Mum has been a resident since July 2021. I can't fault the care and Mum has thrived here. All the staff are friendly, kind and always cheerful. If I have had any concerns or queries they have been addressed immediately. I highly recommend The Burlington.

The home organised a family birthday party for us to have with Mum in their family room. The room was laid out beautifully, the food and service were excellent and we were able to have such a happy time together with Mum. This is the first time since Covid we have been able to do this, so it was a very
special family occasion. Many thanks to The Burlington for helping this to happen!
Reply from Emma Dudhee, Home Manager at The BurlingtonThank you for leaving us this lovely review. It was a pleasure to host you all for your mum's birthday. I will pass this feedback on to the rest of the team who I'm sure will be delighted. Thank you again.

I can't speak more highly about the staff caring for my mum. She has dementia and they arranged for our family, including young children, to meet in a private room to celebrate her birthday. Sandwiches, tea, wine and soft drinks were provided and we were able to have some very special time with her.
Special thanks to two staff members, you are amazing.
Reply from Emma Dudhee, Home Manager at The BurlingtonThank you for leaving us this lovely review. Our entire family are overjoyed with The Burlington. It is always a pleasure visiting, the staff are all above and beyond. They always greet you with a broad smile and listen to any concerns we may have over my mother. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are all incredibly professional. It is
spotlessly clean and the food is imaginative and of an incredibly high standard.
Reply from Emma Dudhee, Home Manager at The BurlingtonOur ethos at Boutique Care Homes is to be a warm and loving family where everyone feels at home, so I am very pleased to hear that this has been your experience at The Burlington. We will pass this feedback on to the team who will no doubt be delighted.

My mother is very happy here. She looks healthy and is more talkative since coming to stay here. This is very reassuring as we live in America for the time being. We appreciate our weekly video calls and above all, we appreciate the wonderful care that is given to my mum.

I heard from several friends that The Burlington was the best and I can confirm it is. The staff are wonderful and caring. No complaints about the menu, which is varied and looks delicious. Living in Australia, I have the confidence of knowing that Mum is in good hands. Also, I can keep in contact by
email or telephone.

I arrived at the care home in September 2021, having just lost my husband, and found the atmosphere very friendly. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped. The bathrooms were delightful and it was great to see each one had an individual shower. The food is, on the whole, very appetising and the meals
are always something to look forward to. I feel a little bit more time should be given to the question of activities to create further amalgamation of residents.

My mum was really well looked after by the staff and fellow residents at The Burlington and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Newly built, it's very well laid out with a real feeling of space. It's homely with lovely touches such as homemade cake and biscuits, flowers and comfortable communal spaces.
My
mum never complained about anything - the food was great, the extra curricular activity really good and there was a strong sense of care and compassion.
The staff team also seemed to be very stable and were always a delight to deal with.

When we were viewing care homes, The Burlington stood out for its bright and welcoming ambience and smiling staff. Our mum has lived there now for a year, and our lived experience remains very positive. Mum was reluctant to leave her home and has dementia. The staff were so caring and helped both us
and Mum through the settling-in period. Six months on, we cannot believe how well and happy she is. Generally, high standard of care, activities and food, doing their best through Covid. The staff are what differentiates this care home from the others we saw.

Visiting my aunt was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. She was happy and adjusted and I could tell she felt in control of her care. The greeting on arrival from the staff was welcoming and there was evidence of a truly caring attitude towards my aunt. Staff were aware of who she was as a person, not
just an elderly lady. She was well cared for and happy. Her family and herself are fully involved in her needs and care.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.976)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.976) out of 10 for The Burlington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.976 for The Burlington is calculated as follows: ( (325 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 333 Ratings = 4.976
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Burlington is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 78 registered maximum number of service users is 15.6, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
