Mum has a beautifully appointed apartment on the first floor with great views and a sunny aspect. It was important for her that she could furnish it with all of her own things to make it home from home. She has settled in well and enjoys the wide variety of activities and outings arranged, including the extensive gardens, weather permitting, keep fit, crafting and musical afternoons to name but a few. There are lovely well kept communal areas throughout the home including a cinema, library, coffee shop and dining room which make it feel very special. Staff are very caring, helpful and there is a good homely atmosphere and vibe throughout with visitors always welcome at any time. Importantly she has the companionship and friendship of many other like-minded residents and has made some good friends. Residents are able to live as independently or not as needed which is a real plus. I cannot recommend Rivermere Care Home highly enough if you are looking for residential care for a loved one in the Sevenoaks area.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for your lovely feedback. We are so glad your Mother has settled so well and is happy with our facilities, activities and community. We will pass your kind comments on to the team and thank you again.
I have lunch occasionally at Rivermere with my mother and have enjoyed the choices available. They are all very tasty and beautifully cooked.
Thank you so much for your review and kind words. We are so glad your Mother is settled and happy with us. I will pass all of your lovely comments on to the staff. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.
The staff and facilities are very good and treat my father with the dignity that a 97 year old deserves.
There are regular quarterly meetings held by management with the residents and then later that day with relatives. These meetings keep residents and relatives abreast of issues in the home and forthcoming developments. They also allow residents and relatives to raise any issues or concerns with the running of the home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. We really appreciate your kind words and we are so happy your Father continues to enjoy being here and feels looked after since your Mothers sad passing. We will continue to make life for your father as dignified and supportive as possible. Thank you again for your comments, I will pass these on to the team.
I have been very impressed with the kindnesses and professionalism of the team who care for my wife. She has been treated with respect and dignity throughout her stay at Rivermere. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to others.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so glad you feel your wife is truly cared for. It is also a pleasure for us to look after her. Thank you again for taking the time to send your feedback.
Caring attentive staff in a superb facility with lovely gardens and an excellent atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the helpful carers and other support staff who provide a wealth of activities to keep mind and body in good shape.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home, we are so glad you are happy with the care and facilities. We love the atmosphere in the home and a big part of that is the amazing residents we have. Thanks again for your feedback.
Rivermere Care Home is where my 91-year-old dad is currently. He had a traumatic year last year and my sister and I decided it was time for him to be safe in a home. We went to see a few but this one I loved from the moment I walked in. A beautiful big open welcome reception.. with extremely friendly and competent receptionists. It's warm, smells lovely and he is very well looked after. If we have had any concerns, these are dealt with really quickly and professionally. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. We are super glad your Dad settled in and was cared for by us. Thank you again for the feedback, we will pass it on to the team.
My dad came into your home for holiday respite care whilst family members were on holiday. We were impressed with the care he received however on occasions he did run out of clothes because his dirty clothes had not been laundered. Also, he came home with some clothes that did not belong to him and some of his were missing, even though they were clearly marked. His teeth were not removed at night or cleaned and his hearing aids were not put in correctly, more training is needed. But overall we were happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. We appreciate your feedback and we are glad your Father was happy overall and we will pass your comments to the care team. Thank you again.
Carers are very attentive and provide a very high level of care.
All the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Couldn't have wished for a better transition to care for my aunt.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. We appreciate your great feedback and will pass this on to all of the team. We are so glad your aunt settled in so well and is happy within the home.
I am very impressed with the genuine kindness and cheerfulness of the staff. There is an authentically positive vibe.

From the moment you arrive, Rivermere feels like a home, a caring home. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. The gardens are delightful with easy strolls to a variety of shady places to sit and talk. I am so glad my mother has found a place that feels like home after trying two others.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home, we appreciate the lovely feedback and will pass this on the the team. We look forward to seeing you again!

My grandma has been at Rivermere for over 2 years. She is always so happy (very cheeky!) and very content. This is testament to the staff and surroundings at Rivermere. I used to feel worried and concerned every time I left her at her previous home, but here I know she couldn't be safer. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. We will pass your feedback on the team and we are so happy your grandma is so settled and you are happy with her care. We enjoy your grandmas cheekiness too! Thanks again
As a family, we are delighted that our father is now living at Rivermere. From the very first moment, he has been made to feel very welcome, especially by the wonderful reception team who never fail to smile and make you feel as though you are always welcome. Any little issue reported to reception is dealt with efficiently. They are invaluable! The care staff are genuinely kind and particularly one, also the maintenance dept is exceptional. Overall I would highly recommend Rivermere for residential care.
The entertainments staff work hard to ensure everyone is included and takes part in the activities (if they wish). The level of care is second to none and it feels we are part of a big Rivermere Care Home family.
We have been very happy with Rivermere. Excellent care and we know Dad is safe here.
Mum has been here for 2 and a half years and has settled into her new home very well. The staff are so friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate Mum. Very pleased that Mum came here.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words. We are happy your mother settled in well and you, as a family, are pleased she is with us. See you soon.

Meet the Team (4)

I have over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, having started as a care assistant, becoming a nurse and working my way to management. This has led me to gain a vast amount of experience through my career, which helps support our residents’ needs, ensuring a person-centred approach is provided to all.

Hi, my name is Katie, and I am the Dementia care manager at Rivermere Care Home.
I have been at Rivermere for nearly 5 years and have worked in many different roles, from housekeeper, care assistant, senior care assistant, to care manager.
I oversee the day-to-day running of the Dementia floor to ensure it runs smoothly, and residents have everything they need or would like. I work with my team to create a positive atmosphere and help build relationships between staff and residents. I have a passion for learning more about dementia as new research comes out, and I enjoy passing this knowledge on to my team. I strive to make the floor feel like a home and a family for residents, staff and visitors.
Outside of work, I enjoy going on dog walks with my partner and spending time with my family, especially my nephews.

Rivermere. I've been here fourteen years, and I enjoy getting to know all the residents and their families.
My interests are:
walking, horse-riding, and dancing. I have 4 Grandchildren who keep me young.
I love getting to know new people and look forward to meeting you.

Hi, my name is Elaine, and I am the Well-being & Activities Coordinator at Rivermere. I have worked here since January 2025, having previously worked at Edenbridge Manor as a Well-being & Activities assistant. I love my job and enjoy seeing our residents enjoying themselves in whichever activity they decide to join. I make it my mission every day to make people smile.
Outside of work, I have 2 grown-up children and a gorgeous granddaughter whom I love spending time with and spoiling. I also love music, light gardening, seeing my friends and crafting.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know new residents and welcoming them to Rivermere.
