Rivermere Care Home was taken over by Avery Healthcare at the start of 2017, and the new management has quickly set about transforming the fortunes of the home. Rivermere provides residential, respite and dementia care.

The home also welcomes couples and friends who wish to live together.

Situated close to the town of Sevenoaks, the home has been brought into line with the group's overarching care philosophy.

Nestled within a picturesque landscape, the home provides person-centred care for older people and those with dementia and its associated conditions.

Residents are encouraged to take full advantage of the home's facilities which are available to them daily. These include cosy lounges and bistro areas which create the perfect social environment, a beauty salon where residents can treat themselves to a haircut or nail treatment, a well-stocked library to indulge into a book or alternatively a cinema room to a catch a film in. The well-being team host regular activities in the activities lounge where all residents are encouraged to take part.

My grandma has been at Rivermere for over 2 years. She is always so happy (very cheeky!) and very content. This is testament to the staff and surroundings at Rivermere. I used to feel worried and concerned every time I left her at her previous home, but here I know she couldn't be safer. Thank you.

My mum moved in in October 2023 and I was so nervous about the transition, however, I needn't have worried. Every day, when I visit, I am met with a smile and a warm welcome from the reception staff and everyone else I meet in the lift and corridors. Everyone knows Mum by name - a true personal touch.
The
entertainments staff work hard to ensure everyone is included and takes part in the activities (if they wish). The level of care is second to none and it feels we are part of a big Rivermere Care Home family.

As a family, we are delighted that our father is now living at Rivermere. From the very first moment, he has been made to feel very welcome, especially by the wonderful reception team who never fail to smile and make you feel as though you are always welcome. Any little issue reported to reception is
dealt with efficiently. They are invaluable! The care staff are genuinely kind and particularly one, also the maintenance dept is exceptional. Overall I would highly recommend Rivermere for residential care.

On first walking into the Rivermere Care Home it feels like a smart hotel. The sort of place Mum would have liked to stay. The staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly, they are attentive towards the residents and all very happy and cheerful.
The facilities are really first-class and the gardens
are lovely, really nice to sit out in whenever the sun shows itself.
Mum, who has dementia, settled in immediately and is as happy now as I've seen her in a while. She really enjoys all the activities in the home as well as outings that are arranged for the residents.
When we were looking at care homes the primary objective was to find somewhere that would help to improve Mum's quality of life. The Rivermere has certainly delivered so far.

Mum has been at the care home for just over a week residing on the memory floor. She has settled really well, made friends and remarks on how wonderful the staff are, how good the food is and enjoys the activities. The staff have been very supportive to me as a family member and I can relax knowing

A huge thank you to all the staff at Rivermere for making my dad so welcome. Back in February, my dad had a major health scare. This made him reassess where he would like to live going forward. Long story short, having been recommended to Rivermere by friends, we visited the home and were delighted
to find such a wonderful place. Having lived in the same house for over sixty years, we were not sure how my dad would find living in a residential home. But, we have all been delighted by the way he has embraced Rivermere. My dad is ninety-four and, whilst physically the demands of living independently were becoming too much, mentally he is as independent as ever. So, it was important that any home he moved to could provide the right environment. Rivermere has ticked all the boxes. The staff are fantastic. He has a wonderful room with a kitchen area, which allows him to make his own tea and snacks whenever he wishes. The use of the lovely facilities, beautiful garden and being able to watch the test matches in the cinema room is a great plus! Thank you to everyone.

Reception, as a visitor, is always friendly and helpful. My brother is well cared for, comfortably housed and well fed. I have shared meals with him; the standard of food and its presentation is good. I would rate the home highly compared with other care homes I have visited.

When you walk into Rivermere Care Home, it's like walking into a first-class hotel, that's what my husband calls it. The reception staff are most friendly and helpful, and so are the caring staff. The accommodation is very good as is the coffee bar, restaurant and tv room. My husband is very happy to

My primary focus is on maintaining fundamental standards and driving continuous quality improvement, supported by a proven track record in strategic implementation.


I am deeply committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive service culture that enhances the outcomes for residents. Hi, I'm Amy and I am the Residential Care Manager at Rivermere Care Home.
I have been in the Health and Social Care sector since 2010 and have worked in many roles, including Health Care Assistant, Care Co-ordinator, Night Senior Carer and finally Residential Care Manager.
I manage the day-to-day running of the care team on the residential floors and pride myself on a hands-on approach to help create a good work ethic amongst the team and build good relationships between the care staff and our residents.
