Winifred Dell Care Centre is a friendly and relaxed place for elderly people to live. It is registered for residential and dementia care.

It encourages residents and visiting families and friends to be fully involved in the day-to-day life of the home including activities. All visitors are welcome to join residents for meals, when possible. Above all, staff believe in a flexible person-centred approach.

The large, enclosed garden areas provide a variety of outside space and are fully accessible for wheelchairs. The communal gardens have been designed to provide sensory stimulation and a safe haven for quiet times. Raised planters enable residents to be involved in planting and garden projects.

Catering and laundry facilities are created to provide excellent services for residents, as well as a safe and pleasant working environment for staff.

I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and put my aunt at ease very quickly. The management team of the manager and care manager were very helpful in the whole process and I would recommend the care home to anybody unsure of where to place a relative.

The most amazing place. I’ve never seen my gran so happy. The reassurance we get as a family is so great knowing that she’s so happy. They always take her out and she’s made great friends. Whenever I go to visit she’s laughing and smiling and the staff are wonderful.

Went to home to visit my sister, didn't realise that she was going to a music afternoon. We were invited to go with her and enjoy the afternoon by the carer who I might add was excellent, getting the residents up to dance if they wanted and generally looking after everyone. Also the entertainment was
first-class.

Your young lady took a lot of trouble to show me around the whole building from the front door onwards, I was really impressed at the cleanliness of the whole place, each floor is well placed, each room very well laid out, very very nice decoration everywhere. Impressed by the gardens and the facilities
laid on for the residents, even parking is easy with plenty if room.

We looked at a few homes for mum before deciding on Winifred Dell. We definitely made the right choice. The home is very welcoming, bright, clean and friendly. The staff are amazing and the resident's Events Coordinator works so hard to make sure the residents a always involved in activities and outings.
The open-door policy is great meaning that relatives are welcome to visit at any time. Can't recommend Winifred Dell highly enough.

We recently spent a lovely afternoon at Winifred Dell Care Home when the Mayor visited to turn on the Christmas lights. We assembled outside with all the residents wrapped up warmly to commence the Carol singing. Words to the Carols were in plentiful supply so that everyone could join in. After all
the favourites were 'belted out' we returned inside to the cosy reception area for some warming mulled wine and mince pies. Everyone looked to be enjoying themselves with lots of chat and laughter about. Well done to everyone for organising a very pleasant afternoon for the residents, family and friends of Winifred Dell.

I am a regular visitor to Winifred Dell where my mother has been living for over 4 years. Her care has been excellent throughout despite the increase in her care needs due to dementia. I appreciate the respect and attention she receives and the many activities she can engage in.

The caring staff are excellent, but we have had a couple of hiccups with the management side. My Mum loves living here and she says she doesn’t want for anything. Her health has improved no end since she’s been here and she’s very contented which is the main aim; she certainly wouldn’t want to go back
to living on her own.

My mother is well cared for in this lovely home. The staff are friendly and caring and are aware of my mother's needs. The facilities are well maintained and user-friendly and everywhere is always clean.

Very happy with the way the staff at Winifred Dell look after my mother. She has been there for almost a year and seems to be very settled. She suffers from dementia and needs help with personal care and the staff are very caring with her. She really enjoys the regular entertainment and trips out.

My mother moved in during August after us seeing the home a few weeks before.
The staff are excellent, friendly, caring and inquisitive as to what they can do for mum.
She has settled really well - and this is down to the lovely rooms, atmosphere and friendly, caring staff. Would highly recommend.

Winifred Dell Care Home have been looking after our aunt and uncle since September 2022. We have recently been through a difficult time and the care and compassion shown by staff has been exceptional. Every member of staff from the ladies who look after their laundry to the management has always been
friendly and treated them both with respect, dignity and care. I cannot recommend Winifred Dell highly enough.

My mother-in-law has been in this home for two weeks respite and in that time her care has been exceptional in all aspects. Not only has she physically improved, but her well-being and mental health has improved beyond all expectations. Fantastic, thank you all.

The staff are very attentive to the residents. Warm friendly and caring. They have lots of activities which the residents love! The food is of a very high standard as a family we are very happy that we chose Winifred Dell and mum is happy here.

The care and support from the whole team has been excellent. They have satisfied any concerns we've had through the whole admittance and settling period for my parents. Not only this, they've dealt with many things we weren't even aware of, made both Mum and Dad feel at home and all with kindness, understanding

This explains my experience at Winifred Dell Care Home apart from the ratings I have given I must also mention the following day we visited they had a singer entertainer. The ladies who arrange these events do an excellent job. All the carers are very good. Showed excellent care, help and consideration,
brilliant. They deserve full credit and hopefully good pay.

The members of staff at Winifred Dell Care Home are caring, compassionate, and friendly, nothing is too much trouble at the care home which is part of a friendly care service as well as a strong focus on quality training. The management team is always there to listen to feedback from the residents'
families to accommodate the needs of their residents and staff. We have the confidence to report concerns about the care that carers and other professionals give.

Doina has been working in the care sector for 10 years, starting in 2012 as a Care Assistant and being promoted to Senior Carer, Team Leader and Manager by 2017.
