My stay at Derby Heights Care Home has been very comfortable and all the staff have been pleasant and helpful. One little suggestion I would make is that supper should be one hour later. Having had a very nice lunch at 1 pm, I wasn't ready for supper at 5 pm.

Mum has been living at Derby Heights for over a year now and is very settled. Family visit regularly and we are always welcomed and know that Mum is well cared for. On a recent visit, it was so lovely to see a few nursery children visiting and completing puzzles with the residents' help. The atmosphere is always calm and friendly, it is immaculately kept and all Mum's laundry is beautifully looked after. The meals are excellent and the activities staff are amazing considering how many residents need entertaining. We are so pleased we chose Derby Heights and cannot praise all the team enough for their dedication and care. It felt like such a happy place last week, and back to normal after covid, thankyou.

All staff are so friendly, rooms are very clean and nothing is too much trouble. Dad was in for rehab care and due to Covid regulations had to isolate for two weeks but as soon as he could move around he made friends and enjoyed the facilities and garden.

We have been extremely pleased with the care given to our dear dad since mum passed away. Although the pandemic has restricted visits to see dad the staff have worked hard to enable us to have contact with dad via Skype, phone and a special visiting area in the home. They have had good communication with us regarding dad's health and needs. Extremely grateful for the excellent care given mum and dad.

Derby Heights Care Home and the whole team have changed my mum's standard of life in the most remarkable manner. She has late-stage Alzheimer's and as such has been depressed, isolated and withdrawn for many years, thanks to Derby Heights and the team she is like a new person, happy, content and with a new purpose in life. An amazing turnaround for which we are truly thankful.

Mum moved into Derby Heights in the summer of 2020. It was her own decision. She settled in quickly and was made to feel welcome by both staff and fellow residents. I cannot rate the home highly enough. In all aspects, it provides an excellent service. Mum, who lived alone for many years, now has daily contact with other people and she has been encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities. However, she can still enjoy her own company in the comfort of her own room and she can still have her occasional glass of sherry! The care staff are very attentive and keep the family regularly informed of her welfare. The reception staff and the administration team are great and are always very friendly and helpful either on the phone or when visiting. They have all been superb during the current difficult times. The most important thing is that my mother is safe and happy in her new home and she knows that she herself made the right decision.

Could not be happier. Mum is so well looked after in every respect. I have complete peace of mind both in regards to her physical and mental wellbeing. Nothing is too much trouble, and most importantly, the staff are genuine in their care, concerns and efforts to keep residents happy and comfortable. Mum is most definitely happier since she has been here and her mental health much improved. Thank you!

On entry to the home, one is always greeted warmly by the reception. The area is always kept clean and tidy, coffee, tea and cakes are always available. Arriving on the suite (Sudbury), the staff are always polite and if there is anything to tell you they will call you over. The hostesses and kitchen staff along with care staff are very helpful at mealtimes as Mum is registered blind and needs assistance. Overall staff training is excellent and meets the necessary requirements of my mum and the other residents. Mum enjoys a laugh and joke with the staff. The attitude of the staff makes me content because Mum is happy there and it gives me peace of mind knowing all is well. An important thing is the office door to the manager is always open which enables one to discuss anything.
