Mum moved into the Burlington just over 4 months ago. What a difference this has made to her overall quality of life. The standard of care is 2nd to none which has allowed mum to settle in at her own pace. We as a family are always made to feel welcome and it is great attending some of the many and
varied entertainment activities that are laid on. Staff at all levels are extremely engaging with all of the residents making for a calm and settled environment. Mum has thrived in her short time at the Burlington and I would be happy to recommend the Burlington to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one.
Reply from Margie Gonzaga, Home Manager at The BurlingtonThank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review. We're delighted to hear how positively your mum has settled in and that her quality of life has improved so noticeably. It's wonderful to know that the care, welcoming atmosphere, and activities have made such a difference for both her and your family. Your recommendation truly means a great deal to us.

We had a lovely time at Christmas and the run-up to christmas. I was so impressed with how all of the staff at the Burlington welcomed all visitors (family members) and how it made the experience of visiting my mother so comfortable. The entertainment during the Christmas and New Year holidays was of
a high standard and provided in very welcoming reception as well.

My mother moved to The Burlington in November 2025. The expert care and attention to detail during the planning stage and her first month living there have exceeded all our expectations. The admissions manager, home manager, reception staff, care plan manager and her care and activities staff are friendly,
professional and genuinely care about the residents and each other as colleagues. We are delighted with every aspect of Mum's experience and ours, as a family. First class.

Mum has been at The Burlington for 6 months now. Throughout that time the staff (all of them, whatever their role) have been caring, attentive, patient and above all welcoming, friendly and cheerful. The Burlington has an upbeat, positive feel and residents and their visitors are welcomed + made to
feel part of a big family. Any concerns, however minor, are taken seriously + solutions offered. It's a big relief to know mum is in such caring hands.
Reply from Margie Gonzaga, Home Manager at The BurlingtonThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. The Burlington is like no other care home I have seen. Our mum is actually thriving since she arrived at The Burlington five months ago. Visiting her now is a real pleasure. Myself and my sisters could not be happier with the love and attention she receives from every single member of staff at The Burlington.
Mum's needs are constantly assessed and re-assessed. She is encouraged to join in activities that she would never have been able to enjoy at home. The medical team are brilliant and our past worries and dashes to the chemist for her medication are thankfully a distant memory, now that she is in the hands of the team at Burlington. Mum is safe and happy and constantly being chatted to and cared for. How lucky are we to find The Burlington? I get the feeling that ALL visitors feel the same as we do.

My mother was a resident at The Burlington for nearly 4 years. My wife and I visited regularly at various times of day and always found the level of care and attentiveness to be extremely high. We also found every member of staff (including cleaners, maintenance etc) very welcoming, polite and helpful
towards us. We were impressed with the amount and variety of activities and celebrations that were organised. We highly recommend the Burlington.

My wife and I had meeting at The Burlington, it was a Sunday afternoon entering the reception / piano bar area, a group of residents were singing being led by a particular member of staff, instantly I knew it was the place, it was modern, immaculate, the atmosphere was perfect.
Fortunately a room
became available and with the help of the Admissions Manager the whole process was easy.
Dad moved in and his room was made homely, pictures, clocks on the wall, a shelf was built for his gramophone nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so caring and helpful.
Entertainment was an absolute joy, every member of staff always had a smile on their face, they all obviously enjoy working and caring for the residents it felt like a family,
Dad passed on the 1st March and right up until the end he was kept immaculately clean, hair washed, shaved, manicured etc, the bedding was always spotless.
I'm so happy and proud that he spent his last year in comfort and faultless attention, it is truly a special home.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.975)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.975) out of 10 for The Burlington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.975 for The Burlington is calculated as follows: ( (313 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 321 Ratings = 4.975
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Burlington is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 78 registered maximum number of service users is 15.6, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
