My father went to live in Timkin Grange Care home in August 2023 at the age of 95. From the moment he moved, his complicated needs were met with so much kindness and empathy and Dad was treated with respect and dignity always.

This All-Star Team are amazing in the way they connect with the residents despite the daily pressure and high demand of everyone's needs. I have deep respect for you all and I am eternally grateful to you for your ongoing support to all of our family and understanding during a very difficult time. I know that he appreciated your care and patience, although he probably didn't think to say so due to his mental illness. Thank you so much.

Dad was there for a couple of years, the carers who looked after him did a fantastic job they made him feel at home there. The management team was just as good, they couldn't have been more helpful. Towards the end of his life the whole team bent over backwards to make him, myself and the family comfortable. Thank you to the Timken team.

Almost immediately after Mum arrived the staff got a smile out of her. The staff at Timken Grange are amazing, and extremely well trained. I appreciated the communication particularly as I live at least 2 hours away from Northampton. On the day mum passed a phone call in the morning, the message clear and professional, had me making my way to Timken Grange in time along with two of my daughters to be with Mum as she passed, a promise I had made to her if I possibly could. I can never thank the carer who made that call enough. A thoroughly lovely touch was the comfort box Timken Grange placed in Mum's room for the use of the family after a palliative diagnosis, it was so appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending Timken Grange, the registered care manager is enthusiastic, full of energy and has demonstrable knowledge. Her values clearly filter down through the troops and this created absolute confidence that our mum was in a safe and positive environment.

Just wanted to say that the care you offered not only to my father in his final weeks but us his children too was outstanding. We can not thank you enough for the care you gave him in the past two years after his dementia sadly made living at home impossible. You truly made it his home and we were also welcomed with open arms including the family pets! All staff were absolutely superb in their interactions with Dad and showed great respect and consideration. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we can not fault the level of communication from the home on any matters relating to Dad. Sadly the final two weeks we saw your staff shift up another gear in their care especially when it became clear his time was very near. I am only too pleased that Dad was able to pass with not only your staff but also us at his bedside. This gave great comfort to us both and we were under no illusion that the home staff were as affected by his death. I would have no doubt in recommending Timken Grange.

Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review, I know we are all feeling the loss of your dad every day. We really loved him so much but then who couldn't, that cheeky smile and wicked sense of humour (hiding from the district nurses) he brought such joy to us all every day and is still brought up...

My stepfather died this morning whilst I was on my way to see him. Hearing that he was not on his own when he died was extremely comforting. He died in his sleep with a Senior Carer holding his hand and the nurse outside the room. I'm so aware that this is not the case for many care home residents and feel quite overwhelmed by the care, love and commitment shown by the Timken Grange team.

Thank you on his behalf and from myself. We were so lucky to find you.

The care given to my friend was amazing. My friend was only at the care home for a short time, she had dementia. Unfortunately, my friend became unwell and was admitted to hospital for a couple of weeks. My friend returned to Timken Grange but sadly, passed away. In her last few days, the staff treated my friend with dignity, care and kindness, as I spent a lot of time with my friend, the support shown to me throughout was wonderful.

A great team. Thank you.

My dad moved into Timken Grange at the end of August 2023, he has dementia. The staff are kind, and respectful and have taken the time to get to know him and have supported us. Any queries and concerns have been dealt with promptly. All aspects of his care have been carefully managed, we have been kept up to date with any changes and the record keeping is meticulous. My dad was poorly in the autumn, the senior carers always took my calls, kept me updated and even called me to let me know when he was having a good day, so reassuring. There's always an activity going on, or a visit out and when my dad was feeling better he joined the trip to the Gaydon Motor Museum and had a good time. The home is well designed, the building is easy to navigate, light, airy and well maintained. Timken Grange is led from the top, all the departments put the residents first. I feel very fortunate a room was available here when we needed it.

From the first point of contact, Timken appeared professional, good communication, well run and a generally lovely home. Appealing! And they have exceeded my expectations. Was I happy for Mum to go there? Yes, and I would recommend them.

Since Mum went in, she has settled well, been well monitored and has made some socialising improvements. The same goes for food intake and general well-being, which are all positive. I know, albeit difficult that I have made the right decision. Thank you, team Timken.

The staff at Timken Grange were so kind and caring to my grandmother during her respite stay whilst recovering from a fractured hip.
She had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, nothing was too much trouble and she was treated with genuine dignity.
The lifestyle team were excellent and got her involved in lots of suitable activities, including a trip out once she was mobile, which really helped her mental health.

I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

Meet the Team (6)

Louise Mulvany
Louise MulvanyJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2019

My name is Louise, I have four grown-up children and four grandsons, I have worked in the health and social care sector for 40 years,

I started my care journey when I was in the Girl Guides working towards my care badge, every weekend I would go to the local hospital and sit with the elderly patients and assist them with eating, drinking and read to them, after I earned my badge I continued to go every weekend until I was old enough to get a job in the care sector.

I started as a carer and have worked my way up. Since arriving at Timken Grange nearly seven years ago to take up a role as a senior carer I have progressed to medication manager, deputy manager, care manager and now home manager.

I am passionate about the care we provide, and our bespoke approach to each individual care needs which is provided by our fully trained care team. Whilst already having various qualifications within the sector, I am currently studying for a BSc Honours in Health and Social Care. I am excited to be utilising my skills and being able to further my career.

Being able to support my team, creating a great place to work and helping them embark on their own careers in care is important to me. I am driven by my passion for the elderly and providing exceptional care wherever I go. I am truly dedicated to the improvement and advancement of care techniques and delivering these in an environment that puts our residents at ease, thus allowing them to have their freedom and enabling them to live an enriched life.

Kelly Tomkin
Kelly TomkinJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2018

I am the deputy manager here at Timken Grange. I began my journey here as a carer back in 2018 and have worked my way up the ranks, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the process.

I have a passion for care and do my utmost to ensure that all of our residents receive person-centred care to the highest standard. I am immensely proud to be part of the team here at Timken Grange.

I'd like to tell you what I do in my spare time, however, I have a very busy life as a mother of four children, so spare time is very rare. I love spending time with my family and doing the things that my children enjoy.

Caroline Rielly
Caroline RiellyJob Title:AdministratorJoined: 2022
I have worked as a Business Support Manager at Timken Grange since May 2022 and previously worked as the administrator for another Care Home in Wellingborough for 6 years, so have been in the industry for 7 years.

I worked for many years before this in the property business, and when I moved from London to Northamptonshire working in the care industry was a real eye-opener but saw it as a whole new challenge.

The way I see it is we will all hopefully get to old age at some point, and will then all need help and assistance, and I think it is lovely to see the residents continue to enjoy and have a good quality of life.

I am currently very happy in my position as Business Support Manager, but if ever there was a position that came up to be a Region Business Support Manager, I would be interested.

Emma Gardner
Emma GardnerJob Title:Kitchen ManagerJoined: 2020

Emma is a proud mother to Lewis who is soon heading off to New York to do a 6 month placement as a chef. Emma loves to socialise, she enjoys a pint of Fosters, and spending time with friends and family, in her spare time. Emma goes out of her way to ensure all residents' nutritional needs are met and their taste buds tantalised. She is extremely funny and keeps the whole team entertained.

Hollie is a proud mother to daughter Emily and loves to spend time with her whenever she has the chance. Hollie sings wherever she is in the home, thankfully, she has a nice voice. She is very thorough and organised in everything she does, and will turn her hand to anything that needs doing in the home, even decorating rooms, which she does to an impeccably high standard.

Mark Glazebrook
Mark GlazebrookJob Title:Handy PersonJoined: 2024

Mark is a great asset to Timken Grange, he can turn his hand to most things and takes pride in keeping everything in the home in tip-top condition.

Mark loves to watch Formula One in his spare time. Mark has been around in Timken Grange since his father was cared for here, when his father passed away Mark decided to apply for the role of Handy Person, as he enjoyed being in the home. Mark hasn’t been with us long but he is already very much part of the team.
