Always a pleasure to visit my husband and see him well cared for. Although, of course, I wish he was at home!

My husband was put on end-of-life care at the end of October/November and I cannot fault the manager and her team for all the loving care they give him. He had been in the home for four years and the staff were so caring and attentive, they could not have done more. We felt very comforted that his last days were spent here.

My father was in Bromford Care Home for 3.5 years with Lewy Body Dementia. Throughout the different stages of dementia, he was so well looked after. I'm generally touched by the level of care he received from the day and night staff right to the end.

The facility is also modern, spacious and clean unlike a lot of other care homes. The staff were very understanding of dads condition and let him freely explore and interact with others. Highly recommended. Please visit instead of just reading reviews.

Dad was at Bromford three times this year after being discharged from hospital with infections each time he was really well looked after and rehabilitated back home. The last time he was at Bromford it was obvious that the staff were really glad to see him and had grown very fond of him. His health declined quickly and our family were not able to be with I'm at the end, but he was with his carer and she supported him and he felt loved. We are very grateful to everyone at Bromford.

My brother has been in Bromford Lane since the start of the year, we have not been able to visit because of Covid and living three hours away. My first visit was last week 27th September when we arrived we were given a test and supplied with PPE. All the staff we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. As this was our first visit to see my brother the manager accompanied us so that we felt at ease with him as he has Alzheimer's, we could tell he gets on with the manager very well as they had a good laugh together. The home is very clean and tidy we have no complaints.

My brother was moved to Bromford Lane Care Centre in April 2019. the care team and set-up were more suited to his needs. He was looked after with dignity and care. Although it was difficult for him to interact or join in with activities staff made time for him. As a family, we were always made welcome and any concerns were easily discussed and addressed by both sides. When closed due to Covid I could send videos to him which was fantastic.

Room dirty, personal items missing, staff unaware of where these items have gone. Staff do not communicate with each other. Dads had many falls even though he cannot get out of bed, several bruises to which the staff know nothing about. Dad is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s, therefore, cannot communicate with us so we have to rely on staff providing information which usually is two different stories. Dad cannot feed or drink himself and on visits, we often find no drink available to him and have to ask for these items, he is usually very thirsty so I doubt he even gets a drink due to the short staff situation which is always being used when questioned. The phone rarely gets answered so unable to see how Dad is doing. When I enquired why Dad was left in bed all the time, I was told they didn’t have enough staff on to get him out, so I guess this applies to his meds, eating, drinking and personal care on most days. The list is endless on faults with this home.

The staff were really helpful, however, overall I feel the care home is short of staff and that shows with the one to one care you can give to someone.

Since moving my dad, he is now both walking and smiling. You were happy to just leave him in his room, he lost so much weight there.

Bromford Care Home is easily accessed via the no.11 bus. Our uncle was admitted to the Kimberley EAB unit and from day one the staff have been really welcoming. They have listened to and responded to our requests pertaining to our uncle. The staff handle continence care with dignity and he is washed and dressed in clean clothes every day.
Our relative seems to be settled. The staff have worked with him to improve his mobility, as this was greatly reduced following hospital discharge. He has gained a little weight and looks well. The staff prompt him to eat at meal times as well as providing regular snacks in between.

The management staff make time to discuss concerns and this has put our minds at ease. We are pleased to have our uncle in this care home because we believe that they care for the residents, who are kept safe and secure.

I have found Bromford Lane Care Home to meet all of my needs and expectations at what has been a difficult time. The transition was made smoothly and without fuss. I feel I can talk to all members of staff about my wife and her needs and notice that they are all attentive and treat residents with respect. I feel my wife is well looked after and think this was an excellent choice.

My dad has been in Bromford Lane Care Home since August while sceptical at first I feel the care dad has received has been good. The carers are approachable and treat dad with dignity. My dad has challenging needs and until we can find a suitable care home close to my mom and our family, I'm happy for my dad to remain at Bromford Lane Care Centre.
