My father went into sunnyview for some respite for 7-8weeks and we couldn't of wished for anything better, ALL staff was welcoming and friendly nothing was too much trouble, various activities for the residents to join in, rooms are beautiful as are the gardens, would definitely recommend and use this if ever needed again.

Well managed and care home with great professional and caring staff.
Only issues are:
Food can be a bit bland, but is good quality. Catering to individual tastes would be great.

Room could be slightly larger, but is adequate and well laid out.

My dad was in sunnyview 12 years ago so when mum couldn't manage on her own at home anymore I knew this was the place for her. I didn't think mum would settle as she is very independent how wrong I was. Mum absolutely loves being at sunnyview she is well taken care of by a lovely caring team. If mum was still at home she would be lonely not at sunnyview the entertainment team are exceptional they make sure all the residents have fun thinking of so many different activities. Today is mothers days I went into the cafe area it was stunning decorations beautiful cakes and my mums tea service being used which I had given them it made my heart melt. My husband and I can now relax knowing mum is safe being looked after by the most caring team.

Overall mum's experience of living at Sunnyview is a positive one. The care does depend a lot on which staff members are on but generally good. The main concern is the food- sometimes is appealing and tasty other times cold and very bland! Need to hold regular relative/management meetings.

I spent 3 weeks in rehab care in your home. It was daunting since I'd always been independent until my hip operation. I was greeted by a family atmosphere and welcomed. Over the period of a few days, I blended into the rest of the residents. Taking part in the various activities available. I was impressed by the care and devotion of the staff; the entertainers inject a lively atmosphere for all patients. I left with a broader outlook on care homes. Hopefully, I will remain healthy, but good to know such places exist.

I found Sunnyview after mum's usual respite place was full. The staff there have been superb. From my first phone call with the lovely receptionist who showed me around (I can't remember her name) Sue who deals with finance was very friendly and answered all my questions as was David who came out to assess mum.

She was in for two weeks and I had no issues am hoping I can get her back in for Christmas

My mother has been resident in the care home for around seven months, and this time I have found the staff to be very caring, not only to my mother but also taking time to support family members when we needed a shoulder. The care home is a hive of activity, no matter what time you visit, with activities for the residents and staff continually cleaning or preparing meals, etc. My father stayed here before he passed, and because of his experience, there was only one place for my mother when she needed extra help.

The staff were all so kind, considerate & really took care of mum. She was treated as an individual and her needs were met. The living area was cosy & well kept and it suited her for the time she was there. It was only temporary for mum but I would have no reservations moving her back in if her needs changed.

My dad has been a resident on the nursing level since January 2025 , I feel the care he receives from both the carers and the nurses is very good ,I visit every day but at different times of the day and I always find dad clean and well presented. I feel The management are always approachable and have dealt with any concerns I have had immediately. Dad doesn't join in with any activities but there is always things going on for residents as I pass through . Overall sunny view is a very friendly place and all the staff from reception, office , medical and management are very welcoming.

Our mum was in Sunnyveiw for 2.5 years. The care mum received was overall very good. If we raised any concerns they were addressed quickly. The staff are amazing on both Kirkstall and Carnegie floors. The new management does need improvement and more stability. Needs to listen to the staff more, and not make huge unessessary changes that affect the staff's wellbeing. the carers and other staff who care day to day for the residents are amazing and do not get the recognition that they deserve. A shout out to 13 members of staff. All amazing and looked after mum until she passed away in March 2025.

It was my mother's Centenary birthday last week. The team at Sunnyview House not only threw an amazing party for her and the residents, they decorated a lounge so we could celebrate as a family with her in the morning.
Members of staff who were on leave that day even came in especially to wish Mum Happy Birthday. What a special group of people they all are.
The level of care my Mum receives in Sunnyview House is amazing. Personal, medical and social.
As a family, we are made to feel so welcome. The home is always clean and fresh, the staff well presented and the atmosphere is calm and happy. At times mad too, the social occasions are terrific. The families are always invited.

I cannot thank the management and staff enough. The Sunnyview House Care Home is aptly named Sunny, care and a feeling of home.
