I would like to thank all the team at Hawkhurst House who looked after my mother after being transferred for rehab to Hawkhurst House. Sadly she never recovered from the operation and died on 20th March 2023. The care she recieved under extremely difficult circumstances was fantastic, and communication
with both the care team and doctors surgery was exemplary. The facilities were great and clean. Staff were always on hand if needed. Thank you for making a difficult time more acceptable.

Dad was shown kindness and respect by all of the staff and they supported him through a very difficult period. I was always made welcome and any questions or concerns were dealt with quickly. My only concern is the lack of activities provided the television should not be the only option.

With regards to the activities, I'm sorry you only witnessed the television for entertainment. We did have other activities on offer but as a reablement unit/short stay activities were limited. However, we have now employed a "Hostess and Wellbeing" lady to facilitate more activities/outings for our short stay patients.

My aunt was resident during September she came here from hospital where she was barely eating and had really low morale. When visiting her in Hawkhurst House PRU, she was much happier in herself and I saw her appetite come back as she felt very settled and comfortable here. She was over the moon to
get her nails painted. The staff were very kind and friendly at all times. Unfortunately, my aunt passed away while staying here, but the staff on the day treated us and my aunt with care and dignity. I would highly recommend Hawkhurst House PRU to anyone.

My father had an extended stay due to difficulties sourcing a suitable home care package. His care was exemplary. The staff are wonderful - all of them! He was treated with a great deal of respect and dignity, as well as a lot of humour. The food was great and he got a delicious cake on his birthday.
Cannot praise them highly enough. We will miss visiting.

I enjoyed the company in the lounge each day. I used to walk back to my bedroom several times returning to the lounge for meals and a chat with my friends. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with all the various diets. Food mostly very good lunch being the main meal of the day. Drinks were served
continuously all day. Physiotherapy was excellent once I got the plasters removed and I was able to practice going up and down stairs.

The care home was clean and tidy. The food provided was very good. The staff were very friendly and took much more notice of the little things that were needed. It was a much more pleasant and healing environment than being stuck in a hospital bed. Communication between the home and the family was excellent.

My elderly mum was transferred here with a fractured pelvis and head wound after a fall. She was unable to walk or feed herself when she arrived and was in pain. The staff team did a fantastic job of helping her walk again and her pain was always well controlled. The staff always greeted her (and me)
by our first names and were always smiling, supportive and helpful. By the time she left she was fully mobile using a frame, was eating normally at the dining table with other residents, and even made a friend. My mum rediscovered her pride in her appearance with the help of the team at the PRU who organised a mobile hairdresser and even painted her nails for her. The PRU is an incredibly important and well-led service that made a very real difference to the health and well-being of my mum.

My wife was sent to Hawkhurst House for respite after a spell in hospital. When visiting I found the management and staff very helpful and all seemed very dedicated to their guests. Every time I had a query or request it was dealt with immediately. My wife found great benefits from her stay.

Hawkhurst House PRU Ltd is light, spacious and newly built and decorated. I was pleased that my husband spent his last few weeks there after his discharge from hospital. The staff were so patient and caring and treated him with dignity. They were always welcoming to me and also friendly. His room was

I felt Mum was safe and well cared for at all times. During her stay, her mobility and appetite improved and her weight started to increase. The staff are delightful and she became very fond of them. She did not like some meals, but I think this is due to changing tastes after her illness. Daily physio/jigsaw
puzzles and other activities would have been good - we do not know whether or not this happened as she is not good at remembering. Thank you everyone, a positive stay,

Mum was very well looked after during her stay at Hawkhurst House. She had just come out of hospital, after a procedure, and was very frail and unable to return home.
Everyone she came into contact with was very kind and professional throughout. She had a lovely room and enjoyed walking down to the
spacious lounge and dining room to meet, and eat with, other people.
She was sad to leave but is now doing very well back in her own home, with some extra help. She is 92 this year.
We were all very grateful to the Hawkhurst House staff who took such great care of her during her stay.

My dad spent three to four weeks at Hawkhurst House PRU Ltd whilst there we was treated extremely well. All his needs were met, the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to help. The communication is excellent the rooms are clean, big and airy. As is the communal lounge and eating area.
Whilst
my dad was there they sorted out any problems quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble.
My dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay and had no complaints.

Step down care from hospital to prepare for my return home. The staff were extremely attentive and caring - physio, occupational therapy, personal trainer and general practitioner support were all on hand. A very happy and caring atmosphere, all aided my recovery and return home.
