My dad was here for 2 months after being discharged from the hospital with dementia. It is shocking they have a good rating. I waited over 15 minutes to get in once and had to call them to say I'm at the door. There is an office with a window which can see you arrive at the front door and many times
they see me buzzing and just let me wait before they come out to let me in. When they eventually let you in they don't even say hello, just open the door and walk off. I asked one of the workers what's it like working here and she said "It is bad" I wish she lied but she couldn't even do that for me. My dad fell a lot when he first got there and had bruises, they said he was trying to sit down and missed the chair. It's hard to say if they were abusing him or not because he would do this sometimes but they should be helping him sit down. The food is worse than school dinners. They don't do any activities, they make them all sit in the lounge all day while heavily drugged up. They lost many of his items.

We have had an excellent experience at Bradford Lane. The staff are all very friendly and willing to discuss the process of assessment. I feel that Dad is very well looked after and is very safe.

Christmas was always going to be different this year for all of us. We were anxious and not sure if we'd even feel 'Christmassy', how wrong we were! The effort to transform not only the entrance hall but all areas into a wonderful, festive, cosy 'home from home' was quite staggering. Christmas day every
single member of staff ensured that residents and their families had special memories to treasure. The arrival of Santa with a personal gift for residents we found especially touching. A superb team effort, led by a management team who care passionately.

My friend has been at Bromford Lane Care Centre since 2022, she enjoys the meals, activities shows and bingo games. She loves the supermarket trips and having freedom to choose shopping. Really goo idea to do the supermarket trips. No complaints from me, lovely setting, nice staff.

While my dad has been in the home, he has had care he needed and help with health when he was ill, all his family were made welcome, his doctor explained his situation to us all. Whenever there were drinks for the residents, we were all given one. Even when he was ill they still tried to maintain his
food and drinks and medication, even when he tried to push them away.

I am extremely thankful of the EAB staff for looking after my father, I know he was difficult. EAB staff went above and beyond to care for him. The home is always smelling nice and clean. It's never been too much for the EAB manager/deputy to support my father's long-term placement, he is now settled,
they were always free to help out when we need. I would recommend the home. Thank you Bromford Lane Care Centre, EAB team.

My partner has been a resident at Bromford Lane Care Centre for over nine months and after a difficult start, he has settled in very well mainly due to the caring and patience of the staff and management involved in his care and general well-being.
The meals and accommodation etc. are excellent but
it is only recently that I have become so aware of the many activities provided by the activities co-ordinator and others.
I was there for an hour today with my partner at the Halloween party organised solely for the entertainment of the residents and relatives etc. and I was so impressed with the way it was organised and presented with karaoke, costumes, party hats/masks and lots of dancing. Residents' faces lit up when they were asked to get up and dance or take the mic and sing. The word inclusiveness was made for times like this with everyone encouraged to take part (only if they wanted to which the majority of this well-attended event did).

As a retired GP, I have come across a number of nursing and rest homes, and the care I saw for my father for the 12 months to June 2023 was second to none.
Carers took as much time with him as he needed when he was struggling to feed, kept him comfortable when he became bedbound, and the whole demeanour
of the unit was one of genuine concern for his well-being.
Even when he was brought back from the hospital as an “end of life”, his carers did all they could to nurse him back to health.
I felt confident on days when we couldn’t be there that he was in the best of hands.

Mom was moved to Bromford Lane for assessment (EAB), whilst there she was treated very well. As she has dementia the care and nursing staff were always compassionate and caring. The room she had was clean and bright with a wonderful view of the garden, which had an Avery and a chicken coop, which Mom
loved looking at. The quality of the food was superb, with consistent encouragement given to Mom to eat. She was always dressed in clean clothes as the home's laundry service was superb. The nursing staff looked after Mom very well and were always available to discuss her progress. Mom was looked after very well and I fully recommend Bromford Lane.

I am writing to complain about Bromford Lane Care Centre.
My partner was taken to the care home from hospital, I thought he was going for a few weeks so we brought him clothes he had at the hospital. The next day, I took a bag of clothes, I never saw those clothes again, I was very upset, so was my
partner. Complained to the staff and the manager, I was offered £50 which I accepted. Manager ignored me. Was treated very badly.

My aunty went to Bromford Lane Care Centre from hospital, she wasn’t very well. From the moment she went there, the care home staff were kind and helpful. They provide a caring environment and are always supportive to myself and my aunty. The staff are friendly and approachable. It’s a lovely care home;
a clean environment with comfortable rooms and en-suites. They provide fresh, healthy meals for the care users and offered me refreshments. The staff showed a good understanding of my auntie's needs and were always available to provide support. There is parking available and lovely outside gardens. My overall thought of Bromford Lane Care Home was that the staff worked hard and it showed. They provided a caring environment to the care users and that was really good to see. I would definitely recommend this care home to others.
