Mum was at Horse Fair for 18 months. Day to day care given was average but there were so many issues I wouldn't recommend the home. There were regularly problems with the repeat prescription system. Sometimes medications weren't re-ordered in time and ran out. One bank holiday weekend when she was out
of pain killers I problem-solved the issue myself as the Senior in charge didn't know what to do. One morning I visited she didn't get any breakfast and during another visit, she wasn't served tea. I constantly worried about what happened on the days I didn't visit. She had 5/6 hospital admissions whilst there, each time she was severely dehydrated. The most serious incident that left Mum severely shocked was a verbal/physical altercation with a carer. A planned move to a Nursing Home was brought forward, we moved her immediately to ensure her safety.

Just over a year ago, when we decided to send my mother to Horse Fair, the place struck us as clean and welcoming with a comprehensive care package in place. Yesterday, when she celebrated her 106th birthday, it became evident that all the staff had made an extraordinary effort to make the occasion
special for her, for the rest of the residents and for us as family. We couldn't praise them more highly for the organisation of the day. However, what struck us more than anything was seeing her with her carers now: there is a close and trusting relationship between them. I am sure this is the reason that mother has settled into Horse Fair so well and why she is very happy there.

I do not need two hundred words to describe the attitude of the staff from the manager, deputy manager, senior carers, welfare carers, hostess, cleaners, laundry, kitchen, reception and maintenance worker. They all have a positive attitude and show care and understanding to each resident. Many visitors
I have spoken to have commented on the cleanliness and attitude of all staff. Not anyone can add more to my comments only more praise and thanks.

The home keeps me well informed of Mum health and wellbeing and activities going on. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. They are reassuring to my mum, who is suffering from dementia. Very pleased with the home.

Since my mother came to stay at Horse Fair Care Home she has been well looked after. The staff are amazing and so caring. In recent months in this pandemic my mother contracted COVID-19, she has since made a full recovery and I think this is partly due to the care she has received from your staff. The
meals are also of excellent quality and the care home is always lovely and clean. I would like to thank everyone at the care home for all of their excellent service from cleaners to management and all. Thank you.

My mum was in this care home from the end of July 2018 to mid-November 2019, at which point we were lucky enough find a new care home had been built in Stafford and within two weeks we were able to move Mum out of Horse Fair and into a better care home. There is too much for me to explain all that went
wrong at this care home or how she was treated but if your loved one means the world to you do not put them in this home.

My Mum went into Horse Fair Care Home Dec 2019. From the very first time I stepped through the door, I felt it was the right place for my mum to be. The member of staff on reception welcomed us and was very professional, we were then introduced to a member of staff and shown around the home. I was very
impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of all the staff. The residents all looked so happy and at ease. All the staff here are wonderful and even I feel I've gained a new family and I can't thank them all enough for the care that they give my mum.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a distressing time for everyone and for me, with a family member in care, there have been intense feelings of guilt. Over the past three months, my Mum has had the paramedics called out three times and made two hospital visits when I could not support her. The staff at
Horse Fair have been truly fantastic throughout, keeping me appraised of her situation, adapting her living conditions accordingly and nurturing her back to better health. During this upsetting period of time the carers have not only performed their usual functions but taken on the role of friend and family whilst we are unable to do so. I am extremely grateful to everyone.

The building and furnishings are new and are to a high standard. Dining and lounge areas are laid out like hotel facilities. The bedrooms are spacious, well furnished and have ensuite shower rooms. The staff exhibit patience and genuinely care about the welfare of the residents. The residents are treated

The staff are doing an excellent job of keeping not only my father safe but every other resident.

Horse Fair is not just a care home, it and the staff really care about the friendly and efficient love they give - it is just like one happy family home. Nothing is too much trouble, and all the staff really care, both for the resident and their relatives. It is a hard decision to put a relative into
care, but I have has no regret at all that Horse Fair provides just won needed. Well done to you all.

Horse Fair Care Home provides a safe balanced environment that offers comfort tailored care and community for all.
Management and staff are considerate at all times. Ultimately this is a business with commercial considerations, hence the above-average fees that apply. A loyalty discount should be
considered as there are other providers that provide similar services and its a buyers market.

The nursing staff and front of house have been excellent in ensuring that my next of kin stays safe and is as happy as possible.
The accommodation is as close to home as you can get and everyone goes out of their way to be polite and give Horse Fair a homely feel.
