Everything about the home is designed to enable residents to enjoy the very best lifestyle. The home has a café, hair salon and cinema, and a wide range of tailored group and one-to-one activities are planned each week. Each bedroom at Chandler Court has its own en-suite wet room, TV and 24-hour nurse call system. The chef-led catering team prides itself on creating delicious dishes tailored to residents’ tastes.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My dad was recently moved to Chandler Court for palliative care. My dad and our family were impressed by the compassionate care and attention given to my dad and family members during this difficult time by all members of the team. Chandler Court is a happy place. I observed lots of activities for the
residents, and the food was of a high standard. The care was individualised and professional. We were involved in his care, and any concerns were addressed quickly. I would recommend Chandler's Court to anyone and thank the lovely caring team for all they did for us.

My godmother decided (after much deliberation) to have two weeks respite at Chandler Court Care Home, liked it so much she decided to stay permanently after being there three days. The management team replied to my emails promptly when the admin side of her stay needed completing.
There are two negatives
according to my godmother: 1. The food isn't the best (but this may be more related to her preferences not being on the menu). 2. She requires her medication at very specific times and has often been told that she can't have it as too early. This has hopefully now been rectified.
All in all, I am delighted that my godmother is now in a safe environment and has company every day.

Our kitchen team work closely with residents to understand meal preferences and adapt the menu wherever possible to ensure it suits dietary needs, preferences and offers choice for all residents. We will continue to ensure your godmother’s needs and preferences are catered for. Our team follow instructions as directed by the GP or other prescriber. However, the nursing teams ensure they liaise with residents, so preferences are considered regarding when they take their medication.

After her partner became too unwell to continue looking after her my mother needed extra care. She did accept that she couldn't look after herself but, like many people, she was reluctant to enter a care home.
When we took my mother to see Chandler Court Care Home, the customer relations manager was
really kind and patient with her although she declined to engage.
On the day we took Mum to stay she agreed that her room was lovely and clean and all seemed well until I came to leave. Mum became really upset. The manager came to help me - she was so kind and reassuring and took the situation in hand. I'm sure she stayed beyond her hours of duty because she rang me later to tell me Mum had settled and was getting ready for bed. I was so grateful for that unexpected call!
Mum has now settled well and as each member of staff leaves her room she inevitably tells me "she's lovely". So thank you and well done to all at Chandler.

My aunt stayed at Chandler Court Care Home for two weeks during August 2022 on a respite care basis. My aunt did not want to stay but it was necessary to provide my parents with a break from carer duties. Consequently, delivering my aunt to the home was a very challenging process, helped greatly by
the excellent staff at Chandler Court. My aunt went on to settle well and within a few days was enjoying the attention she was receiving and benefiting from the activities provided. Two weeks later, I arrived to collect my aunt who by this time did not want to leave. However, the time for permanent residential care had not yet arrived for my aunt but, as a family, we knew it was not far off and to have found such a fantastic home where my aunt would return willingly when the time came was such a relief. During September 2022 the time did arrive and my aunt was moved back to Chandler Court. The move back from hospital could not have been managed better. Many thanks to all at Chandler Court for their patience and care.

We were looking for a first-time experience of two weeks respite care for my aunt who has dementia. (July 2022). Chandler Court Care Home staff were very helpful, informative and professional during the arrangements before my aunt arrived and during her stay kept in good contact with us about her experience
including providing photographs of her taking part in activities.
My aunt was very apprehensive about staying at Chandler Court but quickly settled and by the end of the two weeks she was upset about leaving and would have stayed longer. She talks extremely positively about her time there saying she 'loved it' and she would happily go again. She definitely did a lot more during her stay than in her normal life and the knock-on effect of this is that she has been more willing to try new activities at home - she is now attending a day centre one day a week which before Chandler Court we couldn't get her to agree to.
Thanks to the customer relations manager, in particular, who was our link person and was extremely helpful.

Chandler Court Care Home is beyond all my care home expectations and I couldn’t be happier that my grandad is there.
The home itself is decorated so well. Very homely and doesn’t feel commercial or hospital-like.
The staff are incredible - every single person we have come across has been friendly
and really knowledgable. It makes me feel like my grandad is in safe hands. When reading his care notes I can see he’s checked on every hour without fail and staff ensure he is washed, dressed smart, hydrated and happy!
The food looks fantastic! The dining room is again set up to be very homely. The menu is on display for residents to read daily and there’s always a wonderful variety. On the dementia ward example plates are made to give residents a choice without them having to read.
There are so many activities that my grandad is a part of and the staff are so good at encouraging him to get involved.
We couldn’t be more pleased as a family!

I am so happy with Chandler Court Care Home. My aunt lived with me for years, now she is at the care home, I just felt so guilty and upset not being able to care for her. Now my mind is at rest, she is so happy, got new friends and the staff are so good. The room is beautiful she has her hair done every

My mother moved into Chandler Court at the end of January 2022. The staff have been brilliant from the start, showing great consideration for Mum, being kind and responsive and making sure she is comfortable. As her daughter, I have been well supported with all the information I need, and communication
from the care team has been excellent. One of the main reasons for choosing the home was the very good information on the website about diet and nutrition as my mum needs a gluten-free and dairy-free diet. The staff have taken this very seriously, and the chef has gone above and beyond to research recipes and prepare individual meals. Mum has a bespoke menu with lots of interest, which has encouraged her to eat more and put on weight after years of being underweight. Thank you to all the staff on the suite, reception and marketing departments - fantastic experience!

My grandad moved into Chandler Court Care Home permanently around eighteen months ago and was made to feel welcome from day one. It is clear the staff genuinely care about the residents - the entire team has been friendly and amazingly supportive with both my grandad and with visiting family members.
The complex itself is fantastic, really modern with lots of space and things to do which was ideal for my grandad who suffered with dementia. Knowing he was in a safe, secure and friendly environment gave us complete peace of mind. Thank you to the staff at Chandler Court for making my grandad's last months both comfortable and enjoyable.

The staff are amazing. My dad went in for two weeks respite in November and ended up staying so far for nine weeks, he is so happy. Got my old dad back, he even has a smile with a sparkle in his eyes I haven't seen in months. Everyone is brilliant and can't thank them enough. Hoping he can stay permanently

My mother has been in Chandler Court for almost 3 years now. It is a lovely modern, purpose-built complex. I have found the management team always helpful and reactive whenever my mother has had a problem. The issue is always dealt with quickly and efficiently. I continue to be very happy with my mother’s

I can’t thank everyone enough at Chandler for their help and support when we needed them for dad. Nothing was too much and there was always a friendly ear on the other end of the phone when we needed it. Dad started off with respite care and is now a resident, he is so happy here and it is all down
to the love and care he gets from all the wonderful staff here. Dads face lights up when he sees his carers which shows he has an amazing bond with them even after a short space of time. They have plenty of fun activities going on all the time and it’s great to see the pictures on Facebook. The last few months have been some of the hardest I’ve had to go through and I definitely wouldn’t have come out the other end without them.

My mother is a resident of Chandler Court and the relief my family feel knowing how well she is cared for. Staff are friendly and caring, we never feel they don’t know who we are talking about when we telephone to check how things are going. Lots of updates on Facebook which is great for all family

My mother has been a resident on the nursing floor at Chandler Court now for almost three years and the care given from day one has been amazing. All staff are very professional, caring and knowledgeable about my mom's needs, mom is non-verbal and all staff are able to communicate with her in various
ways to understand her.
The last 14 months have been very challenging for everyone, but my family and I are so grateful and blessed knowing our dear mom has been cared for to the highest of standards even though times have been very traumatic and challenging, and they have become mom's adopted family. We always get regular updates from the nursing team, carers and activities team, for which we are very grateful during these restricted visiting times. Throughout the whole experience, all staff members have gone above and beyond in safeguarding the residents and equally, family members visiting their loved ones, whether it be a garden visit, pod visit or recently, room visits.

Chandler Court Nursing/Care Home, when and if needed, is the best.
More like a hotel atmosphere, staff and residents alike are very friendly, from the moment you step into Reception.
Clean, caring, nursing is second to none. Staff at whatever level, really go the extra mile, and are treated with
the respect they so deserve by all management, colleagues, residents and visitors alike.
Residents and their loved ones can rest assured by the nursing, care and individuality by all and to all concerned.
We have recommended before to friends, who also have loved ones there now.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

I have over 10 years of experience in management positions in the care industry, and before Chandler Court, I worked as a Home Manager in a 56-bed service.


Care UK has an excellent reputation nationwide. Their values of caring, passion and teamwork are particularly important to me.


As a home manager, I believe it’s important to be positive, approachable, knowledgeable and passionate about exceptional care. I lead by positive example and do my best to ensure residents in our care are safe and happy every day.


I love the unpredictability of this role – no two days are ever the same. Interacting with the team and lovely residents and seeing them enjoy themselves makes me feel privileged to work at Chandler Court.


I’m proud to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Managing a care home comes with many challenges, but the reward of knowing you have played a part in achieving a better quality of life for people is priceless.


Outside of work, I’ve been a resident choreographer and performer for a charitable theatre group for almost 30 years. I perform in productions twice a year raising money for local charities. You might also see me attempting a challenge or two, from 26-mile hikes to 100 squats a day, to raise awareness and funding for vital charities.
