As a family, we were introduced to Ashworth Grange late summer 2018 and what a difference it has made to our family. I feel safe because my husband is safe happy and contented. They have allowed him to display his pots from his collection in the vestibule also arranging for him to have a study so he
can create, how many homes do that? When I go home I feel happy so does the rest of the family.

After much research around the care homes that could cater to my mum's needs, I finally settled on Ashworth Grange. The moment I walked in to look around, I was impressed with the home, the facilities and the staff (I arrived unannounced) and I am so glad I choose this home. It was a big decision for
me to make and not without a suitable amount of guilt. Mum moved to Ashworth Grange in October and settled very quickly, with encouragement from the staff she joined in the activities which she has thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms are of a good size and can easily be made a 'home from home' with personal possessions. The staff are lovely and great at what they do, nothing is too much trouble for them. Mum tells me the food is really nice, so hats off to the catering staff as mum is hard to please and will let you know if it's not up to standard. The management is 2nd to none, always approachable, the manageress is a star. I can sleep easier knowing mum is looked after and is safe, 5* rating, thank you.

From first entry, staff were friendly and welcoming to all our family on our first visit to Ashworth Grange. They threw a lovely 80th tea for my gran in the cafe area, the spread was amazing and very much appreciated by us. A massive well done to all and keep up the good work.

We actually enjoy visiting our Mum, at your care home. We leave happy and knowing Mum is safe, in good hands. It is clean, pleasant and the staff are friendly, also helpful. Mum has been at Ashworth Grange for 12 months and has settled in really well. I asked mum how staff are here and what she thought of Ashworth Grange. Mum said everyone is lovely and kind and support her well. Her room is nice and the atmosphere good and liked that she can join in with the activities
with other residents or spend time in her room. I am happy that the time mum has been in care at Ashworth Grange her health and wellbeing has improved and I can trust staff to give mum the best care, treated with dignity and is in a safe, clean and friendly environment.

Enjoyable. Staff helpful. The food is alright not marvellous. If you feel tired you can rest.
Nice to listen to sing along with the good singers who visit.
Lovely gardens. Nice to have hair done regularly. Comfortable at night. Feel ok here.

Mam has been in nearly 12 months and from day one I told staff I would take mam's washing home and do it myself. Despite 2 notices in her room, clothes have gone missing and they still take her washing to the laundry. My brother and I have told the staff on lots of occasions but it seems to fall on
deaf ears.

My Dad has been a resident since June 2017. I feel he has really settled in and the care he receives in absolutely fantastic. My Dad is prone to pneumonia and the staff are really on the ball to see he starting with chest infections and the Doctor is called immediately. This puts my mind and the rest
of the family's at rest. The home is absolutely spot on in all aspects. All the staff are caring and the activities are non-stop. I wouldn't have my Dad anywhere else.

Since the day we came to visit, Ashworth Grange has been clean, had friendly staff and plenty to keep the residents busy.
Our mum is well looked after and the carers go out of their way to care for them and treat them like they would their own family.
If anyone has an 'accident' the carpet cleaner
comes straight out.
We once brought mum back from hospital late at night and when we got there all the chairs in the main area were being cleaned thoroughly ready for the next day.
It is very easy for people who fill in forms to say what they do but until they have a loved one staying in the home they won't understand the love and support the residents receive.
Regardless of the CQC reports, I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else.

The staff are warm and friendly and alert to residents needs. The staff have always readily responded to any requests I have made. The home is light, clean and cosy. Activities in the home are very good but I am not sure if there are enough activities. Similarly, I do not think enough outings take place.
In an ideal world, then there would be more staff. The staff are excellent in their treatment and care of residents, showing sympathy and empathy and are always good humoured in what can be a very demanding job. The staff put on excellent activities. My one concern is that my mum won't make her needs known - eg for a drink of water, a tissue, a cardigan. I have requested that the staff be alert to this - not sure this always happens.

My father has settled into Ashworth Grange very well. He has regained some confidence knowing that he is safe and cared for 24 hours a day. He looks stronger than when he first arrived. He tells us he likes the staff and that they look after him well. From a family point of view we feel happy when we
leave hin in the caring environment we sense when we visit. The staff make us feel welcome anytime.

My aunt has previously been admitted to Ashworth Grange for respite care while her husband was in hospital in 2015. Following my uncles death my aunt came to live at Ashworth Grange in May 2016. The manager and staff are friendly and helpful and my aunt appears happy and well cared for.
