Opened in August 2019, the homes offer a range of outstanding facilities, from a coffee shop, bar, gym, therapy room, cinema, beauty salon, and various lounges and dining rooms.

All accommodation is furnished to a high standard with ensuite wet rooms and many rooms have patio doors on to beautifully landscaped gardens that are easily accessible and safe. There are also companion suites for couples to stay together.

Mum became a resident on her 82nd birthday in March 2020, a day after Covid-19 lockdown. Unable to be with Mum on this day was heartbreaking, however, the staff greeted her with a Birthday cake and a card which was such a warm and loving welcome for Mum. I cannot thank all of the wonderful staff at
Brockington House enough for all they did to keep Mum interacting, safe and comfortable, with loving care. Due to lockdown restrictions, we were unable to visit Mum during this extremely difficult time, and I have to especially thank the activity co-ordinators for being our lifeline to Mum via regular video calls and for which I will remain eternally grateful. Sadly Mum's stay was a short one, as she passed away with peace and dignity due to Dementia on the 7th of July. Choosing Brockington House was without any doubt the right choice.

My mother was one of the first residents to move into Brockington House when it opened in Aug '19. Since then her confidence and wellbeing has improved no end. Her twin sister also moved in during November '19. They have recently celebrated their 91st birthday with a scrumptious homemade cake and a
socially distanced singalong. A week ago the activities team organised a 'World Cruise' which was very well received. What a great team effort during these troubled times. Thank you for keeping our loved ones safe and well, all the staff deserve a gold medal for their care, dedication, compassion and professionalism.

Our brother was a resident for several months and passed away with you on 7th May this year. We visited regularly and were impressed with the way the staff treated him, always with dignity, kindness and with a sense of humour. His meals looked very appetising and he appeared to enjoy them. We were always
made very welcome and felt the whole place was welcoming and comfortable.

Thank you for all you did to make my aunt's last few weeks comfortable. Brockington House is a most wonderful care home. The surroundings, rooms, all facilities are second to none and I would highly recommend to anyone requiring a comfortable care home. The staff are wonderful and caring, nothing seemed

What a lovely place. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. Signed us in and helped us to coffee. We joined my brother-in-law and other family members. My brother-in-law was clearly very happy and at ease. His room was superb, lots of storage space and garden views. Restaurant
was beautiful. It was such a comfort to see our brother-in-law so comfortable and well looked after.

Brockington House care team looked after my father for 6 months until his death. He had advanced Parkinsons and needed round-the-clock care. The staff and facilities were absolutely superb. They not only cared for dad with genuine kindness they supported my mother and sisters and I through a very difficult
period. They were respectful professional and allowed the whole family peace and dignity at the end. We would not have wanted him to be anywhere else and send heartfelt thanks to the whole team.

My husband received excellent and respectful loving care at the end of his life. Also excellent is the emphasis on residents being able to live fulfilling lives in spite of limitations. There is always something interesting/stimulating for people to do or watch/listen to/visit. The activity organisers
are there every day attending to everyone's needs, even those who choose to remain in their room. There is a lot of love around.

Nothing is too much trouble for management and staff. Always ready to resolve problems or issues regarding my mother's stay. Gave my mother the confidence to return home with just that little bit of support required after a hospital stay and encouragement to walk after her broken hip.

I have just completed three weeks of care here. I can't describe the feeling I had when I walked through the doors on my arrival. I didn't expect to be greeted by such friendly caring people, all dressed alike. I would recommend and have done so and in the future, no doubt will return.

I found Brockington House to be very caring and welcoming. It is a beautiful care home for my mother, and she is happy.

A very well designed new care home. This care home provides an excellent standard of care. The coffee lounge is light and airy. The gardens provide opportunities for gentle exercise and sensory experiences. Within the home there are dedicated rooms for activities, a cinema, a bar, an exercise room and
a sensory room. All the rooms are ensuite and have good quality furniture and furnishings. My friend has settled well into the home and enjoys the view from her window onto the garden.

I have been in care homes in many parts of the country for over 20 years. In all of that time, I have never been in a better one. The facilities are outstanding 5 star. Every possible need of the residents are met whether it is clinical, care or leisure. However, it is the staff who really make the
difference all of them from the director down are brilliant. Always smiling and eager to go the extra mile and they do.

Everybody is so friendly and can't do enough for you. The staff are very helpful, caring and attentive. There is a very happy atmosphere here at Brockington. The food is excellent, varied and so enjoyable and it's hot which is a bonus. The activities are varied and so well organised and I have been
on trips to the cathedral, all thoroughly enjoyable. People comment on how well cared for I look and I do. I'm so happy in my new environment.

This is my first visit to a friend who has recently moved in. My wife and I are very impressed with what we have seen. We are not aware of all the experiences or facilities, suffice it to say that we are very happy that our friend is in safe hands and will be well cared for.

Shann Thomas

Job Title: Home Director Joined: 2018

Shann originally qualified as both RMN and RGN and went on to join the Private Sector in 1992.


She then moved to live in Africa for 17 years and ran a successful business before returning to the UK in 2014 where she joined a leading care home provider as a Home Manager. Shann was delighted to receive a Divisional award for Outstanding Care and Quality during her time managing a successful nursing and dementia home in Shropshire.
