It was with a heavy heart, with no other option, that we placed Dad into Crossley House in December 2022. It was the most awful time of my life. However, I can not speak highly enough of the management and the staff for all the care they provided to Dad and all the support they gave to me and our family. It became my home away from home. The entertainment provided to the residents was fantastic, especially at Christmas. Unfortunately, we have now lost Dad, but the care and respect shown to him and us during his stay will stay with me forever. I actually miss going down to visit.

My mother required a care home in 2016 after independent living became too challenging. Crossley immediately presented itself as a calm, clean environment with professional and homely qualities. My mother settled in quickly and this was her home until her passing in December 2022. Throughout that time, the staff have always been kind, considerate, patient and caring. It was reassuring to know that my mother's needs were being addressed and that she was in a safe place. She made friends and had opportunities to socialise or stay quietly in her room. The dining room impressed, with table service and menu choices arranged for her dietary needs, her room was private, and comfortable, with space for personal items and views across the valley. I am satisfied that she was happy, and all credit to the care team whose hard work is appreciated.

As I have stated below with my options, Crossley House Care Home is a lovely friendly warm home, as soon as you walk in you are greeted by lovely staff, warm smiles and a nice clean bright modern environment for the residents. You feel welcome it's like an extended family. My father-in-law was looked after so well by everyone during his short stay at Crossley House. A big thank you to all the staff.

Nice staff, good location, good food, clean room. On collection of Mother, had clothes that didn't belong to her. Had clothes marked up in her name missing. Awaiting contact from home if and when they find the missing clothing. Tried over thirty times throughout her stay and on various days to get an update on her. No one answered the phone and didn't have the facility to leave her a message, unable to also leave messages at weekends as the office only works Monday to Friday.

Dad was only admitted this week, my brother and I were full of trepidation.
No one wants to put their elderly or infirm family in care but, there comes a point when despite your best efforts, for one reason or another you cannot cope anymore. Dad just wasn’t safe and we were unable to care 24/7, we were painted into the proverbial corner.
I won’t lie, it was awful taking him in! We’d tried to explain and to a degree dad understood but it wasn’t his choice.

The home and the staff are wonderful, they are caring for us just as they are caring for dad. We feel so very reassured that the care he is receiving is infinitely better than we could ever do and he is safe now. Nothing is too much trouble for them, every tiny detail regarding dad's likes, dislikes, and sensibilities is noted and catered for. I know it’s early days but I can’t see anything changing, only getting better. I was very anxious about going in this morning but I was met with a huge smile and hug from my dad.

Found it fine. Did think that there may be a little more going on during the day but apart from that I cannot complain about anything.

Excellent care and well-looked after. All staff are brilliant. Food was very good. Pleased with all food. Had some excellent meals. Really enjoyed it.

Crossley House Care Home is a very welcoming place. The staff are always friendly and helpful, whether that be the administrators or the caregivers. The home is well-appointed and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The food is good, all freshly prepared daily in the kitchen. My relative was a resident for three years and in all that time I never had any complaints. The level of care provided is excellent, the carers are highly efficient regarding personal care needs and also provide very kind emotional support when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Crossley House.

My Mum moved into Crossley House Care Home in April 2022. She has been there for approximately 5 weeks and has settled extremely well. The care and consideration given to her in this time has been excellent, the staff are all very nice, happy to help and considerate to my Mum’s needs. The home is always clean, tidy and has a Homely feel. The room that my Mum has was newly painted and deep cleaned before her arrival. We have put in her own television and recliner chair to make it feel homely to her. The rooms do have bedroom furniture which is all matching and in good condition. it’s decorated in neutral colours and has nice bright coloured curtains and they have put some of her pictures on the walls. The room is nice and bright and warm and has an en-suite which has plenty of space for her walking frame or wheelchair. There is a good choice of food at mealtimes, and cakes, biscuits and cups of tea are offered between. The dining and sitting room areas are very clean, bright & accessible.

My initial impression was of relief, having been in at least six other care homes that were not up to the standard of Crossley House Care Home. The establishment was clean and in parts newly decorated and refurbished, which was refreshing. My wife was admitted for just a week to give me respite and I left her with peace of mind knowing that she would receive the best care possible for her short stay. A well done to the team, I look forward to meeting you all again quite soon.

Mum went to Crossley House in February due to her frailty and not able to look after herself at home. She has been well looked after, and unfortunately, due to her lack of sight as sometimes found it difficult to respond to her carers as obviously can't put a face to them. Her carers have been very considerate and lovely towards her. She has had a few health problems since going into Crosslet, but her carers have dealt with them quickly and efficiently and got the help she required. I am more than happy for Mum to stay at Crossley as it gives her family peace of mind she is well cared for.

We moved my father into Crossley House Care Home in November 2021. We chose Crossley as my father-in-law had spent four happy, cared-for and safe years there.
My father had been reluctant to leave his own home but his needs were too great to be served by the care he could receive there. The transition was quick, efficient, caring and friendly. He settled in within days and immediately began to enjoy the company of staff and other residents. His room was large, light and airy and had been decorated immediately prior to his arrival.
The quality of the food and the frequency of it really suited my father. He was always complimentary about it.
There were frequent activities, which he took part in and enjoyed.
Our communication with the staff was easy and friendly. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, but particular mention must be given to the deputy manager and the senior carer. Both are exceptional.

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the home.
