I came here feeling broken (spinal fractures) but felt safe from the moment I arrived. Have received the best possible care anyone could have. Everyone very kind, caring and eager to please. The Clinical Manager understands exactly what is required and has extraordinary empathy with everyone. I am very satisfied and happy here. I have not met with any unpleasantness or impatience.

A lovely experience visiting somebody in this beautiful care home that feels very much like a top hotel.
Always very welcoming and well looked after with drinks, food if wanted.
Also great welcoming entertainment night.

My Aunt was recently 90 and nothing was too much trouble for the manager and her team, very welcoming to all that visited and they put on a fabulous spread for all, thank you so much. The staff are great.

Walking into Cumnor Hill House, the feeling was calm, friendly, understanding and warm. Our family can't thank the staff enough for their sympathetic and efficient work prior to our mother moving into this wonderful place. I walked into our first meeting expecting to and looking to find fault, but I still can't. The staff are exceptional. The facilities are exceptional. We've experienced such professionalism, understanding and genuine kindness from the moment we set foot in the house.

Huge thanks to an excellent team of people led by an exceptional manager.

My father spent his last four months at Cumnor Hill House. He was very, very happy there. A purpose built, modern, elegant building in beautiful grounds. Everyone that visited him was immediately impressed by their reception, all the qualities of a top rate hotel. However, most importantly all left with a lasting memory of the friendly, good-natured and very professional staff. When visiting we enjoyed dining with him, especially in the bar/bistro. We had hoped to see rugby in the cinema with him and spend Christmas with him, sadly not to be. However, we have fond memories of all the regular entertainments on Thursdays and much more besides. The highlight of his stay was the 40's garden party where everyone (staff and residents alike) dressed in period costume, Winston Churchill spoke and introduced the Andrews sisters! Fun was had by all! All in all what a marvellous home it was for him.

At the start of 2017, it was decided that my Nan had to move into a care home so that she could have 24/7 care. It was a really tough decision for a family to make. However, in finding Cumnor Hill House the process was made a lot smoother for everyone involved but most importantly my nan. Since then my nan has made friends and gets to share all her memories with not just the other residents but also it’s staff. They offer a 5-star service from food to entertainment. The residents are kept active through events throughout the week and even have some day trips. The manager and her team really go out their way to make your loved ones loved. If anybody is looking at care homes for their loved ones, you need to think twice before looking elsewhere.

Cumnor Hill House is an amazing care home. My Nan is looked after by a fantastic team that go out of their way to make her and all the residents to feel comfortable, cared for and happy.
The home is modern and has been built to a very high standard with an extremely comfortable feel and gorgeous decoration - just like a five-star hotel, with beautiful grounds around it. Always spotlessly clean.
On a Thursday evening, they have entertainment which was for everybody to attend. They do a superb job arranging all the great entertainment, which is enjoyed greatly by all.

All the staff are amazingly kind and helpful. They always make myself, my husband, our children and the whole family extremely welcome- nothing seems too much trouble. They give all care with such compassion. I am very thankful my Nan is surrounded by such wonderful people. The manager and her team do an amazing job and I’m very grateful to them all for taking such great care of my Nan.

We have visited our friends many times. The greeting by the staff on the desk is very good. All the staff seem very willing to help and offer us refreshments if we wish.

Our friends seem settled and if one can no longer manage at home this is the next best thing. The rooms are bright and the furniture is good. There is a very nice room called 'fine dining" where they can invite friends to meals.

I have no comparison to go by as this was my first experience in a care home.

All I can say is that I have never been surrounded by so much kindness or concern for my well-being. It never wavered and I felt that every one of the staff really cared on an everyday basis.

There were some very sick people on the floor above and I could see they were looked after with the same care and attention.

Just been to 1940's party despite the rain it was a most wonderful time, a fake Winston Churchill three brilliant girl singers and tap dancers, delicious food and lots of entertainment etc. Thursday evenings are always good the residents enjoy them and like to see and friends and family too. The carers are all doing a brilliant job and everyone seems happy. This is a beautiful new care home caring for people who at the end time of life are being well looked after with respect. Lovely place to end your days. Well done.

We as a family are very impressed with the very individual loving care that she is receiving at all times of day and night.
All staff have obviously been trained to a very high standard.
Whenever we visit the home it is always spotlessly clean and at a constant temperature.
My mother is very impressed with the high-quality food as we are.

She very much enjoys the weekly visit to the hairdresser and manicurist.

First impressions count! Everyone smiles. My 90-year-old friend was collected by senior Cumnor Hill House staff from an unsatisfactory respite care home. As we saw her being wheeled efficiently into the lively reception/bar area we heard the following conversation: "Would you prefer white or red?. Oh, Rose, I think." Happiness all round potential respite resident is now a permanent enthusiastic resident and much improved in health and spirits. THANK YOU ALL.

Very comfortable, friendly staff and nursing service were very good.
Morning tea and breakfast service rather unreliable and slow. Patients with Dementia seemed to be around on every floor, which was somewhat upsetting for patients seeking rest and recuperation in a calm atmosphere.

The spa and hairdressing facilities and staff were excellent in everyway.

An excellent care home which looks to provide facilities such as chauffeured cars out to bridge games, above and beyond the norm. This is an all inclusive venture that provides visitors with many of the amenities they would have received if they had visited residents in their own homes.

We were invited to join a birthday lunch by a friend staying at Cumnor Hill House for 4 weeks. The first thing we noticed was how well and relaxed they looked. He had nothing but praise for the care he was receiving. After a welcome drink at the bar we were taken to the 'Fine Dining' room where we were served a most delicious 3-course meal. Both the food and the lovely way we were looked after were exceptional. There were children in our party and the chef made them meals to order. During coffee in the adjoining lounge, a homemade birthday cake appeared. Thank you to everyone concerned. Cumnor Hill House is a very special place.
