We are very happy she is considering this as many other suggestions over the years have failed.

My husband and I have been here two years. We have been comfortable and well treated. My husband suffers from Alzheimer's and hasn't settled but everything has been done to make us comfortable.

A very safe and caring environment. The staff are very caring and my dog can come and visit me often which is very important to me.

A care home, not a nursing home, more residential care than nursing care.

She, therefore, needs a high degree of assistance and on balance, we have found everyone very helpful and caring. She is now being fed at mealtimes and this is essential to ensure she eats properly. One thing not so good is that she has her hair done then they put her under the shower so it's a waste of money! Please use a shower cap and combe her hair!

The ability to pop in at any time of the day and always feel a warm welcome is very reassuring. I haven't seen my mother looking so well for a long time. All her needs are met and she feels safe and secure. Each and every member of staff is at hand to talk to and help. They are an incredible team.

One feels welcome at all times. After visiting many care homes, Sunrise would be my choice if I could afford it.

My mother seems to have settled in well. It is good that she is often in the main rooms and not alone in her own room. She likes having the company and finds the staff very helpful. She enjoys the music provided and it is good that there is stimulus for those who suffer from dementia. There has been a good variety of food and staff always willing to provide cups of tea.

All staff were very friendly and caring. I was very pleased to be in Sunrise for recovering from my terrible back trouble. We keep in contact.

The experience is a very nice one. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Whenever we had any concerns, Sunrise of Hale Barns staff have always endeavoured to meet them or try to sort our queries out. We've been offered something to eat even when we are just visiting our Mum. We are very happy with the service being provided and this has encouraged us to feel re-assured that our loved one is well looked after.

Courteous, caring and friendly staff. Welcoming environment clean and well laid out. Rooms are well maintained with efficient laundry service. Excellent dining facilities and staff strive to provide food to tempt differing tastes. Good that young people from the neighbouring college are welcomed into the house.

My mother has been in Sunrise of Hale Barns for nearly a year and would recommend it to anyone. It is like a six-star hotel for the elderly and I would not want my mother in anywhere else.

I have been happy with the care given to my father and previously to my late mother. The costs are quite high, but it meant that Dad was able to have a room with a separate bedroom and plenty of space for the 3 piece suite and coffee table, and a little alcove which is ideal for his computer.

As Mum had dementia, she was on a separate, secure floor, but being in the same building made visiting easier for everyone.

No concerns other than the length of time my mother can remain there due to high costs associated with her residency there.

The home is beautifully presented and welcoming. What sets is apart is the professionalism of its staff. They work to very high standards and give confidence that they will care for your loved one. Communication is excellent and it's always easy to talk to the person you need advice and/or information from. There are many activities on offer and guests are encouraged to participate.

Sunrise is a great place for older people who still have good mental capacity, and good communication skills, but for someone like my mother with dysphasia and comprehension problems, their staff are not trained up to an adequate level to meet their emotional and physical needs.
