I was greeted on arrival by happy and welcoming staff, who gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. My room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden - bees, lawns, flowers, pigeons and a squirrel to watch. All the staff were extremely tired and caring as well as very patient. I had a chest infection while staying there but it soon cleared with antibiotics and then I was able to join in with the many activities. I give them all top marks! Well done!

The atmosphere in Brockington is warm, caring, calm, and thoughtful. The staff are unfailingly friendly and smiling. It makes me very happy knowing that my father is being looked after so well in such a great place by such a wonderful team.

My mother has been living at Brockington Care community for over 3 years. During this time, she has been well looked after and cared for by the staff. All staff are friendly and supportive. My mother lives with memory problems and the staff are extremely kind and do their best to encourage her to participate in the many activities on offer such as music, scrabble, keeping fit and outings.

I always find my sister well cared for. Her room is tidy and my wife always remarks on the cleanliness and crispness of the bed linen. Taking a peek at the menu, there is a good choice and on the occasions we have arrived at lunchtime it smells appetising.

During January I attended a birthday lunch at Brockington House for my friend who lives there. The private room set aside for these functions was beautifully presented. The food and table service were as of the quality in a first-class hotel.

The care is faultless and more than meets the changing needs of my friend.

My aunt of 92 years has been a resident of Brockington House since Sept 2023. She needs full nursing care assistance and has slight short-term memory issues.
The care my aunt receives at Brockington is truly outstanding. The continuity of professionalism runs right across every sector. The setting is beautiful, the premises immaculate and the choice of food excellent and of a high standard. Rooms are spacious with ensuite, ample wall space and inset shelves for displaying personal items. My aunt loves the state-of-the-art bed! Sadly, she is often confined to bed, but this is medically designed to ease her pain as much as possible.

A special thanks to all the staff at Brockington; maintenance, gardening, kitchen, hospitality, housekeeping, management and, of course, the nursing staff, who care for my aunt with such skill, compassion and kindness. From my aunt and us as a family - thank you.

I was feeding my husband, in his room, poached egg on toast. He had Parkinson's and Parkinson's related Dementia. Suddenly, he started choking. I went into the dining room, where the staff were serving dinner. They came immediately and attempted to dislodge whatever was blocking his airway. He was starting to convulse, and it was very frightening to watch. The staff were very calm, professional and reassuring and eventually succeeded in dislodging the obstruction. I was very impressed with the way they dealt with the situation.

My mother's mental health and faculties were going downhill quite quickly, and she was becoming unhappy and critical of everything and everybody. Since moving to this home, she has become content and appreciative. They stimulate and care for her better than I could have imagined. Her dementia is slowly taking hold but she is happy for the first time in many years.

Mum has been a resident at Brockington House since April this year. She became unable to manage at home, falling frequently and generally becoming more frail, she is 92 years of age. I cannot fault the care she is receiving in any way. All the staff are marvellous, very pleasant, friendly, caring and professional. The facilities available are numerous and well-run. Most importantly, the home director's office door is always open and she is very approachable and willing to discuss any queries. The overall standard is first class and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My mum attended Brockington House Care Home twice, initially for respite in February 2017 then again in July and August 2023, on both occasions, the staff were highly professional, empathic and friendly. They were also very supportive and responsive to requests. In addition to providing care for my mum and ensuring that she was comfortable, she was consistently treated with dignity. On behalf of myself and my family, I want to sincerely thank all staff at Brockington House, you do a fantastic job!

My mother, who has fairly advanced Alzheimer's, has been at Brockington House for about four months so far. Since she has arrived she seems much happier, looks much better and has a much better appetite. The staff are unfailingly kind and patient and do the most amazing job. My mother is beautifully looked after and they really do seem to understand her condition. They have taken a huge weight off my shoulders and I can just now enjoy her company in the lovely surroundings at Brockington.

Five stars all-round. My friend came here and from day one, has received perfect care and genuine warmth from every one of the staff. Facebook communication is very reassuring - lovely to see the residents having fun but structured to help with mobility and brain function, variety of activities is wonderful! Food is top-notch and always served with a smile. My friend is safe, well cared for and happy. There is not much more to ask for. As I said, five stars all-round. Well run by competent, professional care manager. Standards set and more than met!

Since moving my mother to Brockington House Care Home in November 2021, the family have been very pleased with the level of care and commitment afforded to my mother. During her final days, she was treated with great dignity and we were supported by the staff during Mother's final hours. The level of care provided and the professionalism of all the staff, in our experience, is second to none and we cannot thank them enough.

My parents have both been residents in Brockington House since October 2020. My mother has dementia, but my father was able to visit her from the residential ward every day. This was one of the key considerations when considering nursing homes for my parents. The quality and professionalism of the staff has always been first-rate, as we have the facilities. On 13th April my father fell and broke his hip. Unfortunately, he declined quite quickly in hospital, but Brockington House was able to provide palliative care and he spent his last days in his own room, looked after by people he knew. We will always be grateful for that.

I would like to express my gratitude for the compassionate care and attention that staff gave my mother, especially in the last closing days of her life. I really appreciated being left to sit with my mum just after she had passed, in the quiet and in a peaceful solitude. I loved that the staff had placed a posy of flowers on her chest. I also thank the staff for the compassion they showed me. I appreciated the level of communication from them, keeping me well informed.

Mum moved to Brockington House from hospital and the difference in her wellbeing has been immeasurable. The staff make it as homely as possible and, from hosts to carers to nurses/managers, all have been wonderful. Brockington has such a calm, relaxed feel to it but their professionalism really shines through and they are so 'on the ball' with Mum's health/wellbeing. We couldn't ask for more - thank you!

I visit a friend every afternoon and find all aspects are satisfactory. She is in the secure section.

The two ladies who run the entertainment programme are creative and find ways of involving and stimulating residents and try to get them involved (if they wish).

My mother moved to Brockington House from another home nearby, seeking a better standard of care. We are delighted; Brockington House is amazing. Staffed by cheerful, motivated staff, my mother's health/mobility issues have been professionally and sympathetically handled. Staff levels are high and the place hums with activity, day and night. They're proactive too, spotting that my mother needs a bigger wheelchair. My mother's room is spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with new high-quality aids. Arguably it could have a better view out but another room might become available. The whole building resembles a good hotel. The management is approachable, good listeners and unfailingly helpful. One is always greeted when visiting and they always remember you. One enters via a cafe area (free drinks) and a permanently occupied reception desk. Management offices are adjacent. Finally, Mother is delighted with the meals, often served by young men with waiters' outfits!

My brother was a resident at Brockington House for approximately 18 months, where he was expertly cared for. He was not inclined to take part in social gatherings - it meant getting into his wheelchair which he did not enjoy - there was little to achieve in his room. He did not enjoy eating average meals - restaurant presentation was not available so he lost weight. His care of personal cleanliness and comfort was excellent. Sadly his immobility coincided with the lockdown.
