This care home is an absolute gem. From my first contact, they made everything so easy for me and my mum. They helped us prepare the room so it was just like home. Every member of staff delivered above and beyond. Mum's care and nursing needs were met beyond my expectations with total dignity. I cannot express in words how good this was.

Unfortunately, my mum passed away after only a short stay, but again everyone was so respectful and helpful at this difficult time.

Mum came to Lincombe Manor in November 2021 on respite for initially one month she is currently still here until February. Mum has had great care and the staff have been first-class and friendly. We couldn’t have wished for better, the peace of mind Lincombe Manor have given is immeasurable, a big thanks to you all. I’m sure she’ll return!

This is just a photo glance of what I observed and gained from the resident. We were welcomed at reception, signed in, hand care then plastic aprons, not quite sure of the need for these. We were then allowed to go through to see our resident friend. The place was warm and friendly. Our friend looked well cared for including hair. She said all the care workers were warm and friendly and the meals good although she had no appetite. We had a lovely afternoon visit. The following week we were able to bring two of our elderly friends and we all had an enjoyable visit at the Manor House. Thank you for making this possible.

We came to visit my brother which was sad as it was the first time of visiting him but were very happy to find an extremely nice and happy home, everyone we met (there were quite a few as not knowing where to go) were very polite and helpful.

On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The procedure for visits was carefully explained prior to our visit and all rules were complied with during our visits. The staff were very attentive to the friend that we visited.

Thank you for your kind words. I am pleased you found my staff welcoming and helpful. They do try hard to put everybody at ease. It can be a little daunting when first visiting a care facility. Hopefully when our activities are open to visitors as well as residents you can come and enjoy some of them with your friend. It would be lovely to meet you when you next visit.

Although our loved one has only been at Lincombe Manor for a short time, I cannot speak highly enough about the care and attention he has been given. From a negative prognosis in hospital, somehow this marvelous nursing home appears to have performed a miracle on him. He was incredibly weak, unable to swallow, and had lost the will to live. In just a few short weeks he is so much stronger, looks forward to each delicious meal time, and most importantly has regained a zest for life. The staff are kind, caring and extremely helpful particularly in their support to relatives. We are extremely grateful to all at Lincombe Manor and will have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful nursing home to others.

I had a great time when I visited my mother, it was very well organised, all the information about the covid was all up to date.
I come from Eastbourne so I had to book my place with Mum and everything was organised very well.

The lounge where I saw Mum was very well done with tables and chairs and all that the residents need.

It was our first time at Lincombe Manor nursing home, we went there to meet up with my mother; who is at present a resident there, we found that everyone we came across from care staff to nurses very kind and very understanding, which takes a lot of pressure off when you know your loved one is being looked after well.
My mother said she loves it there and finds all the staff very nice indeed, always laughing.

So I say yes, I would put your nursing home very highly recommended to anyone who needs to put a loved one in a home. Keep up the good work and a massive thank you for making my mum's stay with you as pleasant and nice as you are.

My mother has been a resident for over 3 years and requires intensive nursing care. The professional care my mother has received has been exceptional and individualised to her needs and she is always treated with respect and compassion. I thank the staff for their unwavering dedication and personal sacrifices made through an unprecedented time showing great resilience as a team. I would like to mention the manager's exceptional management, leadership and pragmatism and of course her sense of humour which has seen us all through. Covid protocols have been stringently adhered to and the appointment of the covid administrator demonstrates the home's commitment to safety. The covid administrator is professional and thorough in her approach and is valuable in providing a safe environment for all. I would wholly recommend the home without hesitation.

A very friendly and efficient system of testing when visiting eased any worries over Covid19. Extremely helpful member of staff to welcome you and prepare you before entering the home. Wonderful to be able to have a quiet hour with my mum.
Sadly, my mum has been unable to venture from her room due to her illness, so I am unable to comment on the care home facilities.

However, people we know have always rated them highly.

When my friend had a fall and was taken into hospital, part of his return was to go into a local care home and this was very stressfull for him and us. The homes he was put in were not the best. Shortly after this time we were going on holiday and for our peace of mind we asked our friend if he would like to go into a care centre for respite care which he was happy with.
On our return and bringing him back to his own home he astounded us by saying he was so happy with the care and ambience of Lincombe Care Centre that he asked us to arrange for him to be put on the list to move there for good and sell his home for him.

That has been the best outcome and he is happy and we are too. He is well taken care of, when we visit he always looks smart and clean and well.

My father has been a resident at Lincombe Manor for over a year now. He has been looked after extremely well and the staff are friendly, kind and caring. He has been kept very safe in what has been a tumultuous year for all of us. I am extremely impressed with the procedures in place to guard against infection and transmission of the virus.
Lincombe Manor is in a superb location with spectacular views over Torbay. My father, once a very keen sailor, loves the views.
I have just returned from my first indoors visit for more than 12 months. I was very impressed with the protocol in place to test visitors, coach us in anti-infection processes and the provision of appropriate PPE.

Well done all at Lincombe!
