I find the care home very nice and the staff are lovely to mum. Since she has been in here mum is a lot happier and knowing mum is cared for 24hrs and knowing she is safe. I would highly recommend this care home to stay. Mum has plenty of company and they do lots of activities which is very good, the food is very good too. Excellent service and highly recommend it to anyone.

When our family had to look for a new care home for Dad last October. We were lucky that Ashworth Grange were re-opening a new wing and had availability to care for Dad.
This has turned out to be a good decision for the family.
The ward is kept clean, the carers are fantastic with Dad. The home have activities on every day as well as taking residents out occasionally.

Dad recently went on a barge trip with lunch and this week is going to be a sensory farm. Our family is very happy with the facilities and the way Dad is treated.

As a family, we were introduced to Ashworth Grange late summer 2018 and what a difference it has made to our family. I feel safe because my husband is safe happy and contented. They have allowed him to display his pots from his collection in the vestibule also arranging for him to have a study so he can create, how many homes do that? When I go home I feel happy so does the rest of the family.

After much research around the care homes that could cater to my mum's needs, I finally settled on Ashworth Grange. The moment I walked in to look around, I was impressed with the home, the facilities and the staff (I arrived unannounced) and I am so glad I choose this home. It was a big decision for me to make and not without a suitable amount of guilt. Mum moved to Ashworth Grange in October and settled very quickly, with encouragement from the staff she joined in the activities which she has thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms are of a good size and can easily be made a 'home from home' with personal possessions. The staff are lovely and great at what they do, nothing is too much trouble for them. Mum tells me the food is really nice, so hats off to the catering staff as mum is hard to please and will let you know if it's not up to standard. The management is 2nd to none, always approachable, the manageress is a star. I can sleep easier knowing mum is looked after and is safe, 5* rating, thank you.

From first entry, staff were friendly and welcoming to all our family on our first visit to Ashworth Grange. They threw a lovely 80th tea for my gran in the cafe area, the spread was amazing and very much appreciated by us. A massive well done to all and keep up the good work.

We actually enjoy visiting our Mum, at your care home. We leave happy and knowing Mum is safe, in good hands. It is clean, pleasant and the staff are friendly, also helpful. We don't feel afraid to ask questions. The care plan has been gone through. We are asked if anything can be added or if we are happy. We can't complain about anything. We are happy Mum is in a good place.

Mum has been at Ashworth Grange for 12 months and has settled in really well. I asked mum how staff are here and what she thought of Ashworth Grange. Mum said everyone is lovely and kind and support her well. Her room is nice and the atmosphere good and liked that she can join in with the activities with other residents or spend time in her room. I am happy that the time mum has been in care at Ashworth Grange her health and wellbeing has improved and I can trust staff to give mum the best care, treated with dignity and is in a safe, clean and friendly environment.

Mam has been in nearly 12 months and from day one I told staff I would take mam's washing home and do it myself. Despite 2 notices in her room, clothes have gone missing and they still take her washing to the laundry. My brother and I have told the staff on lots of occasions but it seems to fall on deaf ears.

My Dad has been a resident since June 2017. I feel he has really settled in and the care he receives in absolutely fantastic. My Dad is prone to pneumonia and the staff are really on the ball to see he starting with chest infections and the Doctor is called immediately. This puts my mind and the rest of the family's at rest. The home is absolutely spot on in all aspects. All the staff are caring and the activities are non-stop. I wouldn't have my Dad anywhere else.

Overall Experience
Since the day we came to visit, Ashworth Grange has been clean, had friendly staff and plenty to keep the residents busy.
Our mum is well looked after and the carers go out of their way to care for them and treat them like they would their own family.
If anyone has an 'accident' the carpet cleaner comes straight out.
We once brought mum back from hospital late at night and when we got there all the chairs in the main area were being cleaned thoroughly ready for the next day.
It is very easy for people who fill in forms to say what they do but until they have a loved one staying in the home they won't understand the love and support the residents receive.

Regardless of the CQC reports, I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else.
