Overall Experience
My mum Jean was a resident for a short time (4 days),after a stay in hospital she was transferred to Freelands Croft. The staff were all so lovely from the cleaners, receptionist, health care assistants and nurses. The home was always clean and tidy. As was mums room.

The staff learned our names and were happy to take time to say how mum was doing. Mum had Alzheimer's so wasn't the best at communicating. The morning that mum passed away was obviously sad and unexpected.. my brother and myself had popped to see mum and were shocked to see she was unwell. The nursing staff dealt with the situation efficiently . An ambulance was called and the family decision was made for mum to spend her final days at Freelands Croft. However the days were cut short as mum passed away 3 hours later. The staff treated mum with respect and dignity. Even sending a floral tribute the the funeral. Even though mum was only there a short time the home was amazing and I would recommend .

Mum initially went to Freelands Croft for respite care, she had previously been to other homes for this. When it became clear she would need permanent residential care, she specifically asked to go back to Freelands which they were able to accommodate. She has been a resident for nearly 4 years now & is very happy there. She loves the staff, her room is nice & airy, overlooking the gardens & the food is really good. I have peace of mind that she is well looked after. All of the staff are wonderful & very caring. I am kept informed on her well being & consulted on any decision making. I would thoroughly recommend Freelands Croft.

The staff at Freelands Croft are incredibly kind and caring. Placing a parent in a care home is an emotional time but the staff help ease the transition and adapt to my mum' changing needs. They are very accommodating and happy to help. The schedule of activities is normally quite varied - the activities team try to plan activities to include as many residents as possible and arrange occasional outings for those that are able to join.

We are so pleased that our father has found a home at Freelands Croft. Our thanks go to Sarika, Luna and all of the team at Freelands. They are always friendly and welcoming, and we can see that our father is receiving excellent care for his physical and mental needs. Having him settled in such a caring environment is making a really positive impact on his wellbeing, and being local also means we can keep the family connection that he needs. Thank you to everyone at Freelands.

My mum has been a resident at Freelands Croft since August 2024.
The home has been very welcoming right from the first day.
My mums level of care is amazing which puts myself my father and sisters mind at rest that she is getting the best possible care.
Staff are very attentive to her needs.
The ladies on Reception Sarah and Mary are always a joy to see as I'm signing in . Luna the deputy
The homes manager is very hands on and knowledgeable on every one of the residents. Her office door is always open if we need to speak to her or she's just an email away.
They have a great range of activities available for the residents and family members join in if they so wish . The home offers a once a month coffee morning on the first Sunday of the month which I love to attend .

The food is of a very high standard and creatively thought out With vegetarian options available at every meal time. The Chef likes to interact with the residents as well . Thanks to all and to Luna deputy manager

My husband at last seems to get involved with activities, but without his hearing aids in he finds it difficult to participate. He was enjoying the colouring sheets but the supply seems to have stopped I provide some but he likes to have two sheets to work on.

I take him out on most of my visits so that he gets some exercise, he seems to think because of the problem of falling asleep he has to be supervised.

I cannot praise the staff at Freeland's Croft highly enough. My mother has never been so content, comfortable, or genuinely cared for. They look after her with such tenderness and love that it feels as though she is part of their own family. I feel truly blessed to have found such a wonderful care home, and it brings me great peace knowing she is in such capable and compassionate hands.

She recently had a chest infection, and thanks to the diligence, attentiveness, and dedication of the staff, she is now well on the road to recovery. I am deeply grateful for everything they do for her each day, I really don't know what I would do without them all. Thank you all very much x
