Snowdrop House in Ware delivers a full range of care services for older people, including residential, dementia and nursing care and respite services. The purpose-built home combines high-quality, personalised care with a luxurious lifestyle.

The home is bright and airy, with its own hair and beauty salon, café and cinema room. Each bedroom is individually styled with its own en-suite facilities. Many rooms also offer direct access to the beautiful gardens.

The dedicated team supports residents to continue enjoying a range of daily group and one-to-one activities, all tailored to their interests. If they wish, residents can also keep busy with light tasks around the home, from laying the table for lunch or helping in the gardens.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Snowdrop House has exceeded my and my family's expectations. This was Mum's second care home and this was obvious this was the place for her. She is very happy and I genuinely feel she is loved and treated with so much dignity. It breaks my heart that she is no longer at home but I truly feel she now

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Cafe in the entrance area very helpful as self-service and a quiet place to bring my husband down to from the dementia floor above. Stop. Very attentive and reassuring. Garden is lovely with different areas to visit. Phone sometimes not answered as maybe staff low at times.

My partner was admitted to Snowdrop House in an emergency from the hospital on the 15th of February and stayed until the 12th of April 2024. She was treated very well by all the staff, I feel she was happy there. However, the cost was very high and I had to move her to another home.

Absolutely awful. Institutional, residents all packed into the small lounge, near the office, often no music on, no TV, no activities. I'm so glad my mums not there any more. Dementia residents are put on the middle floor with no access to gardens. It's very overpriced and when the resident runs out
of money they have to leave. The food is very modern, not traditional.

My mother-in-law is very happy in the home and although she is terminally ill, her health and well-being have improved since she has been staying at Snowdrop House. The staff are very good at talking to her and engaging with her and are very kind in taking her out to smoke as she is a life-long smoker.
The
staff are very kind to me and my partner and always make us feel very welcome and involved. I can't recommend this home highly enough.

Snowdrop House treated my father with kindness and respect during his time there. He recently passed after a short illness, and I cannot fault the care he received. He passed with dignity, and that was a great comfort to the family. The staff were supportive and helpful during this difficult time.

We're so glad we chose Snowdrop House. They all look after my husband very well. The food is exceptional, always very tasty. Activities are very good. Nursing staff have not got my husband's diabetes under control, the first time for many years. All in all, Snowdrop House was definitely the right care
home for my husband. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for 24-hour care for their loved ones.

My mum has been at Snowdrop two years and now lives on the nursing floor after moving up from the care floor. I cannot rate this home high enough, the level of care she receives is excellent. All the staff are friendly and above all caring. I sleep at night knowing Mum is getting the best care.

On the whole, everything seems to run satisfactorily after a few teething problems. There still seems to be an issue with the food not being hot enough. The staff are friendly and helpful and overall a very happy atmosphere.

I find Snowdrop House very inviting, safe and friendly when I visit my father. The carers always ensure I am kept up to date with my dad's well being and anything that may have occurred since last visit. Staff always smiling and happy to assist whenever possible. Snowdrop House is a caring community, particularly addressing the needs of residents. The staff are very friendly, courteous and considerate at all times. I started working for Care UK in 2014 and I believe to be an effective home manager you need to have a positive attitude and be caring, respectful and approachable.


I have 20 years of experience in the care industry, qualifying in Cambridge and specialising in respiratory and end-of-life care. I have undertaken a wide variety of roles across the country, from care case manager for the East of England to working in the prison service, in hospitals, care homes and with people with challenging behaviour.


My favourite part of the working day is motivating my team to ensure the residents are our main focus of the day. Together we create memorable moments, laughter and joy with them.
