Just visited my Mother in law on Saturday and they had a wonderful event in the afternoon for D Day. Lovely decorations, a great spread of food and there were 2 singers in army uniform singing songs around that era. Everyone loved the event and it certainly got the residents singing. Sally and Mandeep
did an exceptional job in setting the day up. Well done. Even though the weather wasn't in our favour that did not dampen the day.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear that you and your mother-in-law enjoyed our D-Day celebration.
It was wonderful to see so many residents joining in with the singing and reminiscing as the performers brought the era to life. Sally and Mandeep will be thrilled to hear your kind words and recognition of all their hard work in making the day so special.
Although the weather wasn’t on our side, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit of the occasion. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience it means a great deal to our team.

Liberham Lodge is a truly wonderful care home. The staff are what make it. They are exceptionally kind and attentive. Their rapport with each other and their team spirit is what makes them so caring towards the residents. They get to know the residents very quickly asked pertinent questions to ensure
the best care is given to your loved one. Nothing is too much trouble. One request is quickly communicated across the team and everyone seems aware of the care needed ad given. I wish my dad could have stayed longer than respite care.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
It was an absolute pleasure to have your father stay with us for respite. He is a truly delightful gentleman, and it didn't take long for both the team and residents to enjoy his company. We loved getting to know him and having him as part of life at Liberham Lodge.
Your kind comments about the team mean so much. They genuinely care about every resident and work hard to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, supported and valued from the moment they arrive, so I know they will be touched to read your feedback.
Like you, we were sorry that your father's stay was only for a short time, and many of us said we wished he could have stayed longer. He will always be very welcome at Liberham Lodge, and we hope to see him again in the future.
Thank you again for your trust and for your wonderful words.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Although only staying 14 days for respite following a spell in hospital, overall I had a very favourable impression. The food and catering was excellent, far exceeding expectations. There were a good range of organised activities and trips available most weeks. The staff were informally very friendly,
helpful and attentive. The rooms were quiet, adequate for a 14 night stay, but storage space might prove rather restrictive for a longer period of stay. The communal "bistro" area was on the small side, becoming crowded particularly if an activity was being organised. The easy chairs were not particularly comfortable. However a wide range of snacks and drinks were available throughout the day, as were a number of daily newspapers. The outside space and gardens were extensive and well maintained.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you for sharing your feedback following your 14-day respite stay with us.
We are delighted to hear that you had a favourable experience and that you particularly enjoyed the quality of our food, the range of activities and outings and the friendliness and attentiveness of our team. It is also wonderful to know that you appreciated our gardens and outdoor spaces, as well as the refreshments and newspapers available throughout the day.
We are equally grateful for your constructive comments regarding the storage space within the rooms, the size of the bistro area during busier periods, and the comfort of some of the seating. Feedback such as yours helps us identify opportunities to improve, and we will certainly take these observations into consideration as part of our ongoing reviews. We would also like to confirm that a bistro replenishment project is due to begin this summer, during which we will be updating the reception and bistro area to improve comfort for our residents. The storage space in the room can be personalised for residents who resides in the home on permanent basis.
Thank you again for your balanced and thoughtful review. We are pleased that we were able to support you during your recovery following your hospital stay, and we wish you all the very best for the future.

Amazing home, with such caring staff. The customer relationship manager was absolutely outstanding, from the initial phone call enquiring about the home, to my mum going into the home. All staff have cared about my mums family too, going above and beyond.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for your lovely review. I know how emotional and difficult the decision to move a loved one into care can be, and how much of an impact it has on the whole family too.
It's a privilege to support you and your family through your mum’s transition into the home, and I’m so glad you felt cared for and supported along the way. It really means a lot to know we were able to make things a little easier and give you some reassurance during such an important time.
Thank you again for your kind words, they genuinely mean so much to me and the whole team.

My Mum is in the carer home in the Dementia level and after a tough few months before her going in this care home. I finally feel happy that she is in a safe place. She is well looked after and we are kept updated with how she is and what she gets up to during the day. There are lots of activities organised
and although my mum does not get involved as she does not have that engagement for activities I feel she is looked after and is in a safe environment. I would like to mention what a great support Georgie is and is always around to check in on not only my Mum but also me and the rest of the family

Dad settled quickly into Liberham Lodge and is very happy there. Staff are caring and take time with him.
NIce variety of food and plenty of activities and entertainment to suit most people. Also outings in the minibus if able. Lovely gardens with mature trees, lawns, lavender and a 'figure of 8'
wheelchair friendly path. Bistro area is great for residents and relatives with an outside patio. We have found the customer relations manager to be consistently helpful and supportive, especially during Dad's initial move in after a crisis and hospital admission.

Our Mother has been at Liberham for over 2 yrs. and is very settled there.
She enjoys the routine, activities, outings and the gardens (where a daily walk in most weathers is her aim).
The staff are excellent and always focused on the residents and their needs. They operate as a team and are very
well led and supported.
Communication with myself, brother and sister is always timely when necessary and we are actively encouraged to review Mum's care plan with the carers as well as with Mum herself.
Reply from Georgina Wilkins, Reviews Team at Liberham LodgeThank you so much for your lovely review. Mum is very much a part of life at Liberham, and we all enjoy seeing her heading out for her daily walk around the gardens.
It’s wonderful to know that the routines, activities and outings bring her enjoyment, and your kind words about the team are really appreciated. The team genuinely care about each resident and work closely together to make sure everyone feels safe, supported and valued.
We also really appreciate the open and trusting relationship we have with you, your brother and sister. Being able to share updates and involve you and your mum in her care planning is something we feel is so important.
Thank you again for your trust and for taking the time to share your experience. It is a privilege to care for your mum and to have her with us at Liberham Lodge.

Liberham Lodge has been excellent. My father had a month's respite care in LL whilst I was away on holiday as my mum wouldn't have been able to manage in an emergency.

A few months later, unfortunately my Dad had to go in permanently - but LL was full. We moved my dad into another home but it wasn't

satisfactory - the care did not feel up to standard. I worked with Christine from LL over a few weeks - and as soon as there was a space free she let me know and we moved my Dad.

I have been really happy with the care at LL - my Dad has Alzeimers and medical needs - and there are so many staff caring for him, it is excellent. The food is good, and they have a bar and cafe - and it is really welcoming.

My Dad has had issues, and they have called ambulances, checked on him in hospital and facilitated his release as soon as possible as the home is much better for him than hospital.

Everyone is great, bit I must highlight Marian, James, Christine & Chris. All lovely!

Liberham Lodge took very good care of my friend who was extremely young to be in a care home. They all recognised she had a fantastic sense of humour and not only encouraged that but brought it to the fore. They also were very welcoming whenever we visited and even provided a lovely lunch with wine

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.881)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.881) out of 10 for Liberham Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.881 for Liberham Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (306 Excellents x 5) + (35 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 344 Ratings = 4.881
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Liberham Lodge is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 registered maximum number of service users is 14.8, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m an experienced home manager, and I joined Care UK from another big care provider in 2016. I wanted to be part of a more proactive company that would help me achieve my goals. Care UK has a very good reputation and is well known for caring as much for its colleagues as its residents.

I believe that, as a home manager, you’re as good as your team. That’s why I always make sure I’m giving colleagues the support they need to do their jobs well. I love walking around the home, checking in with them and the residents. It’s wonderful when residents take the time to sit and chat to me and share what they’ve been doing that day.

I’m Georgie Wilkins, and I’ve been working as a Customer Relations Manager with Care UK for the past 5 years.

I’m really passionate about supporting people and being there for families when they’re making such important decisions about care. I understand how emotional and sometimes overwhelming the journey can feel, so I always try to make things as simple, clear and reassuring as possible.

For me, it’s all about building genuine relationships. I take the time to listen, understand what matters most, and make sure every person feels heard, valued and comfortable. I want families to feel supported from that very first conversation and to know they can always come to me with any questions or worries.

I’d describe myself as warm, approachable and understanding, and I pride myself on creating a friendly, welcoming experience for everyone I meet. It’s important to me that people feel at ease and confident in the choices they’re making.

Being part of Care UK means a lot to me, and I’m proud to work alongside such a supportive team to help create a place where residents truly feel at home.
