Kentford Manor, in Kennett, Newmarket provides the best of care in beautiful surroundings. The dedicated team offers residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short-term basis.

Each en-suite bedroom is designed with residents' comfort in mind, there are even larger suites available for couples. Residents can enjoy the stylish lounges, welcoming café, cinema room and hair and beauty salon. Outside the beautiful, landscaped gardens are the ideal spot to spend time with loved ones during the warmer months.

Kentford Manor is divided into four smaller communities to ensure a homely environment where residents can receive the best care and support. The lifestyle team provides a varied activity programme including outings to local areas of interest.

Respite stays are subject to a 20% uplift on the prices shown above. Fees are subject to a pre-admission
needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each
individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing
Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My father has been at Gracewell of Kentford since January 2018. When I visited the home for the first time, I was impressed with the fact that all members of staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. My father has told me on many occasions that he is very happy and this reflects the care and comfort that
he enjoys. He was, prior to coming into Gracewell, very vulnerable at home, and my brothers and I were all very concerned for his wellbeing. We have all now been able to relax in the knowledge that he is safe, well cared for and happy.

My mother is very happy and settled in Gracewell. She really feels at home and the staff have been excellent in looking after her. At the age of 96, she still enjoys her food and really looks forward to the excellent meals being served at Gracewell. Mum joins in with activities which we never thought
she would and looks forward to music and bingo each week. We couldn't wish for mum to be looked after any better than the care she receives. It gives us all great peace of mind to know she is safe and happy.

Mum has been at Gracewell of Kentford for several years now and has always received first class treatment. Everyone there is fantastic!! From management to cleaners. You are struck by the culture of care, bustle, enthusiasm and fun as soon as you open the door. The place is like a first class hotel!
My only complaint is I have nothing to complain about...I don't know how you do it!!

We are more than happy with the care out grandmother receives at Kentford. She is often disgruntled with the staff turnover and use of agency staff that she is unfamiliar with. We appreciate that this can't be helped but also sympathise with our grandmother as she has to cope with what she describes
as "inconsistency".
Overall, we're content that she is in the best possible place given her age and circumstances.

Mum is being looked after excellently. She is bedridden, can not sit up on her own, and cannot do anything for herself. she has a catheter and is incontinent. The staff are so good with her; they feed her, wash her and make her laugh. I would recommend Gracewell of Kentford to anyone retired or a patient.
Management are friendly and always have a smile for us.

My mother has been resident in Gracewell of Kentford since June 2015 following the death of my father in February 2014 and the onset of vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. Gracewell of Kentford has an excellent level of care and well-being towards the residents in very clean and well-maintained surroundings.
Mother feels secure (not contained) and the staff are wonderful in their care and attitude.

My first experience of Gracewell of Kentford was a visit to view the suitability of the home for my aunt aged 94 years. It is a wonderfully kept home which can provide all of her needs. Aunt moved into Gracewell of Kentford in October 2016. Since then I have found that ALL members of staff have been
magnificent with such kindness and care to Aunt. I couldn't ask for more from ALL of your staff. MANY THANKS.

Gracewell has provided a haven of security and accommodation. My Mother-in-law has dementia and the onset was in January 2016.
The care home is very modern and very well furnished. I visit regularly and the staff are both capable and welcoming. The food is good and my Mother-in-law is well looked after.
Given her condition, Gracewell is an ideal home for her.

Exceptionally warm, comfortable and friendly care home with a happy atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Food menus were not quite to the standard as advertised on menu boards.

Job Title: General Manager

I have 20 years of experience in the care industry, most recently working as a manager for a large domiciliary and complex care agency.


I joined Care UK for the opportunities it would open as one of the UK’s leading care providers.


As a manager, I think the most important part of my role is listening. It's also essential to be empathetic, able to prioritise and have a good sense of humour.


Any time I can spend talking to residents and my team is my favourite part of the day. Seeing residents and their families happy makes me feel fulfilled in my role.


When I’m not working, I enjoy singing and walking my Dalmatian.
