Nan has settled in really well at The Burlington. We are so pleased and relieved with our choice. Mum is looking and feeling better too as she was so worried about nan moving into a care home.

This will be my last review, as my mother passed away two weeks ago there. First, I would like to thank the team that looked after my mum. I have had trouble with the management in the past, and I totally disagree that Dementia cases have to be put out of the way on other floors, which seems to be the rule in the UK. These are my opinions only.

I found that the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. They did a lot to involve the residents and to take part in activities. The home was always clean. It was always nice to walk in, and it didn’t matter whether it was management or caters, they always seemed cheerful and knew your name. I found palliative and end of life care for my mother to be exceptional; the staff were really caring right up to the end.

My uncle went into The Burlington during lockdown one, at home alone, he was lonely and stuck in a shell as he didn't have anyone to talk to. We decided to make the decision to move him into a care home, which turns out was the best thing we did. He is now so happy, he has a group of friends that he has lunch with, but best of all, he is being looked after and eating properly again!

The attitude and professionalism of staff at The Burlington with whom I came into contact were always exemplary. All were very friendly and I was confident that my parents would be taken care of in a compassionate and empathic manner. Covid19 restrictions did inhibit the range of options available to my parents and us in terms of visiting and enjoying time with them. However, there is little The Burlington could do about that but they did their very best.

My mother came to The Burlington during lockdown following a hospital stay. The transfer was very well managed and as soon as she arrived I was able to see her via video call. Since being there Mum has been shown nothing but kindness and seems more calm and contented despite her dementia. It is difficult having limited visiting due to the situation we are all in at the moment, but when I do see her I always feel reassured that she is being very well looked after and can’t thank the care team and staff enough.

My father has been a resident of The Burlington for just over a year. It is a wonderful environment full of positivity, warmth, and love. My father has really settled in now and has built relationships with other residents and carers. The overall care is very good and we know that the team have been working very hard during lockdown to maintain the residents' spirits and keep them engaged in various ways. There is no doubt in our minds that this is the very best place for my father. Thank you to each and every person who looks after him on a daily basis ensuring that his safety, well being, and happiness are maintained. This has been a very difficult time for everyone and not being able to see my father has been hard, but we know the risks the team have taken to be there every day. We will be forever grateful. We look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.

We have been extremely happy with The Burlington and their help with our parents.
They both loved the home from the moment they saw it and settled very quickly.
The home is very homely and lots of lovely activities to keep mum busy.

The staff are all excellent and nothing is too much trouble. We would wholeheartedly recommend it.

From the moment we entered The Burlington we felt nothing but caring support and warmth of friendship all given in a professional manner. Their aim to make the residents stay to be "home from home" they have achieved 100%. My husbands physical, emotional and overall needs be a time of respite and rehabilitation were met by every member of staff who were most attentive and extremely helpful carrying out their respective duties in a cheerful and caring manner. The home is very comfortable and homely but what really puts it apart is the level of real care and consideration for the resident, not just doing a job.
Plus the food is excellent and the entertainment is very good.

It's a load off my mind knowing mum is safe, secure and really cared for.
