Mum sadly passed away at Ashworth Grange on the 21st of March 2022. She received outstanding care and compassion from all the staff, as did all the family members who were able to visit in the weeks before she passed. We are grateful to the two members of staff who sat with her as she passed away - this was very thoughtful and respectful. We thank you all for your support during Mum's stay with you.

My mum came for respite care for two weeks as she was struggling and lonely at home. She decided to stay an extra two weeks, which was fabulous for myself and my sister as we knew she was safe and well cared for.

My husband has been to Ashworth Grange around 5 times after being at another care home for 11 years. He comes around every 6 weeks for a week's respite to give me a break. The home and staff are lovely, very professional, caring and nothing is too much trouble. They ring me to reassure me and as he is a very private person they totally understand and treat him with respect and great care.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate how important communication is, especially when you are away from a loved one, so it is lovely to hear that staff have continued to update you on your husband’s care during his stays with us. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team at Ashworth Grange.

My dad has been here for 2 1/2 years now. He is happy, cherished, well cared for, and stimulated. The carers are warm and caring and treat my dad like family. The home itself is always clean and smells nice. I wish there was a better system for visiting rather than a first come first served basis and I wish I could bring my dog into the home to see my dad - he loves dogs and this would make him happier.
Thank you for sharing your experience of Ashworth Grange. It is so reassuring to hear your Dad is enjoying living with us and he has settled in well. I will pass on your lovely comments to the staff at Ashworth Grange. I would be more than happy to ask the Home Manager to speak with you regarding our visiting procedure.

Mum went into respite initially but due to deterioration became a permanent resident. We are extremely happy with her care. She has settled in well and is very happy, well looked after, and joins the multitude of activities regularly. The staff, managers are brilliant with Mum and it is very reassuring to see her thrive. She has lots of friends and a good social interaction. Cannot fault the care home.

My father was finding it hard to live independently and matters were brought to a head when he had an accident at home which made that impossible. As he had always insisted he wished to remain at home, no matter what, I was concerned he would not adapt to living in a care home. However, the opposite has proved to be the case, thanks to the staff, and I have not seen him happier or healthier for some time. Although not the cheapest, I would recommend anyone looking for a care home to consider Ashworth Grange.
