Acacia Lodge

The care given to Dad and the whole family during his last weeks with us was outstanding. The staff are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after Mum during her visits and we all felt at home.

My father was cared for at Acacia after becoming too elderly and frail to be looked after at home. I found the staff all very kindly whilst at the same time being professional. I would like to thank them for making his final months as comfortable as possible.

Both my parents spent the last 18 months of their lives in Acacia Lodge, where they were tenderly looked after. In the later stages of each of their lives they needed nursing care, which was delivered at a high professional standard, but also with loving care. Every member of staff that I met was courteous and helpful. I cannot praise the level of care highly enough, which was delivered with such a good and understanding nature, even in the most difficult times. All this was especially important to myself and my brother, as we lived a long distance away and needed to feel confident that both parents were well looked after.

With visiting my sister, I have found her to be very happy and very settled. She feels safe and secure.

Any small problems seem to be solved or ironed out as soon as they are bought to the notice of the staff - all in all exceedingly satisfactory.

My mother remains extremely comfortable at Acacia Lodge. She is well looked after, enjoys the food and also the activities.

Caring and compassionate staff sometimes under difficult circumstances. Patients seem comfortable and stimulated in a homely and friendly environment.

Acacia Lodge has become a place of peace and contentment for my father. I will never be able to convey my gratitude enough to the manager and her entire team for the time, care, consideration and kindness they have given to my father who can be challenging to say the least. The staff are incredibly tolerant, understanding and supportive. The manager is always at hand and so very kind and helpful.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming and kind to my mother. She is well looked after and seems safe and happy in Acacia.

A dedicated team of carers who know the residents and their ways - having taken time and care to assess each individual. Due to this it has enabled me to relax knowing my mother is in good hands.

Facilities and helpful staff, all very good. All the staff are so kind, always smiling and ready to help with anything you ask or need so quickly.

My mother-in-law loved Acacia Lodge and made many friends. Sadly she passed away recently and the care staff could not have been more helpful to us at a very sad time. I know that my mother-in-law had many happy times there.

Mum loved it here but sadly died recently. The staff have been wonderful and we are so grateful to them for everything they have done. What a wonderful care home.

Handling the vulnerable and the elderly 24/7 is all about the call of duty. Handling the elderly 24/7 with steadfast patience, attention and affection is above and beyond the call of duty. This is a care home so wonderfully staffed with a kind and skilled team of people that the word care in this organisation should be upgraded to read, 'Acacia Lodge, the MOST CARING of homes'.
