father-in-law would not hesitate to return in the future.
Thank you so much for you kind words. It was our pleasure to look after your father in law during his respite stay and we are thrilled he has come back to live permanently with us.
My Mum moved into Cedrus in July 2025. We have found Cedrus to be a homely and friendly place. The staff are all very nice and nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities for Mum to take part in if she wishes or she has a lovely spacious en suite room with everything she needs.
My dad has been a resident at this nursing home for nearly two years now, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care he receives. The entire staff - from the nurses to the kitchen and housekeeping teams - treat him with genuine kindness and respect. They take the time to get to know him personally, which makes such a difference.
The home is always clean, welcoming, and well organised. The nurses are attentive and communicate regularly with our family about any changes or updates in his care. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he's in good hands.
Thank you to everyone at Cedrus House!
Mum seems happy & well looked after. The staff are friendly & I get contacted if there are any issues with Mum ie sores/illness. It's nice to have the cafe as I will go and have a drink if staff are seeing to mum. The activities & trips are good as helps to stimulate the mind and also the food looks really good. Overall a nice care home.
Mum had a lovely experience she was well cared for and had lovely carers. Could not ask for more. She wasn't there long only 3 months but she settled in well and the food was good. If we asked if they could wash her hair next day it was done
I went as a volunteer helper on the Felixstowe day out. The residents were all ready 9.30am & had breakfast - an amazing start by the staff. Patience needed to get 20 residents on the wheelchair lift to get in the coach. Noting was too much trouble for the staff, took their time, chatted & smiled with residents. Fish & chips, ice cream, cups of tea and then a singer to round up the day at the sea. Perfect weather for a wonderful day. Thank you.
It was also fantastic to see three centenarians in the same room sitting next to each other - a moment to treasure.
Please send our family's special thanks to the catering team who made a such a splendid birthday cake for Mum.
The family all said how lovely it was that so many people were engaged in the celebrations making it truly a day to remember.
Thank you all once again for the celebrations and also for keeping my vulnerable Mum safe, happy and content
Overall, her quality of life has improved so much since moving in. She's more connected & content than she has been in years. We feel really lucky to have found such a warm, compassionate place for her to call home. Thank you!
Nice clean care home. Excellent staff very helpful and take very good care of my wife who is bed bound with parkinsons.
The care is superb. The staff are all wonderful. I really love the food and it is good to have pills sorted taking away the worry of remembering. Activities are good and varied.

What a really lovely home. Mum is thrilled to be at Cedrus House - she calls it her 5 star hotel. She is eating very well from an inspiring menu. She is encouraged to remain fit by engaging in gentle exercise and crafts. The personal care is respectful and completed with dignity. The cleanliness is faultless.

Mum moved into Cedrus House when it became too difficult to look after her at home because of the progression of her dementia - she lived there for the last two and a half years of her life. Caring for someone with dementia is challenging but I always felt the Cedrus team handled these challenges with sensitivity, respect and professionalism making a difficult situation as good as it could be - as such we never had doubts that Cedrus was the best place for Mum. So many thanks to all the team there.
I visit Cedrus House regularly (usually twice a week). All the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful - I am always made to feel welcome and part of the Cedrus family. Two staff members in particular on reception are welcoming and always have time for a chat. Another staff member is one of the most enthusiastic and engaging people I have ever met, speaking to new and potential residents and their families in a professional yet friendly manner. Another staff member always makes me laugh, nothing is ever too much trouble. Two staff members in particular run an amazing events programme and their enthusiasm is infectious. Chef and the catering team keep the residents well fed and the cakes in the coffee shop are legendary. And the place is always very clean and tidy. I love my visits and I am so pleased that the resident I visit is so happy and contented at Cedrus.
My mum was so content at Cedrus House. Staff were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I couldn't have asked for anywhere better.

Meet the Team (1)

I’ve worked for Care UK for nearly a decade now. Before joining the organisation, I was a laboratory technician and a registered childminder. When I was looking for a new challenge, I heard great things about Care UK and how its people were supported to develop. That’s certainly been my experience. I started as a carer and have worked my way up.
I previously worked as Home Manager at Hartismere Place, where I saw the home grow and flourish. I’m now excited to have joined Cedrus and to bring that experience with me, building on strong foundations and continuing to enhance what we do and what we offer to residents.
I love walking around the home and having lovely interactions with the residents. They make my day, as do the great colleagues I work alongside. There’s always a lot of laughter at Cedrus House, which creates a great atmosphere.
Outside of work, I’m a keen biker; my husband and I ride all over East Anglia. I also enjoy gardening, spending time with my family, and socialising with friends.
