Chandler Court is a purpose-built care home providing a full range of quality, person-centred care for older people. Care services range from residential and nursing care to dementia and compassionate end of life care.

Everything about the home is designed to enable residents to enjoy the very best lifestyle. The home has a café, hair salon and cinema, and a wide range of tailored group and one-to-one activities are planned each week. Residents are supported to continue visiting friends and clubs in the community.

Each bedroom at Chandler Court has its own en-suite wet room, TV and 24-hour nurse call system. The chef-led catering team prides itself on creating delicious dishes tailored to residents’ tastes.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Mum came for 2 weeks respite care after a stay in hospital and it was a really positive experience for her, and us. She felt really looked after and for the rest of the family that was important and also some respite for us. We didn't think to mention at the initial assessment that Mum needed bed rails
but this was soon sorted. Maybe an extra question needs to be added to the assessment.

There are insufficient words to express how grateful I am for the care given to my mother since she was transferred here last July. The staff are caring and always helpful in maintaining dignity and always smiling. The food is excellent and always appropriate. My mother looks so much happier and has
gained weight. The activities provided are completely appropriate to my mother's condition and are amazing and overall the care is fantastic. A big thank you, to you all for your continued care.

After my fortnight's residential break at Chandler Court I am now planning a long-term stay there - this providing health and wherewithal permits. I can't begin to tell you how impressive my stay was, the whole experience was outstanding and the staff faultless in every way, however, one word deserves

My husband has been a resident at Chandler Court for over two months. As a family, we cannot fault the standards of care and support that he has received. The patience and understanding that has been shown have helped the transition into full-time care tremendously in all areas.
The staff go out of
their way to treat residents with respect, maintaining their dignity and enhancing in many ways the feeling that Chandler Court is a real quality 'home from home'.

Salient points = very good tempered whatever time of day or night, caring in every way i.e. nursing and health matters and, when the time can be found, will listen and try to help with matters that are worrying you. Sometimes there is not enough time in a day's events for one, who is 91 years old, to

It was a very emotional time for Mum's family to have to make the decision of moving Mum to a nursing home. With the help of all management and staff, the family, but most of all, her daughters have for the first time in 6 years been able to relax a little knowing Mum is in safe hands 24/7. The management
team recognised the fact her daughters were struggling. They were very supportive, understanding and caring. Every person at Chandler Court has been so accommodating towards Mum (nothing is too much for any member of staff), who go out of their way to make themselves known. This is very important, as Mum suffers with dementia and her speech is very poor. With their constant care and understanding, Mum is beginning to show signs of settling in.

Wonderful care and facilities. Staff were professional and kind. The whole stay was of great benefit to both the resident and his family. From the initial enquiry to admission, everyone has been very informative, friendly and patient. Really pleased with the way Dad has settled. Everyone helping him become accustomed with all the facilities. Lovely to be able to visit at any time and be kept up to date with all Dad's progress and needs.

As a family, we have found Chandler Court exceptional in all aspects of handling the care of our Mum with dementia. We find great comfort in knowing that she is being so well cared for and seems to be so happy in her new environment. The care staff are friendly, welcoming and supportive. The activities
they organise help to stimulate Mum without pressure to participate. A fantastic start for a new home establishing itself.

My mother was a respite resident following a small operation.
Throughout her 2 week stay, the staff were very attentive to her which was much appreciated by myself and 2 sisters.
The many varied activities also helped make my mother's stay for "easier" than we had imagined it would be.

The staff were very welcoming on arrival. They took care to make my husband feel
comfortable. He settled in very quickly and was involved in activities straight away. He made a birthday card for our son, did some gardening and a spot of DIY. He was happy chatting to the staff and residents and doing
a quiz. He was encouraged to help in the kitchen and loved singing and listening to music. He enjoyed playing chess and doing jigsaws. He enjoyed a full English breakfast every day and a glass of red wine with dinner. He will miss all the activities when at home.

The care that is given to the residents is second to none. They are always on hand and nothing is too much trouble. The home is always clean and tidy. Staff always contact you if there is a problem with your family member. The staff treat the residents as if they are their own family.

Excellent facilities. All staff superb. It's a joy to walk in and have such a warm welcome from all, whether it be reception, catering or nurses etc. The home has a very good 'vibe' and my father is extremely happy and settled and safe. I think Chandler Court sets the bar for other establishments.

My father has recently moved into the home following an acute illness and hospital admission. Prior to this, he had lived alone supported by myself. Moving to a care home could have been a very traumatic negative experience both for dad and myself. However due to all the staff's attitude, beautiful
home and facilities provided, my dad feels safe, secure and settling well. Nothing is too much trouble and the home is a great representative of care UK organisation.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

I have over 10 years of experience in management positions in the care industry, and before Chandler Court, I worked as a Home Manager in a 56-bed service.


Care UK has an excellent reputation nationwide. Their values of caring, passion and teamwork are particularly important to me.


As a home manager, I believe it’s important to be positive, approachable, knowledgeable and passionate about exceptional care. I lead by positive example and do my best to ensure residents in our care are safe and happy every day.


I love the unpredictability of this role – no two days are ever the same. Interacting with the team and lovely residents and seeing them enjoy themselves makes me feel privileged to work at Chandler Court.


I’m proud to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Managing a care home comes with many challenges, but the reward of knowing you have played a part in achieving a better quality of life for people is priceless.


Outside of work, I’ve been a resident choreographer and performer for a charitable theatre group for almost 30 years. I perform in productions twice a year raising money for local charities. You might also see me attempting a challenge or two, from 26-mile hikes to 100 squats a day, to raise awareness and funding for vital charities.
