other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

I can't recommend Silversprings Care Home highly enough. We were very lucky that they had a vacancy when our friend needed to have residential care. They were extremely helpful in making all the arrangements for him to move into the home. The staff have always been most courteous and always prepared
to go the extra mile. I have asked our friend numerous times if he is happy there and if he is well looked after and he always replies they are "superb". The home is always lovely and clean and very welcoming with nice alcoves with sofas to sit on and books and magazines to read should you need to wait to see your friend or relative. It is a breath of fresh air. The dining room is set out nicely with tablecloths and looks like a really nice restaurant. The sitting room is also set out nicely - not with chairs around the walls
in a big circle. Much more like home. I would give it top marks.

Very friendly staff; all so welcoming.
The home is clean and tidy.
Lots of activities going on and day trips out.
Very well looked after.
Any questions you need answering, they are there to do so.
Couldn’t have put Mum in a better place.
She looks so cared for - hair done at hairdressers.

My mum was placed in Silver Springs for a period of assessment, after a spell in hospital following a fall. She had been going steadily downhill, health-wise, and ending up in Silver Springs has been the best possible outcome for her.


She has now been diagnosed with vascular dementia, and the specialist

care, along with the facilities at Silver Springs, means that her quality of life is better than it has been for some time.


On a personal level, the staff are brilliant; they really care and Mum feels happy and at home there. I couldn't imagine her doing so well anywhere else!

My nan called this home her palace. She was treated like the Queen by staff and says the food couldn't be faulted. Nan was at the home for 6 week respite care before returning to her own home. I have no doubt if she requires a care home in the future Silversprings will be our first point of call. The
rooms and the grounds are beautiful and tranquil full of wildlife. Her experience even during Covid could not be faulted. Thank you for caring for her so well!

Nice atmosphere inside with excellent garden. Some difficulty in getting through by telephone at present due to my wife's poor eyesight and very little feeling in her fingertips for using a mobile phone. I am trying to place a voice-operated mobile phone.

We placed my aunt at Sliversprings in February, and she immediately settled in. She enjoys social contact, has made new friends, and loves the staff. She has said the food is top-notch. Her health and care needs are being supported to an excellent standard, and we are delighted with the service. The
staff are fantastic - always approachable, and nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic care home setting and team.

My husband has only been at Silversprings for two weeks, so I can't comment on some issues. He has settled well, and the staff are really good with him. He was a photographic journalist, therefore, the staff are producing photos for him to look through. On the whole, so far, I am very happy with the

My stay at "Silverspring" has been very good with support from all the staff in helping me to recover from the serious back injuries that I suffer from. The food has been excellent with a varied menu and a good supply of different vegetables. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

My mum is ok. Her safety and well being are my priority, I and the family are very pleased with the home and the care she is having; it is such a weight off our shoulders knowing that. Now that we can now visit her in her room, it is much better, as she is losing her hearing and sight, it makes visiting

Prior to Covid, I was happy with the overall care, otherwise, we wouldn't have stayed for ten and a half years. After Covid, management seems to have got better, but I cannot form much of an opinion regarding the home itself, unlike when I used to visits almost every day and was moulded with several

My aunt has settled very well having been admitted to Silversprings in February 2021. She had benefitted from the interaction with staff and residents and feels safe and cared for. She enjoys the food, particularly the selection of fresh vegetables etc. It is difficult to comment on the activities as
these are restricted due to the pandemic but does enjoy what is on offer, particularly the opportunity to sit and chat in the garden when weather permits.

Following a stay in the hospital, Silversprings couldn't have been more helpful in assisting with Mums care and residency in Silversprings. Learning that your loved one has to enter a care home fills you with anxiety, guilt, and an awful feeling of responsibility. Often, the review section is the only source of reassurance. I hope ours will help you with your decision.
Our experience has been brief sadly but enriched by the kindness, compassion
and respect that every member of staff showed us. Everyone we came across was kind, had a smile and showed an interest, despite them working through the most challenging of times right now. The accommodation is cosy, clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely, but it is the staff that makes this care home shine. They are dedicated above and beyond. They researched Dad's likes/dislikes, his needs and 'little ways'. The manager and End of Life friend helped us make important decisions so that we could concentrate on him - they made a difficult time, easier. Our wishes for him were carried out in full. We were listened to.

Illness and placement for a family member are always difficult, and with Covid it has added so much extra. We genuinely thank the manager and her team for such a welcome and support before, during and even once placed at Silversprings. The communication has been extrememly important as we live a distance
away and once seeing the rooms and quality of finish it made it feel right. Most importantly is the high standard level of care which shone through in the commitment and concern for all involved. Please Look at this as a potential Possibilty for short Respite or Longer stay, We truly cannot compliment the manager enough at a difficult time.

Silversprings care home has really helped Mum settle in and make her feel at home. When it was her 100th birthday; they couldn't do enough to help her celebrate it, even making her a lovely cake and a glass of wine. We were allowed to visit her on her big day, all socially distanced. The staff were
superb. Mum has adopted them all as part of her family, which in these trying times, is a massive relief for all our family.

Joanne Rix

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2020

I first qualified as a nurse back in 1987 and completed further training in 1992. I then worked in both health and social care, working with adults with learning disabilities, and mental health needs, and also as a manager of two other care homes in Suffolk. I joined Silversprings in 2020 after seeing from the Care UK website how beautiful the home is.


I believe it’s important for the home manager to be approachable, caring, and open with both their team, the families, and also and most importantly the residents that live in the home.


My favourite part of my job is knowing that no one day is the same. I love spending time with the residents and also seeing how the staff engage with them, hearing their stories from their youth and their words of wisdom to the younger generation.


Outside of work spending time with my family is my big love, I have three grown-up children, and a beautiful granddaughter who stays regularly. I also enjoy walking my Labrador, Max, in the countryside around my home. A glass of rosé wine is my favourite tipple after a long day.
