Opened in August 2019, the homes offer a range of outstanding facilities, from a coffee shop, bar, gym, therapy room, cinema, beauty salon, and various lounges and dining rooms.

My parents have both been residents in Brockington House since October 2020. My mother has dementia, but my father was able to visit her from the residential ward every day. This was one of the key considerations when considering nursing homes for my parents. The quality and professionalism of the staff
has always been first-rate, as we have the facilities. On 13th April my father fell and broke his hip. Unfortunately, he declined quite quickly in hospital, but Brockington House was able to provide palliative care and he spent his last days in his own room, looked after by people he knew. We will always be grateful for that.

I would like to express my gratitude for the compassionate care and attention that staff gave my mother, especially in the last closing days of her life. I really appreciated being left to sit with my mum just after she had passed, in the quiet and in a peaceful solitude. I loved that the staff had
placed a posy of flowers on her chest. I also thank the staff for the compassion they showed me. I appreciated the level of communication from them, keeping me well informed.

Mum moved to Brockington House from hospital and the difference in her wellbeing has been immeasurable. The staff make it as homely as possible and, from hosts to carers to nurses/managers, all have been wonderful. Brockington has such a calm, relaxed feel to it but their professionalism really shines
through and they are so 'on the ball' with Mum's health/wellbeing. We couldn't ask for more - thank you!

I visit a friend every afternoon and find all aspects are satisfactory. She is in the secure section.
The two ladies who run the entertainment programme are creative and find ways of involving and stimulating residents and try to get them involved (if they wish).

My mother moved to Brockington House from another home nearby, seeking a better standard of care. We are delighted; Brockington House is amazing. Staffed by cheerful, motivated staff, my mother's health/mobility issues have been professionally and sympathetically handled. Staff levels are high and the
place hums with activity, day and night. They're proactive too, spotting that my mother needs a bigger wheelchair. My mother's room is spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with new high-quality aids. Arguably it could have a better view out but another room might become available. The whole building resembles a good hotel. The management is approachable, good listeners and unfailingly helpful. One is always greeted when visiting and they always remember you. One enters via a cafe area (free drinks) and a permanently occupied reception desk. Management offices are adjacent. Finally, Mother is delighted with the meals, often served by young men with waiters' outfits!

My brother was a resident at Brockington House for approximately 18 months, where he was expertly cared for. He was not inclined to take part in social gatherings - it meant getting into his wheelchair which he did not enjoy - there was little to achieve in his room. He did not enjoy eating average
meals - restaurant presentation was not available so he lost weight. His care of personal cleanliness and comfort was excellent. Sadly his immobility coincided with the lockdown.

My husband, who is suffering from motor neuron disease, spent two months at Brockington House. During his time there, he received excellent care from friendly and dedicated staff, who looked after him with compassion. The home itself is beautiful, well looked after, spotlessly clean, with many amenities.
The bedrooms are well-appointed, warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brockington House to anyone.

I have just completed my two weeks respite stay and I have to say that I have had a lovely time. All the staff are second to none - caring, friendly, always smiling and they cannot do enough to make your stay a lasting experience. I feel so much better, very well-rested and content. I'm not looking

My mother was at Brockington House from February 9th 2022, till her death on January 6th 2023. The care she received was wonderful. The carers are all amazing. If all care homes were like this, no family would have to worry about their loved one.

The home is modern and well-built, good decor and spacious. The management and carers are excellent, friendly and courteous. They receive ongoing training. The gardens are well-maintained and secure. There are social areas, lounges, dining rooms and a social area at the entrance which is returning to
normality following Covid restrictions.
It is a pleasure to visit my two friends who are residents here.

My mother became a resident at Brockington House during the spring of 2022. She was suffering from a number of health issues which restricted her mobility, but she was mentally very good. She took time to settle but with the exceptional care and attention given by all the staff, she appreciated their
help and support. As soon as you enter the building you are greeted by a smiling face. Morale is clearly high in this care home and all members of staff are eager to make each resident's day as enjoyable as possible.

I am so glad I chose to go to Brockington House for respite after a total hip replacement at the hospital. The care, at all levels, was excellent. The ambience and decor, made for a very uplifting experience and the menu too, helped me to regain my appetite. It was a great experience to convalesce in

My mum was a resident for only ten weeks as her round-the-clock care needs became apparent. The building is absolutely fabulous. Large, light and airy bedrooms and community areas. The staff are compassionate, supportive and caring. The food was excellent. Mum loved the hairdresser but was not well
enough to partake in many of the other activities evident. Highly recommended!

My mother is well cared for and has settled in well. There are always staff on hand to assist her. She was having regular falls at home and these have stopped. She is always pleased to see her carers, her face lights up when they speak to her. It is very reassuring to know how well she is being looked
after.

My 86-year-old mother was admitted for rehabilitation after falling and fracturing her hip.
She has been treated with respect and kindness. She was still in a lot of pain when she arrived and the staff had her analgesia altered quickly to help her mobilise. We have taken her out in the gardens several
times, which she loves. It appears all the staff, from cleaning, catering and nursing, nothing is too much trouble.

My mother has just returned from a month's respite care at Brockington House. In her own words she "could not fault anything at all" about the care she received. Whilst there she was treated with warmth and dignity. She has a chronic illness and the staff dealt with her medications and when she became
poorly rehabilitated her with outstanding care and compassion. It was lovely to know there were nursing staff on site 24/7. Brockington House is now mum's second home and she will hopefully return there many times more in her life.

Dad had a two-week trial stay. He has now booked in on a permanent basis, so what better recommendation. He enjoyed the social aspect. I felt very secure in knowing he was being well cared for.

Shann Thomas

Job Title: Home Director Joined: 2018

Shann originally qualified as both RMN and RGN and went on to join the Private Sector in 1992.


She then moved to live in Africa for 17 years and ran a successful business before returning to the UK in 2014 where she joined a leading care home provider as a Home Manager. Shann was delighted to receive a Divisional award for Outstanding Care and Quality during her time managing a successful nursing and dementia home in Shropshire.
