My husband, with dementia, and I following a lung operation, have just spent a month at Chamberlain Court in Tunbridge Wells. The care we received was excellent in every way and we were made to feel so welcome at all times. I was able to recover knowing my husband was being expertly cared for on their designated Floor 2.

Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you both for a short-term stay with us and we were so delighted that you made a great recovery.

My mother lived on her own aged 95, but losing her short term memory so reluctantly considered a care home. On seeing Chamberlain Court amongst 4 others, I was very pleasantly surprised. The smell of urine didn't greet you upon entering, the residents weren't sitting around on plastic-covered chairs, bored, but in the cafe chatting to one another tea/coffee and cakes listening to the pianist playing popular tunes of their day. Otherwise, they were participating in activities, hair done or a manicure or watching a film in the cinema. We realised how important like-minded residents are with similar life experiences and a reason to rise each day. Chamberlain Court has totally lived up to our expectations and my mother has blossomed. It's a pleasure to visit this happy talkative mother who is filling her day with pleasure and friendships. The staff are magnificent from top to bottom. Each smile greets you when passing, is totally attentive and seems to care hugely about their residents treating them with the utmost respect in their home from home. So glad to have found Chamberlain Court and know my mother is safe, happy and well looked after.

Staff are kind, obviously caring and patient. Working with dementia patients requires all above and more and they deliver this.
Care home is always clean and residents are also kept clean and tidy with extra additions like hair and nails attended to. Giving residents dignity.

A degree of consistency in staff is also important, Chamberlain Court seems to have a relatively small turnover - important.

The service provided is good and the staff are all helpful, caring and professional. But there aren't always enough of them, particularly at weekends and staff turnover has also been high in the last 12 months.
Facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained.

A good range of activities is provided.

My husband has Lew Body Dementia. He lost the use of his legs and was hospitalised for 5 days.
He went to Chamberlain Court for 3 weeks of respite care. They turned him around and he is now home. I found the home and staff excellent for this situation. The staff seem to have endless patience.

Just two downsides, a very vocal resident, who did disturb my husband through the night. Bell took a long time to be answered on two occasions. Otherwise, a good experience and if need be will use the home again.

It is both a relief and a pleasure to know that our mother is being well cared for by lovely people in this beautiful care home. My mother has dementia, and as a member of staff put it: "she needs more help than she is willing to accept". She has had multiple falls and was no longer safe to be at home, but initially resisted the idea of an 'old people's home'. However, over the past six months she has settled in really well and even admits to having "a lot of fun". As the staff have got to know her they have discovered which activities she most enjoys and seek her out to make sure she attends them.

Visiting my mother is a pleasure as the staff never make one feel a nuisance or in the way, and as well as her room there are several places to go for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee. The bright modern interior always appears clean thanks to the domestic staff. I cannot praise the attitude of the staff highly enough.

Both my parents have been diagnosed with dementia which has deteriorated over the last 18 months. Both their needs are different as their types of dementia differs and slowly we and they realised that they were no longer able to cope at home. Their 1st stay was for short respite stay but in the last two months, they moved in on a permanent basis. Myself and my sisters were initially worried how they would feel leaving the family home but they have both settled in really well and feel much better in themselves now they know they are cared for and that they don't have to worry. They have both said they wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

The facilities at Chamberlain Court are exceptional and the staff really are second to none. I can honestly say it is like being part of a big family; everyone is so friendly, incredibly kind and very importantly, extremely jolly. It is a joy to visit my parents and as a family member you are made to feel like one of the big family too.

An excellent facility with a genuine feeling of care and warmth throughout. I am genuinely impressed with everything I have seen and would certainly choose to live here myself one day should I need to be cared for. The whole team are friendly and helpful and I have witnessed a very high standard of interaction and engagement between the staff and the residents. Highly recommended.
