My brother has been in Bromford Lane since the start of the year, we have not been able to visit because of Covid and living three hours away. My first visit was last week 27th September when we arrived we were given a test and supplied with PPE. All the staff we spoke to was very friendly and helpful.
As this was our first visit to see my brother the manager accompanied us so that we felt at ease with him as he has Alzheimer's, we could tell he gets on with the manager very well as they had a good laugh together. The home is very clean and tidy we have no complaints.

My brother was moved to Bromford Lane Care Centre in April 2019. the care team and set-up were more suited to his needs. He was looked after with dignity and care. Although it was difficult for him to interact or join in with activities staff made time for him. As a family, we were always made welcome
and any concerns were easily discussed and addressed by both sides. When closed due to Covid I could send videos to him which was fantastic.

Room dirty, personal items missing, staff unaware of where these items have gone. Staff do not communicate with each other. Dads had many falls even though he cannot get out of bed, several bruises to which the staff know nothing about. Dad is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s, therefore, cannot communicate
with us so we have to rely on staff providing information which usually is two different stories. Dad cannot feed or drink himself and on visits, we often find no drink available to him and have to ask for these items, he is usually very thirsty so I doubt he even gets a drink due to the short staff situation which is always being used when questioned. The phone rarely gets answered so unable to see how Dad is doing. When I enquired why Dad was left in bed all the time, I was told they didn’t have enough staff on to get him out, so I guess this applies to his meds, eating, drinking and personal care on most days. The list is endless on faults with this home.

Have found the Manager and her team as well as the Clinical lead there to be extremely helpful in dealing with my Stepmother, nothing is too much trouble for the Care home and I highly recommend, this care home.

The staff were really helpful, however, overall I feel the care home is short of staff and that shows with the one to one care you can give to someone.
Since moving my dad, he is now both walking and smiling. You were happy to just leave him in his room, he lost so much weight there.

My mom has been very ill and is now on end of life care. The staff on the dementia ward are so caring to my mom, I cannot fault her care.

Bromford Care Home is easily accessed via the no.11 bus. Our uncle was admitted to the Kimberley EAB unit and from day one the staff have been really welcoming. They have listened to and responded to our requests pertaining to our uncle. The staff handle continence care with dignity and he is washed
and dressed in clean clothes every day.
Our relative seems to be settled. The staff have worked with him to improve his mobility, as this was greatly reduced following hospital discharge. He has gained a little weight and looks well. The staff prompt him to eat at meal times as well as providing regular snacks in between.
The management staff make time to discuss concerns and this has put our minds at ease. We are pleased to have our uncle in this care home because we believe that they care for the residents, who are kept safe and secure.

I have found Bromford Lane Care Home to meet all of my needs and expectations at what has been a difficult time. The transition was made smoothly and without fuss. I feel I can talk to all members of staff about my wife and her needs and notice that they are all attentive and treat residents with respect.
I feel my wife is well looked after and think this was an excellent choice.

My best friend is a resident of Bromford care home. She is extremely happy and settled there. The staff are excellent and very caring. The home is lovely and well maintained. The rooms are bright and cheerful. Staff are very friendly and helpful and have answered any questions and worries we have had.
I would strongly recommend this home to others without reservation.

My friend was in hospital and needed a nursing home for her onward care. Five homes assessed and refused her. Bromford Lane has accepted her and welcomed her. The staff are extremely helpful and caring. During a very difficult period, they offered and gave excellent service to both my friend and I.
She was admitted on 31/08/18 and the care and support she has received has been wonderful.
We cannot thank the management and staff enough. The company is lucky to have such a brilliant team.

My dad has been admitted to the dementia ward. My daughter, my grandson, 14 weeks old and myself visited my dad over the weekend.
Even though he is staying there for a short time he is very settled even though he naturally wants to go home.
He told us the staff are lovely and the food is good.
We
cannot thank all the staff for making us feel really welcome.
I work in the care sector and felt that I need to say a big thank you to all the staff for their kindness and all their hard work.

My lovely dad had been in a Hospital for an extended period and was placed in Bromford Lane Care Home. It wasn’t near our home and we were concerned as to its location and told that private was best and to avoid. No other home could take my dad due to his needs. He started on the dementia floor but
quickly moved to nursing care. The level of true care, consideration and lovely staff members was so reassuring. As he quickly moved to end of life, the staff were the most heartfelt caring people you would want at the worst time in your life. They truly looked after my dad and those facing it, in my mum and us. To those staff I thank you and for staying past your hours to give us the best service, you were selfless and a true testament that people still care. For my experience I rate you as wonderful, thank you.

I find the staff excellent, very friendly and courteous. The residents I think spend too long in front of TV. When fully staffed things work well but when there is a shortage, it doesn't and the staff have to work hard to fill in when and where needed, but overall it is a well-run home, which my bother
is happy with and as long as he is happy so am I.
