Mum entered Mountview Care Home for emergency respite but loved being there so much that she didn't want to return home.
The home is very welcoming and Mum's room is like a bedroom in a top-class hotel. My young granddaughter says she would like to live in the room, high praise indeed. Mum is encouraged
to join in the variety of activities that are on offer and although often cannot remember what she has done, photos on social media are proof that she has taken part.
It is just reassuring to know that Mum is no longer living alone but is being well cared for in a place where she wishes to be.

We are extremely happy with the level of care provided to our mother who has been a resident for four months. The purpose built accommodation is very pleasant with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, easy access ensuite facilities and plenty of different communal areas, all well designed and spotlessly
clean. The meals are prepared freshly on the premises and, most importantly, the standard of care provided by the cheerful and professional care staff is second to none. We feel very fortunate to have found such an ideal place for our mother now that she is unable to continue living decently at home.

The staff are lovely, very enthusiastic and helpful. The food is excellent and plentiful. The building always feels very clean and fresh. The bedrooms are generously sized with larger than single sized beds and the lovely wide corridors make it feel more hotel-like.

My Mum continues to receive great care from Mountview Care Home. We saw her on social media in her disposable overalls enjoying painting the Easter bench. The staff really do go the extra mile to try to find something that individual residents will enjoy doing. When I go to see her she regularly tells
me she has no complaints and the staff are very good to her.
The building continues to be immaculately maintained and all the staff are always very friendly when I visit.
I never have any concerns when I leave after visiting as I know she is being exceptionally well cared for.

Mountview provide my mother with exceptional care, they are all very professional, helpful and kind. Mum is very often quite poorly, the care they give her then is wonderful, caring, considerate and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are approachable and they all know Mum and spend time with
her. I can’t praise all the staff enough, from the manager, carers, cooks, laundry and reception, all great.

After our dad happily spent his last few months at Mountview in 2018, we were delighted to get a private room there for our uncle in February 2023. Having visited his brother in 2018, it was his wish to spend his last days there too. This is a luxury residential home, with a TV, bed, desk, chairs and
ensuite in each beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean room. Each floor has its own beautifully decorated lounge/dining room with comfy chairs. There's also a tea room, garden room, library, cinema, hair salon and lots of quiet areas to sit in too. The food is delicious and families can book in to eat there too. We thought our uncle would need a ‘nursing home’ but were pleased to find the carers could help him with personal care and toileting as he was too weak to move himself. Without exception, all staff were so very kind to him (and us for that matter). They didn’t try to make him join in the activities (although such a variety was on offer and we could see the other residents were having fun.

Thank you to the wonderful carers and staff at Mountview. It is a superb care home.
The carers are excellent and they look after my mum like she is a member of their family. They are all thoughtful and kind and treat her with respect and dignity.
The team of carers are always the same and my mum
recognises them and looks to them for her needs to be met. The carers provide a calm and loving atmosphere.
I could not wish for a better home for my mum. I am very grateful my mum came to Mountview.

Mum often says she wants for nothing. All the staff are caring and friendly and Mountview is clean and beautifully presented without being in the least bit clinical. It is always a pleasure to visit and words can't express the peace of mind we have knowing that Mum is so well looked after.

Mum continues to have the best time at Mountview! She has really made it her forever home, and she loves the social side and all the lovely activities. The staff are genuinely very caring, and her room is always homely and clean. The administration is extremely well run, and we are kept informed about
all the activities that are going on each week and are always welcome to join in. The food is excellent, and Mum has never yet been offered anything that she hasn't said was delicious. She looks forward to mixing with her friends in the restaurant area at mealtimes, but equally, she is able to stay and eat in her room if she is ever feeling a bit under the weather. We are so happy that we made the decision to move Mum up from Dorset to live closer to us in such a wonderful environment. I honestly do not think we could have found a better home from home for her.

I visited some friends who've recently moved in. I was very impressed by the staff, the cleaning and escorting they did and their friendly and polite manner. The place looks more like a hotel than a care home. I liked the small seating areas which offer private chats outside of the bedroom. The wide,
carpeted halls and corridors and the ground entrance area. Ten out of ten. I've been in many care homes but Mountview compares so well.

A superb care home in every regard. The home is very well run and all the staff are amazing. I was worried about Mum going into a home when she first had her stroke but I have no worries at all. The home is very clean, the facilities are superb and Mum is extremely well cared for in every way. Although
Mum spends a lot of time in her room, the staff are always popping in to make sure she is ok. She loves the home and staff and is treated with the utmost respect, dignity and friendliness at all times. A huge thank you to everyone.

Beautiful, home, very clean. Not enough staff, never anyone to say what Mum had been doing? Did she shower? Eating? Phone not answered. As mum has vascular dementia she couldn't explain properly how she had been helped. She lost one of her private hearing aids. Didn't seem to have any washing done.

My father was so reluctant to look at care homes as had always lived independently. After staying at Mountview, initially for two weeks respite, his attitude changed dramatically. He is now a permanent resident and enjoying life at 95 years young, and it is wonderful to see him enjoying life again.

All the care staff are always so kind and happy and caring. As a visitor, you are always made to feel very welcome.
