Have been so impressed with Belmont House, the manager is so professional and he has a great team on the reception and in the offices.

I was very impressed on Friday as they put on a fantastic Las Vegas themed afternoon.

The well-being officer always makes sure all the residents are well catered for different activities.

Overall Experience

Belmont House looks impressive from outside, convenient parking, interior design superb, open, spacious, well lighted, bedroom views to gardens are superb and calming for the resident. My parent is on respite and towards permanent resident. Reception staff are friendly, inviting and cheerful. The manager's approachable and contactable, makes time for a chat with residents, relatives and open door communications with staff to address any concerns. Care staff are dedicated, caring, friendly, professional and vocational. Dietary needs adjusted accordingly, menus are diverse and cater for all tastes, hospitality management - superb. Facilities and maintenance are amazing, timely, prompt handling requests, repairs and adjustments, cleanliness, impressive. Activities are fun, engaging, open to ideas, creating a warm environment and encouraging residents to participate and enjoy good company. Senior nurses are dedicated, diligent, efficient, assuring relatives the best care provided on daily basis and concerns addressed promptly. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxed, calm and staff liaise with management to create the environment crucial for the residents, ensuring up to date staff training and improvements. Monthly manager meetings for residents and relatives encourages all to feel they can contribute and create a family environment.

My Mother in Law has been a resident at Belmont House since April 2017. In that time we have seen the staff and management turn the place from poor to good rating, which is somewhat remarkable in my view. My Mother in Law wouldn't come out of her room at the beginning now however I have to go and find her when I visit. She attends almost every activity. Activities particularly excellent.

My nan has been here since June. It’s a wonderful home with excellent staff, who go above and beyond and always have smiles on their faces. The facilities are amazing and there is always something going on to keep the residents entertained. It really is like a 5-star hotel. I wouldn’t want my Nan to be cared for anywhere else!

First impressions when you walk in are very friendly and clean. All staff are very pleasant and greet you with a smile. There is always something going on for residents to take part in throughout the weeks. In my opinion, you would struggle to find a better care home. Well done everyone for making my visits to see my mother enjoyable.

We had a lovely time yesterday at the Christmas lunch. The atmosphere was warm and the staff friendly and caring. The team organising this event had obviously put a great deal of hard work under the leadership of the Manager. I didn't expect my brother to still be there but it is with your expert care and attention to all his needs that he continues to survive. Thank you so much.

We came to the Christmas party on Sunday the 16th of December. It was a very enjoyable afternoon - good food, great entertainment, staff worked tirelessly. Brilliant effort.

Most importantly, my mother-in-law loved it - never seen her smile and sing so much!

Well designed new nursing home. Spacious and comfortable. Good size room chosen and with a low window skill, idea for window gazing and a feeling of being in a lovely room, not a cubicle/cell.

Excellent management (manager and deputy), friendly and considerate. Splendid team of carers, smiling and cheerful. Good meals and choices. Good activities well exceeded our expectations and my mother liked it here notwithstanding only a short stay until her passing.

My mother-in-law has really improved in her appearance and demeanour since moving here three weeks ago.
She had been losing weight through not eating properly and had been lonely.
She has now put on some 5lbs and is looking more healthy and happy.

We are very impressed with the care she has received at Belmont House. Thank you all.

First time in the home today since my mother of 99 arrived here.
Came for a birthday party.
All very well organised, very nice food.
Facilities and room look excellent.
Carpet on bedroom floor might be better if Mother falls.
I used the webcam prior to visiting and the facilities clearly match up.

Very impressed so far.

We came to celebrate our nan's 89th birthday. The function room was beautifully decorated, the food delicious and staff couldn't do enough for us, especially lovely for our mum and uncle (Nana's brother) who were able to enjoy the day with nan rather than doing all the running around. Thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

Maria Stancu
Maria StancuJob Title:Home Manager

As a registered nurse with 10 years of experience in the care industry, my responsibilities include overseeing clinical care delivery, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and supporting both our residents and team in achieving the highest quality of care.

What brings me joy is the ability to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, no matter how small. Seeing residents achieve their goals, whether it’s regaining independence or simply finding moments of happiness, is incredibly rewarding. Knowing that our team plays a part in their journey is priceless and fuels my passion for this work every day.

To me, ‘Care from the Heart’ means providing care that goes beyond the technical aspects of the role. It’s about empathy, compassion, and truly understanding the needs of each individual. It’s treating residents as if they were family, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and happiness are always at the forefront of everything we do.

I believe my impact lies in fostering a culture of compassion and teamwork. By leading by example and supporting my colleagues, I aim to elevate the standard of care we provide. In the future, I would like to further develop initiatives that strengthen team collaboration, ensuring our home remains a place where everyone thrives.
