Chandler Court is a purpose-built care home providing a full range of quality, person-centred care for older people. Care services range from residential and nursing care to dementia and compassionate end of life care.

Everything about the home is designed to enable residents to enjoy the very best lifestyle. The home has a café, hair salon and cinema, and a wide range of tailored group and one-to-one activities are planned each week. Residents are supported to continue visiting friends and clubs in the community.

Each bedroom at Chandler Court has its own en-suite wet room, TV and 24-hour nurse call system. The chef-led catering team prides itself on creating delicious dishes tailored to residents’ tastes.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Mum has been at Chandler Court for 8 months now and has settled extremely well. She suffers from dementia and we were worried that she wouldn't adapt to a new environment or to being with people she didn't know. The staff handled her transition with care, empathy and skill, such that she is completely
settled. The home is modern, bright and spacious, but it's the care of the staff that makes this such a great place for Mum. Her physical and mental well-being have both improved. She is happy and content - it's lovely to see.
Their investment in the "pod" has enabled face to face visits to continue. The work of the lifestyle team in organising activities and weekly video calls means that she has remained engaged with other residents and has enabled my siblings and I to stay connected to Mum. The manager of the home communicates well and organises periodic calls with residents' relatives, to keep us all appraised of developments too.
I have no hesitation in recommending the home.

My mum moved in just after the home opened. She loves it here even though the last year has been tough for all. Recently she has deteriorated a bit and the staff could not be doing more to rally her around. They encourage, support and care for Mum amazingly. Always coming up with new ideas, things for
her to do and just generally keeping her company when she was agitated. I'm so pleased she came to Chandler Court, I had a relative in a different home and the difference in care level and support is incredible. Choose this one every time

My mother was a resident at Chandler Court for almost 3 years. From the outset all staff I encountered were wonderful and could not do enough to help. All aspects of her care were excellent. It was extremely comforting over the last 12 months to know that she was cared for with genuine compassion and

My uncle has been at Chandler Court for a year now. He has received excellent care and is very happy living there. The staff always call me whenever there is a concern, regarding his health. It has been possible to visit him during the coronavirus epidemic since the home created a visiting pod.

My mother became a full-time resident of Chandler Court in December 2020, she’d stayed there on 4 previous occasions for respite care, so it wasn’t as daunting as it could have been as she already knew the staff and what to expect.
The building is very modern and her room and communal areas are always
kept very clean.
The staff are very hardworking and attentive and they made the move very easy for us.
I have no problem recommending Chandler Court.

Our dad became a resident at Chandler Court in late March 2020 just as the first Covid-19 'lockdown' started. He was made so welcome by all of the staff and other residents and after the required 2 week quarantine period participated fully in all of the activities provided by care staff. He spoke very
highly of the super quality of the food and the general atmosphere of the care home.
My brother and I visited him once the situation improved and were always made very welcome by staff and met Dad in Covid-19 'safe' conditions.
Sadly, after Christmas his health deteriorated and he became very frail before passing away peacefully in his sleep a week ago. The carers were superb in keeping us updated as to his condition and were thoughtful and caring and updated us regularly as he became weaker. We have the utmost praise for everyone at Chandler Court for their care and compassion. Thank you.

Chandler Court cared for my mother extremely well. Nursing care was also excellent as she was in bed and needed 2 hourly turns. The staff were always very kind and courteous to us all. I was given support at the end of mum's life - especially as this was in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic - and
afterwards. We could not have asked for more for our very special mum and I would not hesitate to recommend Chandler Court to anyone.

At this time, one of the most challenging times in the history of care home provision, I have found exemplary care in Chandler Court! The standard of carers working at the home is exceptional, their commitment to the residents and support of each other is very apparent. Sadly my father died due to Covid-19
but his death was supported by highly skilled staff and has enabled me to feel much better about the whole experience.

My mother needed respite care when she left hospital in June. From the moment I walked through the door to look/arrange, I knew this was the perfect place for her. Outstanding in all areas, staff are friendly, polite and completely dedicated to the care and wellbeing of the residents. The home is spotlessly
clean and the food is excellent with various choices all home-cooked.
Mum absolutely loved it there that much she went back again in July! I can also rest assured knowing she is happy and well cared for.
The management and staff work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect, they are a credit to Chandler Court.

My mum stayed at Chandler Court from August 2018 to March 2019 and the level of care she received was absolutely excellent.
The care the staff showed towards my mum was always of the highest level and she considered many of the staff as close friends. There was a high level of professionalism from
staff in all areas and also, a personable friendliness which helped my mum feel at home.
The quality of the food was particularly good. As a visiting family member, I alway's felt welcomed and could clearly see the excellent care my mum was receiving.

What a fantastic home. Nothing is too much for any resident. The staff are so well trained and treat every resident with dignity and respect. My dad has never been so settled when going for respite as he was with Chandler Court. For two weeks they have cared for my dad's every need even getting to know
him so well and involving him in activities, which he has never done before. It was lovely to visit him, he always had a smile on his face and was telling me how full he was after the excellent meals.
Dad said how lovely all the staff were and what a lovely place it is. From the initial phone enquiry every staff member has been so helpful, kind and professional so thank you.

As a new resident, I can only say how happy I am with Chandler Court. I have had so much care and love showered on me. I feel safe and well cared for everyone is very friendly. I enjoy the meals and entertainment. The children from the local nursery light up my life on their visits.
It's been a busy
month with easter egg hunts, decorating baskets and being busy. I am looking forward to the rest of my life here in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Overall my impressions are very positive. The standard and quality of care are extremely high throughout. The facilities are excellent.
All the staff are open, friendly and attentive being extremely professional in both attitude and appearance.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

I have over 10 years of experience in management positions in the care industry, and before Chandler Court, I worked as a Home Manager in a 56-bed service.


Care UK has an excellent reputation nationwide. Their values of caring, passion and teamwork are particularly important to me.


As a home manager, I believe it’s important to be positive, approachable, knowledgeable and passionate about exceptional care. I lead by positive example and do my best to ensure residents in our care are safe and happy every day.


I love the unpredictability of this role – no two days are ever the same. Interacting with the team and lovely residents and seeing them enjoy themselves makes me feel privileged to work at Chandler Court.


I’m proud to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Managing a care home comes with many challenges, but the reward of knowing you have played a part in achieving a better quality of life for people is priceless.


Outside of work, I’ve been a resident choreographer and performer for a charitable theatre group for almost 30 years. I perform in productions twice a year raising money for local charities. You might also see me attempting a challenge or two, from 26-mile hikes to 100 squats a day, to raise awareness and funding for vital charities.
