Freelands Croft has been a Godsend to me and my family. I am so pleased to have found this wonderful care home for my mum. Dementia is a difficult disease to deal with and to know that she is in a special place that understands the needs and concerns of residents and their families has made it all so much easier. The fact that she has her own lovely room with a door leading into beautiful gardens is an unexpected bonus, as is the en-suite wet room. I have also been impressed with the many activities which are arranged and video calls when visits aren’t possible. The staff are helpful, friendly and know how to build relationships with the residents and their families. I have been grateful for the communications on Mum’s general well-being, medication changes and the phone calls enabling me to speak to Mum on days when she hasn’t been coping so well.
We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care. Thank you for the lovely comments.
The staff have limited storage space tending to make public areas a little untidy. Rooms should be brighter with improved lighting and consideration of layout to aid mobility. Staff have cheer, excellent caring and attentive to needs. I have no experience of the food only comments from resident's sister. With thought and care the garden would become a great haven and attractive to the residents.
Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
My mother has been in the home for three years and her care has been amazing. The staff are absolutely brilliant and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The rooms are lovely just like hotel rooms really and Mum's has a lovely view of the garden. The care staff, housekeepers and admin staff are all friendly and chat to Mum when passing or in her room. The food is excellent and varied, and Mum managed to put back the weight she had lost in hospital quite soon after moving in. There are lots of lively activities and visiting relatives are allowed to join in with these too. I honestly would recommend the home to anyone who was looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely comments, we really appreciate the kind words.
In the short time, my sister has been a resident at Freelands Croft she has become more settled and content, her behaviours are a challenge as she is a severe schizophrenic with minimal dementia. Both nursing staff and management have embraced mu sister and her illness and shown much patience understanding and empathy to her and dealt with the learning curve and challenges she has. I have no worry that my sister is safe and cared for in everyday ar Freelands Croft. A wonderful residence and wonderful staff. Thank you all.
We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your sister in our care, thank you for the kind words.
My husband is not an easy person to deal with but the staff are very good with him at all times.
We are glad to hear you are happy with your husbands care and that you can feel at ease when leaving him after a visit.
Overall the service provided is satisfactory. To exceed this I believe extra effort is needed in cleaning rooms, ie. dust, crumbs, biscuits are left for days. Maintainance, ie. broken folder holders in bedrooms is not resolved, step by the door to garden has no ramp. Food is very repetitive but looks adequate. Activities are a bit repetitive too, nothing challenging. Residents get agitated by waiting for assistance for the toilet and by other residents entering their rooms, especially at night.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Our resident’s health and well being is an absolute priority so we will certainly discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
Peace of mind that my father is being well cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your father in our care.
The staff keep me well informed of her progress and her medication, which is very helpful as I am unable to visit her very often.
We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your sister in our care. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make her as comfortable as possible.
Friendly staff who are very busy and hard-working and don't always have perhaps enough time to spend with the residents. Having said that, all my mother's needs are met and her paperwork is always completed quickly.
Thank you, we really appreciate the kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
A caring environment with caring staff.
Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it.
I can't speak highly enough of Freelands Croft. I knew immediately this was the best place for my husband, having looked at other care homes. Lovely, friendly, comfortable atmosphere, the carers are totally excellent, they're friendly, knowledgeable and treat my husband and me with the greatest respect. They are intuitive, solicitous and do a wonderful job and this is typical of all staff working here. Good facilities, good food, plenty of cups of tea and easy surroundings. My thanks to them all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We really appreciate your kind words and glad that you can feel at ease with your husband in our care.
My mother has been at Freelands Croft for nearly three years. We have always been pleased with her care. I am kept regularly informed of any issues, visits by the doctor and reassurance.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
Friendly environment makes one feel at home. Staff welcome us with a smile and kindness in spite of their tiredness. It would be excellent if there were more of them.
Thank you for your feedback we really appreciate the kind words. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
They treat the residents like people and not like someone who is poorly.
I thoroughly enjoy every visit to Freelands.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear from family or friends feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
A beautiful, clean home with caring staff, my mum has been a resident since February 2018 and is now end of life. Her care is amazing, the staff keep me informed, nothing is too much bother for them, they go beyond the call of duty. They make relatives feel like part of the family. We are able to take mum's dog in to see her which makes a big difference to her. I can't thank them enough, it takes a great deal of stress off of me, knowing she is safe, loved and well looked after.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear that you feel she is well looked after. Thank you again, for trusting us with her care.
Every member of staff, whatever their role, is helpful and kind. However, the home’s strength is in their care staff. They not only look after my Aunt but us as a family; including us in decisions and informing us of concerns. I have watched them over the years and cannot praise them enough. They work hard over long hours with dedication and compassion. I love them all and will be forever grateful. I hope that they are appreciated by their employer.
Thank you for such a lovely review. We are happy to hear Freeland's Croft could help you and your family through such a difficult time.
My mother was with Freelands Croft for over 2 years and I cannot thank the staff enough. From the manager and all the other staff. We have nothing but good memories of her time there and how kind and caring they were and I will be very happy to reiterate this any time you need me to.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like “kind” and “caring” being used to describe our care. Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care.
The staff at Freelands Croft Care Home are excellent. The facilities are good and my husband received exceptional care during the two years he was there.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
I was very happy with the care he received.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, J R. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents, therefore it is always delightful to hear from our resident's families feeling like their loved one is looked after with the care and attention they deserve.
From my first telephone call, I was offered friendly advice and sympathetic support. The kindness and care shown to my Uncle made the difficult month he stayed at Freelands Croft so much easier for both of us. I am grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments of our home. We will certainly share your feedback with the home's manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
