The venue, room, all the staff without exception, the chef and everyone involved have made the birthday for our mother and grandmother most memorable. The staff could not do enough for all of us. Our mother/grandmother could not stop smiling and enjoying every moment. Well done and thank you to one and all.

My mother has been a resident at Belmont House for 18 months. She has recently passed away but during those months she was treated with much kindness, warmth and understanding as her dementia developed and health declined.
There was a family atmosphere and you were greeted by the lovely receptionist which made visits easier.
The care my mother received in her last weeks was outstanding and my husband and I also felt cared for.

The staff are wonderful!

My Dad is at Belmont receiving palliative care.
As this is his birthday we booked the private dining room to have a family meal which was very nice.
The dining room had been decorated by staff and the food was great and our hostess was lovely and friendly.

We are very grateful for everyone's efforts to make dad's birthday a special occasion.

My aunt, who has moderate dementia, has been a resident here for nearly 2 years. There have been huge improvements in all aspects of care over this period and I am now extremely happy with the service provided. She is well looked after and treated with kindness and respect. The staff get good training and are sympathetic and understanding with the needs of the residents. Management and staff are responsive to concerns and preferences. My aunt always tells me how happy she is here. And one more thing - they throw great parties.

At the beginning of this year, following a fall in his home, my 94-year-old father was admitted to hospital where it was discovered he had an aggressive cancer and had about 3 months to live. Dad made the decision that it was time "to be looked after". Belmont House was the last of three nursing homes that my husband and I looked at on behalf of Dad, and we immediately knew this would be the best one for him. Dad then spent a very happy seven weeks at the home before he sadly died. The staff were so wonderful - friendly, kind, caring and loving not only towards Dad but to us, his family. He had a beautiful room which overlooked the lovely garden. He was encouraged to have his meals in the restaurant - there is one on each of the three floors - where the food was delicious and appetising. Every day we visited, we were offered tea and home-made cakes and were made welcome. I cannot speak more highly of Belmont House and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Mum has just moved into Belmont House and everything is great. Mum has dementia and the staff treat her with care, kindness and a full understanding of her disease. The food is lovely and always presented well and the staff take time with all the patients to make sure they eat.

I visited my friend who was a new resident and found the people who worked in the care home all very welcoming and pleasant. My friend was having her hair done and we waited in the reception area where we were offered tea and coffee and delicious cake. The home was clean and modern and my friend is very happy there. I look forward to seeing more of the home on my next visit.

I had a bad experience with care homes when my father was placed into one supposedly offering end of life care, in which he later died. I was determined that my mother would not suffer the same fate, so my wife and I spent many weekends visiting care homes and by also speaking to both guests and staff. I chose the best establishment I could find Belmont House, 75 Worcester Road, Sutton SM2 6ND. I can now say that my mother has improved both cognitively and physically to a remarkable level. The management and staff are superb and really excel in all parts of the care process. They gave me my mum back!

This has to be the best care home I have ever seen and I have seen a few over the years of work. My friend is well taken care of and is truly a different person now they have totally restored her dignity. This home is the best for motivation, activity and nursing care. It is like a big family of client and staff as well as visitors.

My husband has spent his last weeks in this lovely nursing home.

Nothing was too much trouble to make his last days comfortable, even ordering a larger bed.

Food was always enjoyable with plenty of different menus.

The manager had a room available for me for the last days of his life.

I would recommend this nursing home to everyone.

From the moment our family interacted with Belmont House, they could not have been more helpful and more supportive. The nursing staff were amazing and the management did whatever they could to help. The carers tried so hard to help and went out of their way to accommodate too.

Excellent all round!

My brother spent the last 6 weeks of his life in Belmont House. The room was lovely and the staff were very warm and caring. His pain medication was very well monitored and any help he needed was always available very quickly. More importantly, he was always treated with the utmost respect and both he and his visitors warmly treated. It is always a very difficult time, but we were very impressed with the whole team and the lengths they went to to ensure more able residents had interesting activities to enjoy on a regular basis.

My 96-year-old mother spent the last 6 weeks of her life in Belmont House where the care was exemplary. The staff not only looked after her but were painstaking in their care and concern for us, her family. We were made welcome at any time of day or night and they did all they could to make our mother's last few weeks as comfortable as possible.

Meet the Team (1)

Maria Stancu
Maria StancuJob Title:Home Manager

As a registered nurse with 10 years of experience in the care industry, my responsibilities include overseeing clinical care delivery, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and supporting both our residents and team in achieving the highest quality of care.

What brings me joy is the ability to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, no matter how small. Seeing residents achieve their goals, whether it’s regaining independence or simply finding moments of happiness, is incredibly rewarding. Knowing that our team plays a part in their journey is priceless and fuels my passion for this work every day.

To me, ‘Care from the Heart’ means providing care that goes beyond the technical aspects of the role. It’s about empathy, compassion, and truly understanding the needs of each individual. It’s treating residents as if they were family, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and happiness are always at the forefront of everything we do.

I believe my impact lies in fostering a culture of compassion and teamwork. By leading by example and supporting my colleagues, I aim to elevate the standard of care we provide. In the future, I would like to further develop initiatives that strengthen team collaboration, ensuring our home remains a place where everyone thrives.
