My nan has been here since June. It’s a wonderful home with excellent staff, who go above and beyond and always have smiles on their faces. The facilities are amazing and there is always something going on to keep the residents entertained. It really is like a 5-star hotel. I wouldn’t want my Nan to
be cared for anywhere else!

First impressions when you walk in are very friendly and clean. All staff are very pleasant and greet you with a smile. There is always something going on for residents to take part in throughout the weeks. In my opinion, you would struggle to find a better care home. Well done everyone for making my
visits to see my mother enjoyable.

We had a lovely time yesterday at the Christmas lunch. The atmosphere was warm and the staff friendly and caring. The team organising this event had obviously put a great deal of hard work under the leadership of the Manager. I didn't expect my brother to still be there but it is with your expert care
and attention to all his needs that he continues to survive. Thank you so much.

We came to the Christmas party on Sunday the 16th of December. It was a very enjoyable afternoon - good food, great entertainment, staff worked tirelessly. Brilliant effort.
Most importantly, my mother-in-law loved it - never seen her smile and sing so much!

Very kind and attentive staff.
I was worried about my very independent Grandmother having to go to a care home but I have been very reassured.
The home is lovely and she seems happy.

Well designed new nursing home. Spacious and comfortable. Good size room chosen and with a low window skill, idea for window gazing and a feeling of being in a lovely room, not a cubicle/cell.

Excellent management (manager and deputy), friendly and considerate. Splendid team of carers, smiling and

cheerful. Good meals and choices. Good activities well exceeded our expectations and my mother liked it here notwithstanding only a short stay until her passing.

My mother-in-law has really improved in her appearance and demeanour since moving here three weeks ago.
She had been losing weight through not eating properly and had been lonely.
She has now put on some 5lbs and is looking more healthy and happy.
We are very impressed with the care she has received
at Belmont House. Thank you all.

First time in the home today since my mother of 99 arrived here.
Came for a birthday party.
All very well organised, very nice food.
Facilities and room look excellent.
Carpet on bedroom floor might be better if Mother falls.
I used the webcam prior to visiting and the facilities clearly match
up.
Very impressed so far.

We came to celebrate our nan's 89th birthday. The function room was beautifully decorated, the food delicious and staff couldn't do enough for us, especially lovely for our mum and uncle (Nana's brother) who were able to enjoy the day with nan rather than doing all the running around. Thank you.

The venue, room, all the staff without exception, the chef and everyone involved have made the birthday for our mother and grandmother most memorable. The staff could not do enough for all of us. Our mother/grandmother could not stop smiling and enjoying every moment. Well done and thank you to one

My mother has been a resident at Belmont House for 18 months. She has recently passed away but during those months she was treated with much kindness, warmth and understanding as her dementia developed and health declined.
There was a family atmosphere and you were greeted by the lovely receptionist
which made visits easier.
The care my mother received in her last weeks was outstanding and my husband and I also felt cared for.
The staff are wonderful!

My Dad is at Belmont receiving palliative care.
As this is his birthday we booked the private dining room to have a family meal which was very nice.
The dining room had been decorated by staff and the food was great and our hostess was lovely and friendly.
We are very grateful for everyone's efforts
to make dad's birthday a special occasion.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.875)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.875) out of 10 for Belmont House Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 35 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 35 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.875 for Belmont House Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (362 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 408 Ratings = 4.875
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belmont House Nursing Home is based on 35 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 35 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

As a registered nurse with 10 years of experience in the care industry, my responsibilities include overseeing clinical care delivery, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and supporting both our residents and team in achieving the highest quality of care.

What brings me joy is the ability to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, no matter how small. Seeing residents achieve their goals, whether it’s regaining independence or simply finding moments of happiness, is incredibly rewarding. Knowing that our team plays a part in their journey is priceless and fuels my passion for this work every day.

To me, ‘Care from the Heart’ means providing care that goes beyond the technical aspects of the role. It’s about empathy, compassion, and truly understanding the needs of each individual. It’s treating residents as if they were family, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and happiness are always at the forefront of everything we do.

I believe my impact lies in fostering a culture of compassion and teamwork. By leading by example and supporting my colleagues, I aim to elevate the standard of care we provide. In the future, I would like to further develop initiatives that strengthen team collaboration, ensuring our home remains a place where everyone thrives.
