My dad spent almost two years at Ashworth Grange before he passed away this month. As a family, we can’t put into words the thanks we have for the staff. An end-of-life care plan was put in place in consultation with the family. We visited and stayed with Dad all day and some nights. His care was outstanding. We were offered all meals whilst with him and given wonderful emotional support as well.
Dad had wonderful care during his time at Ashworth Grange. The staff are compassionate and caring. It’s not just a care home; it’s a loving, warm family.

Thank you.

Firstly, we are so sorry for your loss; your dad was a well-loved resident and is sadly missed. Thank you for allowing us to support him and you; the relationships made in the home are truly special, and it’s a privilege to be able to be there for families. We will remember your dad fondly, and...

My sister seems very happy living here at Ashworth Grange Care Home. I find the staff very helpful, pleasant and caring.
We are just sat having morning tea and cakes which are extremely nice.

Each time we visit we get asked if we would like a drink which after travelling to get here is very welcoming.

My mum stayed for respite for two weeks in June. The experience was easy and smooth. All staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and caring. My mum enjoyed her time here and all of the activities provided. In fact, when we got home, she asked if she could go back! Thank you so much for making a stressful period, a positive one!

Ashworth Grange has been great with my Mum. They were fantastic with communication when first deciding to move her here and welcomed her with open arms. It's such a huge peace of mind knowing she is safe and well here and she is thriving since moving in.

Review from D P (Respite Resident) published on 17 July 2023 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I was in Ashworth Grange for two weeks in May and found the home clean and airy with most members of staff pleasant and obliging. The cook tried to purchase requested items of food for individual residents and the hairdresser worked very hard during her two-morning visits. However, there were boring mornings with no activities and the film each week was a DVD of archaic choice. The food only satisfactory had very little fish or roast meat on the menu and practically no fresh fruit was provided.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Ashworth Grange

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, we value all feedback. We absolutely take on board any comments about our menus and are pleased to confirm that we have a newly appointed kitchen manager and after liaising with residents, has created new menus including both fish and roast meat....

My dad has been visiting Ashworth Grange for the last couple of years for respite care to give Mum a rest every few months. The staff here are exceptional and really do care. They are welcoming, helpful and go above and beyond for both their residents guests and family visiting. As a family, it really does give us peace of mind that Dad is being well cared for. The rooms are lovely and spacious and bright and clean.

Warm and welcome on arrival. Nice and light airy feel with lovely decor. Love the personalised door, nice and colourful. Plenty of facilities, we visited the cafe for coffee morning, how cute!

All staff seem happy and and talkative, very clean, immaculate and homely. Smells lovely (doesn't small like other nursing homes I visited). Can see time and effort been applied.

When visiting my mother-in-law, she's usually well dressed and cared for. She's happy and only occasionally in r bad mood, Everyone is kind and caring when dealing with her. We only have occasional problems with false teeth. Otherwise no problems, We wouldn't want her anywhere else. Excellent entertainment too.
