Chandler Court cared for my mother extremely well. Nursing care was also excellent as she was in bed and needed 2 hourly turns. The staff were always very kind and courteous to us all. I was given support at the end of mum's life - especially as this was in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic - and
afterwards. We could not have asked for more for our very special mum and I would not hesitate to recommend Chandler Court to anyone.

My Dad was on Buckingham Suite and was looked after by truly dedicated and compassionate staff who were not just carers and nurses, but people who really cared. During the difficult lockdown period, this helped give the family peace of mind. The care given to Dad in his later days was exceptional and
the support given to his family much appreciated at such a sad time.

At this time, one of the most challenging times in the history of care home provision, I have found exemplary care in Chandler Court! The standard of carers working at the home is exceptional, their commitment to the residents and support of each other is very apparent. Sadly my father died due to Covid-19
but his death was supported by highly skilled staff and has enabled me to feel much better about the whole experience.

Having never been in hospital in my 86 years to come out needing 6 weeks respite I could not have asked for a better care home to stay. Everything about the home, the care, the staff, the surrounding was just what I needed. I can thoroughly recommend Chandler Court.

My mother needed respite care when she left hospital in June. From the moment I walked through the door to look/arrange, I knew this was the perfect place for her. Outstanding in all areas, staff are friendly, polite and completely dedicated to the care and wellbeing of the residents. The home is spotlessly
clean and the food is excellent with various choices all home-cooked.
Mum absolutely loved it there that much she went back again in July! I can also rest assured knowing she is happy and well cared for.
The management and staff work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect, they are a credit to Chandler Court.

It is a difficult job they all do and is very much appreciated, as they all attend to their duties with dignity for residents and great

My mum stayed at Chandler Court from August 2018 to March 2019 and the level of care she received was absolutely excellent.
The care the staff showed towards my mum was always of the highest level and she considered many of the staff as close friends. There was a high level of professionalism from
staff in all areas and also, a personable friendliness which helped my mum feel at home.
The quality of the food was particularly good. As a visiting family member, I alway's felt welcomed and could clearly see the excellent care my mum was receiving.

What a fantastic home. Nothing is too much for any resident. The staff are so well trained and treat every resident with dignity and respect. My dad has never been so settled when going for respite as he was with Chandler Court. For two weeks they have cared for my dad's every need even getting to know
him so well and involving him in activities, which he has never done before. It was lovely to visit him, he always had a smile on his face and was telling me how full he was after the excellent meals.
Dad said how lovely all the staff were and what a lovely place it is. From the initial phone enquiry every staff member has been so helpful, kind and professional so thank you.

As a new resident, I can only say how happy I am with Chandler Court. I have had so much care and love showered on me. I feel safe and well cared for everyone is very friendly. I enjoy the meals and entertainment. The children from the local nursery light up my life on their visits.
It's been a busy
month with easter egg hunts, decorating baskets and being busy. I am looking forward to the rest of my life here in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Overall my impressions are very positive. The standard and quality of care are extremely high throughout. The facilities are excellent.
All the staff are open, friendly and attentive being extremely professional in both attitude and appearance.
Minor observations - some small improvements could be
made in the following areas;
Assisting residents with oral hygiene needs.
Assisting with general appearance, e.g. hair washing and brushing.

Mum came for 2 weeks respite care after a stay in hospital and it was a really positive experience for her, and us. She felt really looked after and for the rest of the family that was important and also some respite for us. We didn't think to mention at the initial assessment that Mum needed bed rails
but this was soon sorted. Maybe an extra question needs to be added to the assessment.

There are insufficient words to express how grateful I am for the care given to my mother since she was transferred here last July. The staff are caring and always helpful in maintaining dignity and always smiling. The food is excellent and always appropriate. My mother looks so much happier and has
gained weight. The activities provided are completely appropriate to my mother's condition and are amazing and overall the care is fantastic. A big thank you, to you all for your continued care.

After my fortnight's residential break at Chandler Court I am now planning a long-term stay there - this providing health and wherewithal permits. I can't begin to tell you how impressive my stay was, the whole experience was outstanding and the staff faultless in every way, however, one word deserves

My husband has been a resident at Chandler Court for over two months. As a family, we cannot fault the standards of care and support that he has received. The patience and understanding that has been shown have helped the transition into full-time care tremendously in all areas.
The staff go out of
their way to treat residents with respect, maintaining their dignity and enhancing in many ways the feeling that Chandler Court is a real quality 'home from home'.

Salient points = very good tempered whatever time of day or night, caring in every way i.e. nursing and health matters and, when the time can be found, will listen and try to help with matters that are worrying you. Sometimes there is not enough time in a day's events for one, who is 91 years old, to
really relax.

It was a very emotional time for Mum's family to have to make the decision of moving Mum to a nursing home. With the help of all management and staff, the family, but most of all, her daughters have for the first time in 6 years been able to relax a little knowing Mum is in safe hands 24/7. The management
team recognised the fact her daughters were struggling. They were very supportive, understanding and caring. Every person at Chandler Court has been so accommodating towards Mum (nothing is too much for any member of staff), who go out of their way to make themselves known. This is very important, as Mum suffers with dementia and her speech is very poor. With their constant care and understanding, Mum is beginning to show signs of settling in.

Wonderful care and facilities. Staff were professional and kind. The whole stay was of great benefit to both the resident and his family. The resident, father-in-law, was built up to a good level of health and has been able to return home and live independently. He was full of praise for the staff and
care he received.

As a family, we have found Chandler Court exceptional in all aspects of handling the care of our Mum with dementia. We find great comfort in knowing that she is being so well cared for and seems to be so happy in her new environment. The care staff are friendly, welcoming and supportive. The activities
they organise help to stimulate Mum without pressure to participate. A fantastic start for a new home establishing itself.

First class. Friendly staff, always happy to help. My one and only negative is the provision of mobility scooters should be made.
Reply from Amy Wilson, AD at Chandler CourtWe appreciate your positive review of Chandler Court and are delighted to hear that you think we offer a first class service, excellent care and friendly staff. Like other care home providers it is not a requirement to provide mobility scooters, however, we do have our own minibus that is utilised frequently which residents thoroughly enjoy.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.793)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.793) out of 10 for Chandler Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.793 for Chandler Court is calculated as follows: ( (378 Excellents x 5) + (56 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 449 Ratings = 4.793
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chandler Court is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
