Mum took a while to settle and had some health issues which have hopefully been sorted. All the staff have been brilliant and so helpful would recommend to anyone.

Thank you to the caring staff for taking such good care of my auntie during her respite stay. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and I would highly recommend this home for anyone needing care. They kept me informed and she said the food was lovely and enjoyed mixing with others with the activities. Thank you all.

My great aunt recently stayed at Horse Fair Care Home following a hospital admission. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention they gave her. She said the food was great with lots of choices and she enjoyed being able to socialise with residents and staff after a long period of being on her own at home due to covid. The staff even took her out in the garden where she enjoyed taking part in a challenge the home were doing for Captain Tom. She was so pleased with her room said it was like a hotel and from start to finish, the communication was great and allowed us all a well earnt rest! We could rest knowing she was so well cared for. Her confidence and overall wellbeing has increased so much. Thanks again to all the staff you are doing a fantastic job and I would recommend this home to anyone.

Following an appointment for a pod visit with my sister, a staff member was waiting to welcome us and complete relevant Covid procedures. She escorted us to the pod during which time the friendly staff member told us a little about Dad's morning. We asked to speak to someone regarding taking Dad out of the setting, if he would cope and how it might impact him. After our visit, a senior staff member met us and had a lengthy and candid chat with us. This was very reassuring and much appreciated.

Mum's first stay at Horse Fair and first respite stay. On visiting midway through her two-week stay she seemed very relaxed and calm and happy to continue staying.

Welcoming and friendly, the staff here have been very supportive during my visit. Whenever I visit, my nan always appears happy and well cared for.

The home is always clean and tidy, workers are always very nice.

My mother is happy at Horse Fair Care Home because the staff show her kindness, love and brilliant care. Staff communicate with me about any changes in Mum's condition and I feel she is very safe here. Mum's also enjoying the brilliant activities and lovely food.

My friend needs staff to go into her more so she has somebody to talk to, she gets lonely but won't ask for help often. We feel the care given is good but also feel that things like bath and hair dos should be done more frequently without people having to ask.

My Gran seems to be settling in well; she states the food is very good, the staff are all lovely, and the rooms are very nice. I can't comment on inside the building because of the Covid situation.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Horse Fair. The staff are so very caring and always go the extra mile in all their duties. Mum is very well looked after and her needs are always met.

I have found all staff professional and always helpful. I'm confident that my dad is exceptionally well looked after.

Mum was at Horse Fair for 18 months. Day to day care given was average but there were so many issues I wouldn't recommend the home. There were regularly problems with the repeat prescription system. Sometimes medications weren't re-ordered in time and ran out. One bank holiday weekend when she was out of pain killers I problem-solved the issue myself as the Senior in charge didn't know what to do. One morning I visited she didn't get any breakfast and during another visit, she wasn't served tea. I constantly worried about what happened on the days I didn't visit. She had 5/6 hospital admissions whilst there, each time she was severely dehydrated. The most serious incident that left Mum severely shocked was a verbal/physical altercation with a carer. A planned move to a Nursing Home was brought forward, we moved her immediately to ensure her safety.

Just over a year ago, when we decided to send my mother to Horse Fair, the place struck us as clean and welcoming with a comprehensive care package in place. Yesterday, when she celebrated her 106th birthday, it became evident that all the staff had made an extraordinary effort to make the occasion special for her, for the rest of the residents and for us as family. We couldn't praise them more highly for the organisation of the day. However, what struck us more than anything was seeing her with her carers now: there is a close and trusting relationship between them. I am sure this is the reason that mother has settled into Horse Fair so well and why she is very happy there.

I do not need two hundred words to describe the attitude of the staff from the manager, deputy manager, senior carers, welfare carers, hostess, cleaners, laundry, kitchen, reception and maintenance worker. They all have a positive attitude and show care and understanding to each resident. Many visitors I have spoken to have commented on the cleanliness and attitude of all staff. Not anyone can add more to my comments only more praise and thanks.

The home keeps me well informed of Mum health and wellbeing and activities going on. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. They are reassuring to my mum, who is suffering from dementia. Very pleased with the home.

Since my mother came to stay at Horse Fair Care Home she has been well looked after. The staff are amazing and so caring. In recent months in this pandemic my mother contracted COVID-19, she has since made a full recovery and I think this is partly due to the care she has received from your staff. The meals are also of excellent quality and the care home is always lovely and clean. I would like to thank everyone at the care home for all of their excellent service from cleaners to management and all. Thank you.
