Our mother moved into Brockington having suffered a series of falls and three breaks and fractures. Having had a period of isolation, Mum has settled into the environment and is being cared for in a caring and professional way. She seems to have struck up a rapport with the various carers and staff.
When Covid restrictions are eased we will have the perfect place for Mum to flourish and relax. We as a family would again like to thank all concerned in helping her back to reasonable health.

My mum spent the last seven months of her very long life in Brokington House and she was so incredibly happy there. The care was second to none. She was treated with such kindness and respect. The care my Nan received at Brockington was exceptional. She felt very happy and safe. We were particularly impressed with how kind and attentive all of the staff were, they kept us up informed with all of Nans care and they were extremely helpful. During Nans final days the home made it possible for
us to visit nan safely to spend some time and say goodbye. Every time I spoke to my Nan on the phone she was always in good spirits and commented on how kind everyone was. Thank you what an excellent standard of care you provide.

Mum became a resident on her 82nd birthday in March 2020, a day after Covid-19 lockdown. Unable to be with Mum on this day was heartbreaking, however, the staff greeted her with a Birthday cake and a card which was such a warm and loving welcome for Mum. I cannot thank all of the wonderful staff at
Brockington House enough for all they did to keep Mum interacting, safe and comfortable, with loving care. Due to lockdown restrictions, we were unable to visit Mum during this extremely difficult time, and I have to especially thank the activity co-ordinators for being our lifeline to Mum via regular video calls and for which I will remain eternally grateful. Sadly Mum's stay was a short one, as she passed away with peace and dignity due to Dementia on the 7th of July. Choosing Brockington House was without any doubt the right choice.

My mother was one of the first residents to move into Brockington House when it opened in Aug '19. Since then her confidence and wellbeing has improved no end. Her twin sister also moved in during November '19. They have recently celebrated their 91st birthday with a scrumptious homemade cake and a
socially distanced singalong. A week ago the activities team organised a 'World Cruise' which was very well received. What a great team effort during these troubled times. Thank you for keeping our loved ones safe and well, all the staff deserve a gold medal for their care, dedication, compassion and professionalism.

Our brother was a resident for several months and passed away with you on 7th May this year. We visited regularly and were impressed with the way the staff treated him, always with dignity, kindness and with a sense of humour. His meals looked very appetising and he appeared to enjoy them. What a lovely place. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. Signed us in and helped us to coffee. We joined my brother-in-law and other family members. My brother-in-law was clearly very happy and at ease. His room was superb, lots of storage space and garden views. Restaurant

Brockington House care team looked after my father for 6 months until his death. He had advanced Parkinsons and needed round-the-clock care. The staff and facilities were absolutely superb. They not only cared for dad with genuine kindness they supported my mother and sisters and I through a very difficult
period. They were respectful professional and allowed the whole family peace and dignity at the end. We would not have wanted him to be anywhere else and send heartfelt thanks to the whole team.

My husband received excellent and respectful loving care at the end of his life. Also excellent is the emphasis on residents being able to live fulfilling lives in spite of limitations. There is always something interesting/stimulating for people to do or watch/listen to/visit. The activity organisers

Nothing is too much trouble for management and staff. Always ready to resolve problems or issues regarding my mother's stay. Gave my mother the confidence to return home with just that little bit of support required after a hospital stay and encouragement to walk after her broken hip.

I have just completed three weeks of care here. I can't describe the feeling I had when I walked through the doors on my arrival. I didn't expect to be greeted by such friendly caring people, all dressed alike. I would recommend and have done so and in the future, no doubt will return.

Job Title: Home Director Joined: 2018

Shann originally qualified as both RMN and RGN and went on to join the Private Sector in 1992.


She then moved to live in Africa for 17 years and ran a successful business before returning to the UK in 2014 where she joined a leading care home provider as a Home Manager. Shann was delighted to receive a Divisional award for Outstanding Care and Quality during her time managing a successful nursing and dementia home in Shropshire.
