Staff all very friendly. It's a shame staff are so rushed off their feet, sometimes, even just a little bit of chat goes a long way for the residents who sit for hours in between their relatives visiting. Some don't have anyone at all. Having has past dealings with care homes, however, I'd say Hawthorn Court has to be one of the best.

It's a hard decision to make putting a relative into a care home. I would recommend Hawthorn Court.

Words cannot express how I feel about the care my mother received in her 4 years at Hawthorn Court. Wonderful, caring staff. Fantastic care. A true five-star facility. Not only did they make Mam's last few years a pleasant experience they also made the family feel as friends.

The manager and her team are truly wonderful folks who genuinely care.

Mam could not have wished for a better place to spend her twilight years. Immaculate premises and fantastic staff!

Dad went into the home in April but was diagnosed with a terminal illness in May. Everyone in the home was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, whatever dad needed, they got him. The care they gave to dad was brilliant, everything was in his best interest and comfort -

whether it was changing meals, upgrading his bed, keeping him clean and shaved, making him laugh. They really cared about and it shows. Not only were they good with dad when things were difficult but they also looked after us, the family. We can't thank them enough.

I am very happy with the care that my Mum receives at Hawthorn Court. The carers are all pleasant and helpful and management is very efficient. All questions and requests are dealt with promptly and well. The rooms and lounges are all comfortable and clean with lovely views over the gardens and footpaths where my Mum can see families passing on their way to and from school etc. It is very reassuring to know that my Mum is safe, happy and well cared for.

The staff are very caring and considerate and provide a good atmosphere for the residents. My mother in law is relatively happy here at Hawthorn Court in Hebburn and seems to interact with the carers ok. She is kept neat and tidy although I think she could benefit from more baths which she does love. I realise this is down to staff availability and a number of residents in the home.

A few of her belongings do go missing from time to time and the staff do make an effort to find them. I realise this is due to the nature of some of the residents. All in all, I am satisfied with her care.

Excellent staff and accommodation. Since Dad has been in the home we have not really had any complaints. You are always made welcome and staff are on the ball if there is anything wrong with Dad and they get straight in touch. They have done everything in their power to make dad welcome and comfortable. Would highly recommend to other families.

Our mam is happy and well cared for. Staff are generally attentive and caring, Mam likes them.
Mostly when we raise issues they are dealt with but occasionally it takes a few reminder e.g lost glasses. Staff try their best to keep her room clean it is well kept.

On the whole, we feel happy that mam is here and we would recommend it highly to others.
