Well kept care home in pleasant surroundings. Well managed and staff appear dedicated and well trained. Excellent menus with choice, and housekeeping services very good. Rooms are pleasant and spacious. All staff are friendly and approachable. Excellent team who are dedicated to providing residents
with entertainment in varying forms on a regular basis. Management and senior staff operate an open door policy to discuss any issues. Staff specifically trained in dementia care.

My nan lives here on the upstairs floor. The staff are so lovely and will always go the extra mile for you, kind and considerate. I know my nan is loved and cared for here, it is like 1 big family.

All staff of the care home - care workers, receptionists, catering, gardeners etc are unfailingly kind, courteous and supportive in every way. I have peace of mind knowing that my brother has 24-hour care.

Mum came for a week's respite care. It was the first time Mum had been away from me in 18 months and she and I were really apprehensive.
All the staff were so welcoming and reassuring, answering all questions openly. Mum was very settled within no time and has thoroughly enjoyed her time here.

care has been excellent and will definitely be returning.

My mum became a resident in February - she has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. She has settled in well due to the care and attention of the staff. She has gained weight (which is good as she is very slim) and this is due to the good quality food! She has lots of stimulation provided by the wide range
of activities provided and when my father passed away on 9/3/17 the staff were so kind and lovely not only to my mum but also to me - it is a lovely place for my mum.

We could not find any other home to provide care for my sister. There is a warmth and understanding by all, not only for patients but also relatives, which is so helpful. So often we (relatives) do not know how to handle situations and Avery are prepared to guide us as to how best to deal with issues
created by the relative in care. this in my opinion is so very important.

We are happy overall with the service and car provided for our mother who has been a resident on Horse Fairs Dementia floor for 3+ years.


Recently I am slightly concerned with the turnover rate of senior care staff on the unit. I appreciate that individual staff members need to progress in their

careers but we seem to lose some for the best team members quite frequently. Leading to a lack of adequate supervision of more junior carers.
