other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Yet another successful respite stay at Mountbatten Grange. Mum has dementia and it’s always difficult with new surroundings but the staff here are great and Mum settles in well. The staff are great, friendly and professional. From speaking on the phone to first point of contact with customer care to
meet and greet on arrival. They fill me with confidence that mum will be safe and looked after well for her stay. Would highly recommend anyone using respite care for the first time to choose here and feel confident about the care.

Could not fault it, always very friendly and helpful, and look after my sister with great care. The garden is kept very nice. The building kept immaculately clean. The snacks on arrival at the cafe are very nice, a very small problem, sometimes it's hard to find a parking place.

I would highly recommend Mountbatten Grange. The rooms and facilities are excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I have been visiting the home for the past year. I cannot compliment the staff highly enough. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome when you visit. They make my sister so happy and look after her well. The home is really clean and the food is excellent. The cakes in the cafe and the coffee

After some years of caring for my mother at home my sister and I looked at suitable care homes within our vicinity. We were impressed with the facilities and ambience of Mountbatten Grange where she was admitted in December 2022. My mother had the onset of dementia and also a lack of mobility. I was
pleased with her room which was very well appointed and in very good decorative order. I was present with her for some hours each day and she was treated with care and compassion by the staff. I would like to thank them all with a special mention to the admissions Manager who was so helpful and reassuring before and during my mothers admission to Mountbatten Grange.

My mum spent nine nights in respite care for the first time. She thoroughly enjoyed herself, enjoyed the activities and was up singing and dancing. I was made to feel very welcome when I enquired about getting my aunt into Mountbatten Grange. Their customer relations manager explained carefully how the system worked and the financial implications.
My aunt initially came in for respite care but has now decided she feels so comfortable there, she

We had viewed many care homes in the area and Mountbatten Grange Care Home stood out as clearly the best suited to my father's needs. The customer care manager was extremely helpful, understanding and very patient while we considered all our options. All of the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and
caring. They were very flexible and responded quickly to any questions or issues we had.
The facilities are excellent, high quality and provide a very comfortable environment. There is also a good range of activities which my father was encouraged to take part in (without being pressured), but was also given space to have his own private time.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.

I cannot rate Mountbatten Grange high enough! 5+++ stars.
From the moment we viewed the home we knew straight away it was perfect for our mum. Mum moved into Mountbatten Grange in December 2022 and already we can see such a difference in mum. She is so happy and well cared for.
All the staff, carers
and nurses understand all my mum's needs as an individual and care for her so well. The facilities are excellent, cinema room, hairdressers, lovely lounge areas for residents to share with their visitors, private dining room and coffee shop. The home is extremely clean, through the communal areas and mum's room which is a very high standard. Having viewed many care homes Mountbatten Grange is definitely number 1 in every aspect.
As a family, it's so reassuring to know mum is so happy and looked after so well. Thank you Mountbatten Grange!

We have been absolutely delighted with Mount Batten Grange and cannot recommend it highly enough. Their Customer Relation Manager has been outstanding from the very first interaction, helping to support the family and navigate our way around the care system and the transition from hospital back into
the community. The facilities are amazing and it really is like being in a 5-star hotel and every member of staff we have interacted with is helpful, patient and kind and we can relax knowing that our mum is being really well cared for. This care home has been amazing. My grandma was there for just short of 2 weeks. The staff made her so comfortable along with myself and family. Through 1 of the toughest experiences anyone could go through, losing a loved one, they really did pull out all the stops and become a second family.

My mum spent her last 2 weeks at Mountbatten grange before sadly passing away. I could not ask for a better, caring environment for her to be in. All the staff go way beyond their duty to look after mum and us as a family. They kept me updated as I live 2 hours away. Would recommend the home to anyone

Job Title: Home Manager

I started my career in care in 2001 and joined the Care UK team in 2006. What really stands out for me about Mountbatten Grange is its homely atmosphere. Family members can visit whenever they want and are always guaranteed a lovely welcome.


My goal at work every day is to make sure every resident is happy and enjoying a stimulating, fulfilling life. I think the only way to achieve this is by making sure that each resident receives truly individualised care from people who’ve invested time in really getting to know them, their needs and their experiences. It’s also important to me that family members are happy with the care that their loved one is receiving. Getting great feedback from relatives is very rewarding for everyone on our team.


Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, taking walks, going for bike rides and generally spending time in the countryside. Many residents enjoy spending time outdoors too, so we like to get out and about as much as possible, in the local area and also to the coast.
