As mum's health deteriorated after the death of her husband, we looked around care home options in our area. It had to be somewhere mum would be happy. Looking round Chartwell we were impressed at once with the fresh modern decor and the friendliness of the staff. The fact they have a nautical theme
running throughout seemed to be a sign as mum's husband was in the Royal Navy. Although it was very difficult leaving her home, she now calls Chartwell 'home'. We are happy knowing that the amazing staff not only give her the best care, but also have interesting and fun activities if she wants to participate, but if she doesn't she has a bright and spacious room overlooking the gardens if she wants to stay there. As mum says, nothing is too much trouble. We cannot fault the care and attention she receives. Book a tour, see for yourself!

I Booked my mother into Branpton Manor for some respite care following a fall and hospital stay. From the time of viewing the care home to the end of stay of my mother I cannot express my high gratitude for the care and support of the staff. On arrival my mother was met and made felt welcome. Every
day that she spent at the home was exceptional with the staff being friendly and supportive. I have not seen my mother more happy and relaxed for a long time. There were daily activities that were engaging and interactive including cake m aking, flower arranging and Bingo. I cannot thank the staff enough for thir care and support and for making my mother feel welcome and comfortable. I cannot reccomend Brampton Manor enough

My mum has been a resident at Chartwell House for over 18 months. We know she is in safe hands and well looked after. Chartwell House was the best choice for mum when we needed to find a home for her, and she has been happy there since day 1, and most importantly, we know that she is safe and happy.
The staff are lovely, the facilities are clean, and there are a wide variety of activities for mum to join in /watch as she decides. It is easy to visit mum at times that work for us, and the bistro means mum feels like she feels she is treating us to coffee like she did in her previous life. I am very pleased with mum's care at Chartwell House and would recommend Chartwell House to anyone looking for the next forever home for their loved one
Reply from Jude Coveney, Admissions Manager at Chartwell House

We were so touched reading this heartfelt review from a family member of a resident at Chartwell House .Knowing that a loved one feels secure, cared for, and still able to enjoy the little things like a coffee catch-up in our bistro means the world to us. It's those everyday moments of connection that make life feel familiar, meaningful, and truly special. To hear "the best choice for mum" and "she has been happy there since day one" is exactly why we do what we do . The care, warmth, affection and response from ALL the team at Brampton Manor from walking through the door to taking mum home is outstanding. As a nurse myself of some 40years, I am attuned to high level care. I can 100% say that every single member of the team is an outstanding team player.
My mum
enjoys company but does not find it easy to push herself forward. She interacted, made new friends , partook in all the events and learned new things during her 3 week stay.
She has been in respite before at other places and is always ready to come home after a few days! She felt at Brampton Manor at home and that she had had a wonderful holiday .
I can't express my thanks enough to the team in enabling me to go on holiday knowing mum was on her own holiday. Whenever I called to speak with her, I was greeted with kindness and prompt service to talk with mum who was always so cheerful and happy. It made my holiday a success.
Thank you again to you all!!! You deserve every award going .

What a welcoming and happy place the moment you step through the door. All the staff are so kind and friendly and you can tell it's genuine. Nothing is too much trouble and there are so many staff available to help the residents. The rooms are light and spacious with lovely decoration as I the whole
home. A lot of thought has been put into how it's been designed and the decor so it looks like a hotel rather than a home. All the residents I have seen there since my mother arrived are well dressed and look happy and cared for. I really can't think of anything negative at all. My mother has settled in and seems happy and gets her hair done and a newspaper delivered to her room every day which are optional but add to the personalisation. I would highly recommend it.

My Mother has been at Brampton Manor for over a year and I am so happy with this exceptional care home.
It is so clean, light, airy and beautifully furnished. The food, facilities and entertainment are all excellent and the garden is well cared for, pretty and has comfortable seating.
The most important
part for me is the calm, kind carers, they create a wonderful atmosphere and have endless patience.

I can not put into words how much I love that Brampton Manor is mums home. The dread and thoughts are overwhelming when you know the time has come to think about more care for your loved one. I can honestly say that from day one I felt that mum was safe and loved here and that's all I wanted for mum.
Caring for a loved one is stressful and exhausting, all that has gone now because I know my mum is very well cared for. Mum reflects that feeling too she is happier and settled.

From my first contact over the phone I have been impressed and delighted with Brampton Manor . It was a stressful time and the conversations I had were reassuring and professional and the care towards me was evident .
On meeting the staff over the four months since I first met them I have been assured
of a genuine affection which is shown in the kindness and care my dad receives. All the staff exhibit both a warmth and professionalism which is extremely reassuring .
I have joined my dad for lunch and confirm the food is excellent! The home and garden are beautiful .There is such variation of activities available to meet social and spiritual needs and lovely engagement with the community. Most importantly though is the attitude towards my dad, and also his family which has been truly outstanding.

From the first moment of walking into Brampton Manor, I felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, kindness and happiness from the people around. The environment was welcoming, clean and spacious with a contemporary style. When I met admissions manager, he took that pleasant experience to a whole new level.
He was compassionate, focused, knowledgeable, and he took the time to complete a comprehensive assessment on how Brampton Manor could best care and support our mum. He listened and focused completely on the person Mum was and how they could enhance her daily life. There was no hesitation about Mum moving into Brampton Manor, we'd found Mum's next home, home from home. The daily activities bring Mum and the other residents so much joy. All the staff are approachable, kind, proactive and friendly. Brampton Manor provides outstanding care from this wonderful warm and dedicated team.
