Two members of staff, in particular, are absolutely marvellous supporting my mum with day care. My mother thoroughly enjoys the activities and chatting with other service users. Mum enjoys all the activities; painting, movement to music, and cards and she loves the day trips.
I am pleased to know that your Mum enjoyed her day care sessions with our marvellous day care team. Thank you for your feedback.
I have nothing but praise for them. The Home is lovely and friendly - a pleasant place to be.
Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your husband was happy during his stay with us. Thank you for the kind words.
Building is spotless. Staff are lovely and professional.
Thank you for your positive review. Your kind words are very much appreciated.
I could not be more pleased with this care home; it is outstanding. As a retired clinician, I have visited many homes in my working life. I was dismayed when my husband's dementia became too difficult to continue home caring. At Royal Star and Garter he is very happy and well cared for by cheerful, smiling, competent, caring and welcoming staff, nothing appears to be too much trouble for them. The rooms, facilities and cleanliness are superb.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you are pleased with the care we provide and to know that your husband was happy and well cared for. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and serve as inspiration for us to continue providing outstanding care.
My wife has now been a resident in one of the specialist dementia wings for over 3 years suffering with Alzheimer's disease. The home itself is modern in its design. It is light and airy and has clearly been designed with an understanding and sympathy of the needs of dementia residents. It is very well managed and the staff are thoroughly trained in the requirements and demands of those with this progressive disease. They are kind, friendly and caring in every respect. My wife is so content and comfortable that I feel she thinks she is actually at home. I can't rate the Royal Star and Garter highly enough.
Thank you so much for sharing your positive feedback about our specialist dementia environment. We are pleased to hear that your wife feels content and at home in our modern, dementia-friendly environment. Your kind words mean a lot to us.
It is a rare experience in life to find an organisation in which one has complete and utter faith. I am happy to say that the Royal Star & Garter is one of those organisations. Everything about them says quality, which is why I have given it five stars throughout. Be assured that, in my opinion, should your loved one take up residence with the Royal Star & Garter he or she will be treated with kindness, care, and affection within the safe and warm environment the home provides.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly honoured to receive such kind words from you. We are delighted to hear that you have complete faith in our organisation and that you found the quality of our services to be exceptional. Providing a safe and warm...
The staff at The Royal Star and Garter always go above and beyond when caring for residents. My father is living with Dementia and has been living at the home for almost two years now. The staff are kind, patient, attentive and supportive. To celebrate his birthday earlier this month, they organised a balloon, prepared a cake and invited other residents from around the home to join the celebration with us. This made the day extremely special for my sister and I, as well as my father. What a wonderful team.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide positive feedback about your father's experience at our home. I am delighted to hear that you and your father enjoyed his birthday celebration. It brings our team great joy to know that we have met your expectations and provided excellent care for your father. Thank you again for entrusting your father's care to us.
You always leave uplifted. From walking through the door into a smart contemporary reception hall, which is more posh hotel than care home, you are greeted by happy caring people whether they are staff, residents or family members visiting. Everyone cares, and you will end up caring about everyone too after a very short time. It is truly a family atmosphere. The staff are highly professional. Everyone is respected and understood. The minds in that building are or were phenomenal, and everyone had a fascinating life. This ethos is carried through.
Thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful feedback. We are thrilled to hear that your experience at our home has been uplifting and positive. Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like they are part of one big family. Our staff are dedicated to...
The home is magnificently equipped and from my limited medical experience, I couldn’t help but notice how swift and accurate the nursing support was.
The food is excellent, both catering and care staff go out of their way to make everybody very welcome and show great patience with those who find it difficult to eat. The well-being coordinators really went out of their way to provide a varied programme, which is delivered with the best possible humour and encouragement. The open-door policy clearly pays off as the home always seems to have fresh visiting faces, from which I certainly felt unconfined.
A really nice place for an old person to live.
Thank you for your wonderful, detailed feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a positive experience during your short break stay at our home. We are glad to hear that you felt welcomed from the moment you walked through the door and that our team was able to provide prompt and accurate...
The staff and care team are amazing, so caring.
Special thanks to the three ladies for making us feel part of the Royal Star and Garter family.
Again thank you.
Thank you for your kind words in your review. We are delighted to read that your Dad has settled in well and that you feel part of the family. We will pass on your kind words to the three ladies who went above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
You are made to feel like part of the family.
The meals are always good and I like that I can stay and have a meal with my dad at a small cost. I would recommend the Royal Star and Garter to all family and friends.
That is wonderful to read. It is great to know that your experience at our home has been so positive. It is a testament to the caring and welcoming atmosphere the staff have created. Your recommendation will surely mean a lot to those looking for a home for their loved ones. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
My husband has been a resident at the Royal Star and Garter for 3 years this coming July. I researched various care homes in Berkshire where I live. However, I did not feel confident in any of those that I looked at. That was until I heard from a friend about the Royal Star and Garter in Buckinghamshire. The care given to my husband goes above and beyond my expectations. The staff are so very kind, especially when life becomes challenging, which from time to time has been the case. I can only say that because my husband was in the Army, this meant he qualified for a place in this care home. There are many activities at the home. However, sadly my husband no longer wants to take part. The staff not only look after my husband, they also look after me. Royal Star and Garter have also taught me about the 'Butterfly' method of caring for someone with Dementia. So I thank them profusely for all that they do.
I am touched to know that the staff go above and beyond to provide excellent care and support not just for your husband but for you as well. It is wonderful that you have found a place that meets your expectations and where you feel supported. Thank you for taking the time to express your appreciation and I wish you and your husband continued comfort and care.
My father, who is now 91, has been a resident at The Royal Star And Garter High Wycombe since November 2020, when we moved him from another home in order to get specialist Dementia care. He is very content and settled here and as a family, we are delighted with the care, attention, expertise and friendliness of all the staff. We often have lunch with him - after a game of Scrabble which he is still very able to play; beating me more often than I would like - and I have to say the food is very good and is a highlight for my father who is constantly checking his watch to make sure our game is not over-running! I like to have lunch with him on Fridays to get the benefit of the fantastic fish and chips. The home is modern, clean and spacious and the staff are like friends - we could ask for nothing more.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I am delighted to know that your father remains settled and thriving at his home and receiving exceptional care from our dedicated staff. Thank you for recognising the friendly approach and expertise of our dedicated team. It's lovely to hear about your...
I cannot rate the Royal Star and Garter Care Home in High Wycombe highly enough; it is a well-designed, bright and clean environment. I know my father does/will receive excellent care when he stays at the home for short-term care breaks. All the staff are kind, caring, friendly and considerate; they make him feel very welcome, and he says, ‘the food is lovely and that he is looked after well’.
Thank you for the excellent review of the home and for highlighting the exceptional quality of our services. Such positive feedback motivates and inspires our dedicated staff to continue delivering exceptional care to all our residents.
My mother is well cared for, feels safe and secure and is happier than she has been for several years as her health has declined. Staff are friendly and helpful. The environment is spacious, well-maintained and perfectly designed for elderly people with mobility issues. We looked at several homes before choosing this one; it is without a doubt the best I have seen. I can highly recommend it.
She is always relaxed and happy as well as clean, tidy and well turned out. I have no concerns about her physical and mental care. I know I would be informed immediately of any problems.
The residence is full of stimulating decor and is always clean and tidy. The staff are always cheerful and caring.
I feel we are lucky to have access to such a facility for her.
Thank you to all members of the team.
Since my father moved into the Royal Star & Garter in High Wycombe, he has received outstanding care and, as a result, is happier, more chatty and far healthier than I have seen him in years. Everything, from the nursing and physiotherapy through to the social events and catering, are excellent. My father loves having other ex-service personnel to chat to and I love having the peace of mind that my dad is somewhere where he is happy. The staff make sure to involve the family and keep us updated on everything. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
We genuinely value your kind words, highlighting the...
Since my mother entered the home in February 2023, the staff have been supportive, responsive and done whatever they can to ensure that her transition has been as smooth and welcoming as possible. As I live many thousands of miles away, it’s important to me to have confidence in the knowledge that my mother is as comfortable and happy as she can be.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback about your mother's experience at Royal Star & Garter, High Wycombe. We are thrilled to hear that our staff have been supportive, responsive and have made your mother's transition as smooth and welcoming as possible. We understand how...
From the moment that my sister-in-law entered Royal Star & Garter in High Wycombe, my husband and I knew that we had picked absolutely the best possible care for her. She has been residing there for almost a year now and she settled very quickly without any problems. This was due to the fact that all her needs were, and are, met with the utmost care. She really feels safe and loved. All the staff and carers are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Her room is so spacious and comfortable and she has a lovely view from her bedroom window. Whenever we visit, we can see the standard of care that she is receiving as she looks so clean and her clothes are spotless. We can see that the laundry is first-class as well. The communication from the home to us is excellent, as we are kept very much informed about everything that is happening, both now and in the future. It is such a relief, when we leave her, to know that she is receiving such dedicated care.
It gives us great pleasure to know that...
My mother is so happy living at the Royal Star and Garter. Her every wish is tended to. Her staff treat her as their family. She enjoys mostly varied activities and laughs daily. I am always sad to leave my mum but know she could not be in better hands. Care is wonderful at Royal Star & Garter. This, in turn, allows me peace of mind when I'm not with her. Heartfelt thanks.
Thank you for the amazing review that you recently posted about our home. It brings our team an immense joy to know that we have met your expectations and provided excellent care for your mother. I am thrilled to hear that your mum feels like she is being treated like family. We strive to create a...
