My mother moved into Chandler Court at the end of January 2022. The staff have been brilliant from the start, showing great consideration for Mum, being kind and responsive and making sure she is comfortable. As her daughter, I have been well supported with all the information I need, and communication
from the care team has been excellent. One of the main reasons for choosing the home was the very good information on the website about diet and nutrition as my mum needs a gluten-free and dairy-free diet. The staff have taken this very seriously, and the chef has gone above and beyond to research recipes and prepare individual meals. Mum has a bespoke menu with lots of interest, which has encouraged her to eat more and put on weight after years of being underweight. Thank you to all the staff on the suite, reception and marketing departments - fantastic experience!

My grandad moved into Chandler Court Care Home permanently around eighteen months ago and was made to feel welcome from day one. It is clear the staff genuinely care about the residents - the entire team has been friendly and amazingly supportive with both my grandad and with visiting family members.
The complex itself is fantastic, really modern with lots of space and things to do which was ideal for my grandad who suffered with dementia. Knowing he was in a safe, secure and friendly environment gave us complete peace of mind. Thank you to the staff at Chandler Court for making my grandad's last months both comfortable and enjoyable.

The staff are amazing. My dad went in for two weeks respite in November and ended up staying so far for nine weeks, he is so happy. Got my old dad back, he even has a smile with a sparkle in his eyes I haven't seen in months. Everyone is brilliant and can't thank them enough. Hoping he can stay permanently
as he is so settled and happy here.

My mother has been in Chandler Court for almost 3 years now. It is a lovely modern, purpose-built complex. I have found the management team always helpful and reactive whenever my mother has had a problem. The issue is always dealt with quickly and efficiently. I continue to be very happy with my mother’s
care, despite the current pandemic. The lifestyle team has improved activities greatly recently too.

All of the team at Chandler Court Care Home are friendly and caring. They made our mum feel safe and comfortable, and her room was bright and modern. Everyone was very kind during Mum's final days, especially right at the end, and we were very grateful for their kindness to us.

I can’t thank everyone enough at Chandler for their help and support when we needed them for dad. Nothing was too much and there was always a friendly ear on the other end of the phone when we needed it. Dad started off with respite care and is now a resident, he is so happy here and it is all down
to the love and care he gets from all the wonderful staff here. Dads face lights up when he sees his carers which shows he has an amazing bond with them even after a short space of time. They have plenty of fun activities going on all the time and it’s great to see the pictures on Facebook. The last few months have been some of the hardest I’ve had to go through and I definitely wouldn’t have come out the other end without them.

My mother has been a resident on the nursing floor at Chandler Court now for almost three years and the care given from day one has been amazing. All staff are very professional, caring and knowledgeable about my mom's needs, mom is non-verbal and all staff are able to communicate with her in various
ways to understand her.
The last 14 months have been very challenging for everyone, but my family and I are so grateful and blessed knowing our dear mom has been cared for to the highest of standards even though times have been very traumatic and challenging, and they have become mom's adopted family. We always get regular updates from the nursing team, carers and activities team, for which we are very grateful during these restricted visiting times. Throughout the whole experience, all staff members have gone above and beyond in safeguarding the residents and equally, family members visiting their loved ones, whether it be a garden visit, pod visit or recently, room visits.

Chandler Court Nursing/Care Home, when and if needed, is the best.
More like a hotel atmosphere, staff and residents alike are very friendly, from the moment you step into Reception.
Clean, caring, nursing is second to none. Staff at whatever level, really go the extra mile, and are treated with
the respect they so deserve by all management, colleagues, residents and visitors alike.
Residents and their loved ones can rest assured by the nursing, care and individuality by all and to all concerned.
We have recommended before to friends, who also have loved ones there now.

Mum has been at Chandler Court for 8 months now and has settled extremely well. She suffers from dementia and we were worried that she wouldn't adapt to a new environment or to being with people she didn't know. The staff handled her transition with care, empathy and skill, such that she is completely
settled. The home is modern, bright and spacious, but it's the care of the staff that makes this such a great place for Mum. Her physical and mental well-being have both improved. She is happy and content - it's lovely to see.
Their investment in the "pod" has enabled face to face visits to continue. The work of the lifestyle team in organising activities and weekly video calls means that she has remained engaged with other residents and has enabled my siblings and I to stay connected to Mum. The manager of the home communicates well and organises periodic calls with residents' relatives, to keep us all appraised of developments too.
I have no hesitation in recommending the home.

My mum moved in just after the home opened. She loves it here even though the last year has been tough for all. Recently she has deteriorated a bit and the staff could not be doing more to rally her around. They encourage, support and care for Mum amazingly. Always coming up with new ideas, things for
her to do and just generally keeping her company when she was agitated. I'm so pleased she came to Chandler Court, I had a relative in a different home and the difference in care level and support is incredible. Choose this one every time

My mother was a resident at Chandler Court for almost 3 years. From the outset all staff I encountered were wonderful and could not do enough to help. All aspects of her care were excellent. It was extremely comforting over the last 12 months to know that she was cared for with genuine compassion and
respect.
I cannot recommend the home and the staff highly enough.

My mother became a full-time resident of Chandler Court in December 2020, she’d stayed there on 4 previous occasions for respite care, so it wasn’t as daunting as it could have been as she already knew the staff and what to expect.
The building is very modern and her room and communal areas are always
kept very clean.
The staff are very hardworking and attentive and they made the move very easy for us.
I have no problem recommending Chandler Court.

Our dad became a resident at Chandler Court in late March 2020 just as the first Covid-19 'lockdown' started. He was made so welcome by all of the staff and other residents and after the required 2 week quarantine period participated fully in all of the activities provided by care staff. He spoke very
highly of the super quality of the food and the general atmosphere of the care home.
My brother and I visited him once the situation improved and were always made very welcome by staff and met Dad in Covid-19 'safe' conditions.
Sadly, after Christmas his health deteriorated and he became very frail before passing away peacefully in his sleep a week ago. The carers were superb in keeping us updated as to his condition and were thoughtful and caring and updated us regularly as he became weaker. We have the utmost praise for everyone at Chandler Court for their care and compassion. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident on Sanders Suite at Chandler Court since February 2020. Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.793)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.793) out of 10 for Chandler Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.793 for Chandler Court is calculated as follows: ( (378 Excellents x 5) + (56 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 449 Ratings = 4.793
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chandler Court is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
