The staff clearly take a lot of pride in the cleanliness and organisation of the home, and get to know the residents well.
We've had a few blips in communication but overall are very happy with Kew House. It's certainly a lovely environment in comparison to many of the alternatives available.
Thank you very much for taking the time to add your review surrounding your experience of Kew House and the care provided to your loved one. We shall share your kind words to the entire team
We needed to find a safe and happy place for my mother in all haste at the end of 2024. The Client Relations Manager, was extraordinarily responsive --got back to us super quickly, arranged countless phone meetings and was kind and soothing to my mum in a time of crisis. Kew House has been excellent. The staff are kind and patient, and there are all kinds of enrichment activities (my mother still talks about the visiting dachshunds, and the ducklings that were in the home for Easter!) The services are superb--hair, nails, physiotherapy, and now dental; and most of all, we as an international family have peace of mind because when a problem arises the team always alerts the doctor, who does weekly rounds, and my mum gets the care she needs.
Thank you for taking the time to add a review this means a huge amount. Your kind words surrounding our team and the support they provide to your Mother will be passed onto all at Kew House
The staff team are amazing ..Everyone from the reception staff, care staff, kitchen and laundry team, gardener and Managers make the time to engage with us all. Mum has ups and downs but throughout staff are consistent, friendly and compassionate. We can see she is settling and engaging more as a result of this approach. We are always welcome and greeted as part of the KH family. There is a way to go but the journey has started!
We never go home worrying that she's not cared for as well as she could possibly be and is in safe hands. Thank you yo everyone at Kew House.. You are an amazing team ..
Thank you so much for taking the time to add such a kind and heartfelt review. It is a pleasure taking care of your Mother. We shall pass on your positive words to our entire team.
The Customer Relationship Manager at Kew House helped us navigate the process with exceptional communication, warmth and care. She has a way of knowing what families need.
Since Dad moved in February, I feel reassured that he is cared for exceptionally well, he looks healthy and the staff take time to talk to him, take him out for walks and think about what he would like to do. He goes on regular trips, the art museum being the most resent outing, he loves gardening with a particular staff member and is so proud of how the garden looks. One carer has taken particular care of him, always updating me with what they have chatted about and organising for him to have a meal at a local Italian, something he loves and misses.
The staff at Kew House always have a smile on their face as they care for the residents. I see how hard they work as I regularly visit. The atmosphere feels very welcoming and has a family vibe to it. Thank you for all you do x
Your kind words surrounding the care provided by our team to your Father is really appreciated. We shall certainly pass on this review to all.
We looked at Kew for respite for an elderly family friend after a spell in hospital. The process of moving her to Kew was smoothly managed by the Client Relations Manager, we obviously had lots of questions and the Client Relations Manager was able to help and re-assure us and work with the hospital team for the transition. Kew really is a home from home. The rooms are beautiful and there are lots of activities to keep residents engaged with special events for things such as Christmas and Halloween. The on-site chefs produce amazing meals every day and the staff are kind and caring nothing is ever too much trouble. The on-site additional facilities are great with residents taking advantage of the cafe bar so that they can socialise with friends. There is also a cinema and a beauty salon and lots of outings for residents to sign up for. Kew also engages a lot with the wider community with regular visits from school children, the Sunday morning church service and a baby and mums group that come in.
Thank you so much for taking the time to add such an incredible review. This is really appreciated and we shall pass on your kind words to the entire team at Kew House
Care is excellent.
The only situation of concern is the clothes, shoes etc. get lost and it seems to be typical of Dementia patients as they circulate various items amongst themselves.
General tidying of wardrobes and drawers could improve.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review surrounding the care being provided to your loved one by the Team at Kew House. This is very much appreciated
Kew House was not the first nursing home that we tried for Mum. The first one resulted in severe weight loss, diminished mobility and a real sense of anxiety. Within a few weeks at Kew House Mum was transformed. The team closely managed her diet, she regained the weight, her mobility was restored and she is now always the first on the dance floor! Whilst I know the quality of care is excellent I strongly believe it's the culture of kindness that really makes Mum thrive. Thanks to all.
Thank you for adding such a brilliant review surrounding the care of your Mum at Kew House. It is a pleasure supporting with her care and we shall pass your kind words onto the entire Team
After being heavily resistant to the idea of moving into a care home some four months ago, my mother has settled well into her new life at Kew House and is full of praise for the staff. Her visitors have all remarked how welcoming the home feels and how friendly everyone is. The communication is great, from phone calls, to emails and via a dedicated app. It gives me huge piece of mind to know that she is safe and extremely well cared for at Kew House.
Thank you so much for your reply and positive comments surrounding the care provided to your Mother by our dedicated team. We shall pass on your kind words to all at Team Kew.
We have been more than happy with Kew house.
Abundant staff all happy , obliging and courteous
If I'm concerned I never hesitate to/ nor fail to find a member of staff who can reliably resolve the problem
All aspects of the home are transparent. I feel confident that my husband is receiving the best care possible .
The menu is nutritious varied and beautifully presented even if eating in bed !
He is treated with kindness and respect, I feel the staff 'understand ' him !
Kew House is very welcoming to visitors Who are made to feel at home with beverages croissants , biscuits always on hand. It really does feel like one happy family even though my husband is reluctant/ unable to participate in many of the activities .
Just a huge thank you for all your cARE
Your kind words surrounding the care we have provided to your Husband will be shared with our entire team.Kew House has been so pleased to be able to provide the right care since his arrival to our nursing community in December 2024.
What has probably been the worst time in my life, Kew House has been wonderful in every way, I will always be grateful. All the staff have at all times have been polite and very professional, nothing has been too much trouble
Thank you so much for adding your review surrounding the support and care offered to your Wife since her arrival to Kew House last year.Your kind words will be shared with the entire team at Kew House
Following a stay in hospital, I chose Kew House as a respite home for three weeks. They provided a professional caring service, friendly staff, a comfortable en-suite room, and excellent care. I was able to get back on my feet very quickly and I am grateful to the whole team at Kew House.
Thank you so much for adding a review surrounding your stay at Kew. It was a pleasure being able to support your recuperation process.
My sister had been strongly resisting the potential of becoming resident in a care home, but eventually the necessity of full time care became evident. Following a couple of weeks of settling in she volunteered to me that "It's a really lovely care home. I didn't know that a care home could be this good". These were the most wonderful words that I could imagine. The staff are truly wonderful, all knowing what to do, what not to do, and what their colleagues could do and/or help with.
Thank you for taking the time to add such a lovely review surrounding the care provided to your sister while she resided at Kew House. We shall pass on your kind words to the entire team. Best Wishes. Team Kew
The menu is varied and interesting, well cooked and well presented. Kew House provide a wide range of activities to foster social interaction and create a homely environment for the residents.
We really appreciate the time taken to add a review surrounding the care provided to your mum. We shall pass on your kind words to the entire team at Kew House.
Kew House has been absolutely amazing - the Nursing Team have been brilliant as have all the team in fact. The positive changes in my mother in the few months she has been at Kew House have been phenomenal. Lovely comfortable bedroom and communal areas. The weekly activities are really good and have encouraged her to get up and get involved. Little things like the hairdresser and manicurist have really helped to build my mother's confidence back. Really can't thank the team enough for all the fantastic care!
Such lovely words surrounding the care provided to your mum since her arrival to our home back in July 24. It has been a real pleasure taking care of her and the progress made by your mum since her arrival has been incredible. We shall pass on your kind comments to the entire team at Kew.
Fantastic staff and overall care. Very well thought through and varied activities. Good excellent. Can't say enough good things about Kew House! Recently my mother had a birthday and the staff and team could not have been more helpful in making her celebrations a special and memorable occasion. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for taking the time to add such a smashing review. We shall certainly pass on your kind words to the entire team at Kew House.
Exceptional support before arriving, on arrival and continuously now for our mum and my brother and myself, from managers, carers, reception staff, the maintenance man and cleaners. Everyone is so good with all the residents, which is very reassuring to see. Thank you to you all for your commitment to outstanding service.
Thank you for adding such a smashing review surrounding Kew House. It is an absolute pleasure taking care of your mum and she has settled so well into our care. Best wishes from team Kew.
We are really pleased and impressed by Kew House. From the moment you enter, there is a palpable warmth and nice atmosphere. It has been very reassuring for the family to know our very elderly Father is being cared for and properly looked after. Thanks to all the team, as team effort it is!
Thank you so much for adding your review to this platform. Smashing feedback like this is always marvellous to receive and we always share these reviews with our entire Team.
Kew House was a very pleasant surprise. It's a bright, happy environment where the ratio of residents to staff is very high. After a fortnight, he'd stopped mentioning aspects of his 'old life'. He wasn't great at participating in the activities but enjoyed observing. He loved the meals - including the wine.
He was at Kew House for 18 months. As his dementia took over, his needs for tailored care and compassion became increasingly important. Kew House (in conjunction with medical advice) smoothly adjusted their routine to fit in with our Uncle's changing requirements.
As a family, we are so pleased that he was able to live his last chapter in dignity, and in the midst of a thriving, happy community.
Thank you so much for taking the time to add a review surrounding the care provided to your Uncle during his 18-month stay at Kew House. We shall pass your kind words onto the entire team.
Initially, he was in residential care, and as his needs evolved, he transitioned to the specialized dementia care unit. Throughout his stay, the staff at Kew House consistently went above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. The environment was always warm and welcoming, and the level of care was truly second to none.
The staff's responsiveness and attentiveness were remarkable. Any concerns or issues were promptly addressed, giving us immense peace of mind. Knowing that he was safe, well-cared for, and surrounded by compassionate professionals 24 hours a day was a tremendous comfort to our family.
Thank you once again to the entire team at Kew House for everything you did for my friend.
Thank you so much for taking the times for sending such a heartfelt review surrounding the care of your loved one. It has been a pleasure supporting with their care over the last few years. We shall pass your kind words onto the entire team at Kew House.
Food was often served up cold and the kitchen staff did not understand how to cope with my dietary requirements. Activities for the residents were very few and not appropriate for anyone with any mind to use. My room was noisy from trains passing day and night every few minutes, and also staff shouting down the corridors, even at night.
Although management seemed to take complaints on board it took a long time to make changes (if they eventually happened at all).
I was glad to leave after 2 months stay.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We aim to deliver the highest standards of relationship-centred care here at Kew House. From our other reviews, as well as being voted one of the UK's Top 20 Care Home Groups, you'll see we have hundreds of customers who feel we provide exceptional...

Meet the Team (7)

I have been working in the care home sector since 2014 and have a passion for elderly care. Previous to working in care homes, I completed a neuroscience rotation in a large NHS organisation as a registered nurse.
My passion and goal are to ensure everyone receives care that is tailored to their individual needs.
I aspire to make everyone’s day a little bit brighter, and that includes my residents at Kew House Care Home in Wimbledon, their relatives and the team that I work with.

Hi, My name is Priscilla and I am the Deputy Manager of Kew House
I have been a nurse for over 3 decades, I have practised in general nursing and other special care units.
I have a vested interest in dementia and palliative care Dementia care settings with palliative care.
I joined Hallmark Care in 2019 and a year later had the privilege of being chosen as the end-of-life care champion for Kew House.
A role that offers me an opportunity to be involved with residents and their loved ones during their final years, months, weeks and days of their lives and to ensure that their final wishes are met.
I look forward to meeting you all.

I have been working in Kew House for over four years now starting as a carer and then progressing to a senior carer. Working as a senior carer helped me to understand the dementia community further. This led to me having better knowledge within my role to give the person-centred care that the residents require. It’s a privilege to work alongside team members who care have good knowledge and always support one another.

After about 15 years in the financial sector, i decided to return to my passion which was interior decoration.
I worked in a number of roles in the hospitality industry and joined Hallmark, Kew House, in June 2012 as the Head Housekeeper.
Whilst in Kew House, I continued my education and completed my Diploma in Hospitality Management and then my Degree in BSc International Hospitality and Tourism Management.
I was promoted into the role of Hospitality Services Manager three (3) years ago and have enjoyed every experience throughout my journey and would always ensure that the residents, team and anyone who comes into the home, will have the best experience as promised in our Hallmark Charter.

I joined the Hallmark care home in Wimbledon in March 2023 as the Customer Relationship Manager. Prior to this, I spent 15 years working in hospitality and events management.
My role at Kew House is to help and guide residents and their families from their first initial enquiry surrounding their search for the right care home setting, right through until the resident joins Kew. Crucially, my help continues as I offer support along with the rest of our team for those first few early weeks. I love what I do, and I am glad to come to work every day with this outstanding team.

Hi, my name is Tomasz and I’m Maintenance Manager at Kew House. My adventure with Hallmark Family started in June 2012 at Ty Enfys in Cardiff, where I was working as a Kitchen Assistant and Maintenance Assistant. I acquired a lot of professional experience and I made a cordial relationships with Residents. I enjoyed my almost 2 years over there and I got lots of amazing memories about Ty Enfys Family.
In 2015 I have been promoted and I took charge of maintenance department at Kew House in Wimbledon, London. I will never forget the warm atmosphere I’ve met here on arrival.
I’m confident enough to say that Kew House IS MY FAMILY.
I’m enjoying the fact I’m able to help people and have a positive influence on their lives. It is a brilliant feeling and I JUST LOVE IT
