My mum came for respite care for two weeks as she was struggling and lonely at home. She decided to stay an extra two weeks, which was fabulous for myself and my sister as we knew she was safe and well cared for.

My husband has been to Ashworth Grange around 5 times after being at another care home for 11 years. He comes around every 6 weeks for a week's respite to give me a break. The home and staff are lovely, very professional, caring and nothing is too much trouble. They ring me to reassure me and as he

My dad has been here for 2 1/2 years now. He is happy, cherished, well cared for, and stimulated. The carers are warm and caring and treat my dad like family. The home itself is always clean and smells nice. I wish there was a better system for visiting rather than a first come first served basis and
I wish I could bring my dog into the home to see my dad - he loves dogs and this would make him happier.

Mum went into respite initially but due to deterioration became a permanent resident. We are extremely happy with her care. She has settled in well and is very happy, well looked after, and joins the multitude of activities regularly. The staff, managers are brilliant with Mum and it is very reassuring
to see her thrive. She has lots of friends and a good social interaction. Cannot fault the care home.

My father was finding it hard to live independently and matters were brought to a head when he had an accident at home which made that impossible. As he had always insisted he wished to remain at home, no matter what, I was concerned he would not adapt to living in a care home. However, the opposite
has proved to be the case, thanks to the staff, and I have not seen him happier or healthier for some time. Although not the cheapest, I would recommend anyone looking for a care home to consider Ashworth Grange.

I have always found Ashworth Grange to be an excellent care home. The staff are really friendly and supportive. The gardens are wonderful outdoor space for residents and visitors. The standards of the rooms and other areas of the home are excellent. Ashworth Grange is a really good home from home.

My only disappointment is regarding mum's hearing aid. It has been lost - both private hearing aid which cost £2,300 and then her NHS hearing aid. Meaning now she has been without a hearing aid for 6 months and cannot hear as deaf in both ears.

Lovely room and equipment, food was very tasty. All safety during COVID put in place and they tried their best for us to visit. Her clothes were washed and personal care given each day that she was happy with. Medication not given on the morning of discharge. Seem a friendly team.

We would like to thank everyone at Ashworth Grange for looking after my mother-in-law over the last, almost 6 years. You took over what we struggled to do as a family, which was to look after and keep her safe, so this is a thank you to all involved, from cleaning to management. Over the years we have
seen the love and care she got from you all, the nicknames you called her, and the loving words you spoke to her. The way you encouraged her to do things, without getting frustrated. You are very special people doing a really difficult job. Knowing that she was safe and well in a clean, comfortable, and welcoming home was a relief, especially over the last very difficult year. Whenever we came to visit we were made very welcome, with cups of tea, biscuits, and banter. In the last few days of her life, your compassion and empathy were exemplary. Her environment was really calm with soothing music and I would like to thank you for the care you also showed to me.
