The facilities are really first-class and the gardens are lovely, really nice to sit out in whenever the sun shows itself.
Mum, who has dementia, settled in immediately and is as happy now as I've seen her in a while. She really enjoys all the activities in the home as well as outings that are arranged for the residents.
When we were looking at care homes the primary objective was to find somewhere that would help to improve Mum's quality of life. The Rivermere has certainly delivered so far.
Excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

My friend was very happy here, they really looked after her.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for your wonderful comments. I will pass these on to the team, which will be greatly appreciated.
Mum has been at the care home for just over a week residing on the memory floor. She has settled really well, made friends and remarks on how wonderful the staff are, how good the food is and enjoys the activities. The staff have been very supportive to me as a family member and I can relax knowing that Mum is in a safe environment getting the very best care she deserves. From the warm, friendly welcome at reception, the laundry staff, to the staff on the floor. Definitely the right move and right place for Mum.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. It is such a pleasure to care for your mum and she has definitely settled straight in! I will pass all your lovely comments on to the team, we really appreciate it.
So good!
Thank you for your lovely review of our home. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again soon, even if it is just for a coffee!
A huge thank you to all the staff at Rivermere for making my dad so welcome. Back in February, my dad had a major health scare. This made him reassess where he would like to live going forward. Long story short, having been recommended to Rivermere by friends, we visited the home and were delighted to find such a wonderful place. Having lived in the same house for over sixty years, we were not sure how my dad would find living in a residential home. But, we have all been delighted by the way he has embraced Rivermere. My dad is ninety-four and, whilst physically the demands of living independently were becoming too much, mentally he is as independent as ever. So, it was important that any home he moved to could provide the right environment. Rivermere has ticked all the boxes. The staff are fantastic. He has a wonderful room with a kitchen area, which allows him to make his own tea and snacks whenever he wishes. The use of the lovely facilities, beautiful garden and being able to watch the test matches in the cinema room is a great plus! Thank you to everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate your lovely feedback. We are so glad your dad has settled in so well and is embracing live at Rivermere. We will pass your comments on to the team, we look forward to continuing to look after your dad and keeping the sports on the cinema for him!
Enjoyed a morning coffee catch up with an old friend. Staff were charming, facilities were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

When you walk into Rivermere Care Home, it's like walking into a first-class hotel, that's what my husband calls it. The reception staff are most friendly and helpful, and so are the caring staff. The accommodation is very good as is the coffee bar, restaurant and tv room. My husband is very happy to live in Rivermere.

My parents moved into residential care at Rivermere recently on the Memory floor. The staff are excellent and settled them in well. My father isn't easy to deal with regard to accepting care but the staff soon gained his confidence. Staff are very approachable and the activity staff do an excellent job. My parents seem happy and contented. Their double room is of a high standard re furnishings and decor with an en suite wet room. Visiting is very flexible. I'm even allowed to take my dog in to visit!

My visit to see my father showed that the staff at Rivermere Care Home care very much for the well-being of the residents. The home itself is very welcoming and with a very tidy and cared for appearance. The food which was served to my father for lunch seemed of high quality. The atmosphere is one of calmness and I was impressed with the overall facility. My only feedback is that the activities seem limited while this is completely understandable with staff recruitment.

Meet the Team (4)

I have over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, having started as a care assistant, becoming a nurse and working my way to management. This has led me to gain a vast amount of experience through my career, which helps support our residents’ needs, ensuring a person-centred approach is provided to all.

Hi, my name is Katie, and I am the Dementia care manager at Rivermere Care Home.
I have been at Rivermere for nearly 5 years and have worked in many different roles, from housekeeper, care assistant, senior care assistant, to care manager.
I oversee the day-to-day running of the Dementia floor to ensure it runs smoothly, and residents have everything they need or would like. I work with my team to create a positive atmosphere and help build relationships between staff and residents. I have a passion for learning more about dementia as new research comes out, and I enjoy passing this knowledge on to my team. I strive to make the floor feel like a home and a family for residents, staff and visitors.
Outside of work, I enjoy going on dog walks with my partner and spending time with my family, especially my nephews.

Rivermere. I've been here fourteen years, and I enjoy getting to know all the residents and their families.
My interests are:
walking, horse-riding, and dancing. I have 4 Grandchildren who keep me young.
I love getting to know new people and look forward to meeting you.

Hi, my name is Elaine, and I am the Well-being & Activities Coordinator at Rivermere. I have worked here since January 2025, having previously worked at Edenbridge Manor as a Well-being & Activities assistant. I love my job and enjoy seeing our residents enjoying themselves in whichever activity they decide to join. I make it my mission every day to make people smile.
Outside of work, I have 2 grown-up children and a gorgeous granddaughter whom I love spending time with and spoiling. I also love music, light gardening, seeing my friends and crafting.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know new residents and welcoming them to Rivermere.
