I find that most of the carers are very considerate. They are always on hand to help you. There are too many that I can say are helpful.

We have a carer from the lifestyle team, he comes in most mornings. He is very kind and thoughtful, he really brightens up the morning. He likes making us coffee but usually the machine packs up on him, so we all chirp him about that.

My dear mum has been a resident at Carpathia Grange Care Home for over two years and throughout that time has experienced unconditional love and care. Mum can be a little difficult sometimes but she is always treated with the utmost respect and kindness. She has the freedom to do whatever she likes and is in no way restricted - even if she wants to do some washing up!
Mum is always encouraged to participate in a variety of activities and there is always someone on hand to have a wee chat.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their dedication, sense of humour and overall loveliness both towards my mum and to my family.

Fabulous place!

All the staff couldn't have done more to make my mother-in-law feel more welcome and looked after. Also, we as her family were reassured and updated on how Mum was getting on the whole time. Such a lovely relaxed homely feel as you walked around and Mum loved the food and getting involved in a lot of the activities... even started knitting!

The staff at Carpathia welcomed my dad into the home with open arms. He was very pleased to be there and said it was fantastic. The rooms are large, clean and welcoming with everything he needed. The staff made his stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, he was seriously ill, but from the start of his stay to the end of his life, he was very well taken care of. Thank you so much.

After surveying all the available homes in our area for Mum, she chose Carpathia Grange Care Home as the most suitable for her. It being new and purpose-built with nice rooms and very good and caring staff. Mum seems quite settled and well looked after. Room for improvement! There seems to be a lot of agency staff. While we understand it is necessary to manage the home, consistency would be better for the residents. Also, Mum struggles with the lack of choice to the main menu. There are some very nice gardens, it's a shame they don't get the same level of care and attention as the residents! Overall, full marks must go to all the staff for their dedication and kindness.

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you feel your mother is well looked after. I am a little surprised with your comment regarding agency staff, as it is very rare to have agency members in our home. However, as you have pointed out, safety is paramount and we are happy to report that we...

Carpathia Grange Care Home staff treat my husband like a family member, even the cleaner said today she loves to visit the residents while she is cleaning their rooms. Carpathia Grange makes you feel really welcome all the time. I would highly recommend. Carpathia Grange is like a five-star hotel. It's an excellent nursing home.

We moved our mother to Carpathia from another home and can honestly say that it was the best thing we could have done. From the front door through to the bedroom, everything shouts an efficient welcome. The staff are all professional, focused, friendly, supportive and efficient. Visiting is a joy to find a very relaxed and cared for mum, who talks lots about the lovely staff. Plenty of activities to entertain and excellent food to nourish. Mum has her sparkle back and that is down to Carpathia. Staff motivation and enthusiasm comes from strong and supportive management. This is evident at all levels.

I am extremely impressed every time I visit Carpathia Grange Care Home by firstly the lovely atmosphere, by the reception and administration staff who are friendly, efficient and quick to any and worries or misgivings. Everywhere is immaculate and the decor is beautiful. The residents' rooms are light and warm with ensuite, beautiful facilities. The carers and nursing staff show respect, kindness and interest in their work. The menu shows amazing choices.

I would like to write about the care, consideration and understanding of Carpathia Grange, in particular the staff member who deals with all the admissions of new guests, who along with the manager reassured me from the very first conversation I had with them. I was in the position of having to relocate my mother from another care home at very short notice. Right from the start they were sympathetic and exceptionally helpful, with reassurance all the way.

Once we had the lateral flow test, we were able to view the home inside. It is like walking into a 5-star hotel. Every single member of staff I met introduced themselves. Carpathia has a real sense of kindness and warmth from everyone you meet. It was a stressful time moving my mum, who has dementia, but the staff made the whole process very smooth and calm. I have been kept in close contact each day on Mum's progress which is very kind. I would thoroughly recommend Carpathia Grange.

Having not gone through this process before but knew it was the right thing to do! We needed all the help we could get to navigate the situation and Carpathia staff were fabulous, from our initial contact probably a year ago when it was first open when we were only discussing ideas for my aunts future to when all of a sudden she needed support full time from November 2020 onwards. Always at the end of the phone for even silly questions and even now helping me with support in the forms that need filling in. They contact us regularly with updates on my Aunt's progress and if any extras needed eg toiletries, which is so reassuring. My Aunt is incredibly happy and feels safe and is radiant, the best she has looked and felt for years! Thank you. Book my stay in twenty years time!

During the difficult period of COVID Carpathia Grange staff have taken care of mum throughout. Regular posts on Facebook allow us to see how mum is getting along with photos of her taking part in activities and celebrating her Birthday. I cannot fault the staff for her care and support they have given not only to mum but also in contracting us when any concerns have been raised about mum's care.

I live in Australia, my mum resides at Carpathia Grange. I work in aged care and so I know what to look for, I am extremely happy with the way the staff are looking after mum, their care and love is outstanding! They keep me in the loop with regular photos, I can ring and speak to mum any time. Nothing is too much trouble. With all what is going on, it is so reassuring to know that mum is happy and safe, especially being so far away. Thank you so much to everyone, the staff are amazing and I could not be happier with where my mum is.

They have looked after my Nanna so well. She went in not being able to walk after breaking her hip and staff have really encouraged her to become independently mobile again! All the staff seem lovely and one person, in particular, takes the time to WhatsApp me to tell me when it’s a good time to videocall nanna which is lovely. The manager was very helpful when my Nanna had just moved in and we had concerns about a pressure sore that she had got whilst in hospital.

My Mum joined Carpathia Grange straight from the hospital and I cannot fault the communication, care and support provided to all of us through this transition. I can't wait for Mum to see all the facilities and meet new friends following her quarantine period. The staff went above and beyond when Mum's glasses went missing and all are a very friendly bunch! Thank you for looking after Mum and us!

I cannot praise this care home enough and have no hesitation in recommending it. My father has been a resident since May, having been told it would be for a short while and palliative care only. When entering the home he was not eating or drinking but due to the hard work, compassion and nursing care he is still there and we are so thankful that we chose Carpathia Grange. Even when we could not visit we knew he was in safe hands. Everyone from reception, management, nursing and care staff all deserve nothing but admiration for the work they do whilst keeping so cheerful and approachable. This home goes the extra mile to ensure residents and family are happy and kept informed of any developments. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.

We have a terrific team at Carpathia Grange. I started working here in 2020 and have progressed from Team Leader to Unit Manager, Deputy Manager, and Home Manager.

We all work incredibly hard, and I am proud of what we have achieved. So far, we have received gold standard framework accreditation, which shows that we consistently deliver high-quality end-of-life care when needed.

We have also achieved VIPS accreditation, which focuses on high-quality person-centred care for residents living with dementia. Both demonstrate our commitment to residents, ensuring we make a real difference to those we support.

As a Home Manager, it’s important to have good communication skills, be transparent and have a vision for high standards. As a leader, you also need to be positive and approachable; it is my role to provide help and support to colleagues as well as residents.

My favourite part of working here is ensuring all residents enjoy being at Carpathia Grange. We create happy memories and actively nurture healthy lifestyles. Seeing smiles on the lovely faces of residents makes me smile too. I feel privileged to be able to make such a positive difference in people’s lives.

Outside of work, I love a spa day to unwind and relax. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
