My father recently passed away peacefully at Acer House, having lived there for 2 and a half years. He was very happy living there and got on well with all the staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and there is always a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the home. During Dad's final week, the care that he received was exceptional, and he was always treated with kindness, respect and tenderness. During this sad time, both myself and others members of our family were looked after so well by the staff whilst we were visiting Dad. I cannot speak highly enough of this care home and how well they look after their residents and would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely words about the care and support your father received at Acer House Care Home in Weston-Super-Mare. Whether it's someone’s first or last day with us both they and loved ones are part of our family, I am so pleased to hear that although it was a tough thing to go through...
I have lived here at Acer House since September 2017. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and I have been happy here. During the numerous lockdowns due to Covid, they helped keep our spirits up while we were unable to have our families visit us.
Thank you for leaving a review for Acer House Care Home in Weston-super-Mare and for your amazing 5-star ratings. It is a pleasure to care for you and have you as part of our loving care community. We are glad to hear how much you enjoy living here at Acer House and the joy that this brings you....
My Father has been a resident at Acer House for 3 years. He had chosen Acer House because he needed residential care due to being confined to a wheelchair. This gave him the freedom to continue his social life outside. As well as the care, support, and security of being at Acer House. He is extremely happy there. It was a tough time for him during lockdown, he really missed his independence. Acer House was amazing throughout those times. They communicated with the relatives very regularly and still do. All credit to the managers, the brilliant hard working receptionists and all the staff. It certainly is a very caring loving place to be.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home in Weston-super-Mare. Thank you for your lovely feedback about the care and support your dad is offered here at Acer House. It is always heartwarming to receive such positive feedback from the whole team. Supporting your dad to continue...
My 96-year-old mother has been a resident at Acer House Care Home for several years. The manager and her team provide a professional, caring, and supportive environment for her. The whole team are a delight to meet. The COVID lockdown has been a challenging experience for residents, relatives, and also staff. They continue to be supportive and cheerful despite having to wear masks throughout their shifts. My mother looks forward to her visits to the on-site hairdresser for a good chat. We always feel confident when leaving my mother after visiting, knowing she is in good hands and that we will be contacted if there are any issues of concern. On several occasions, the staff have gone 'the extra mile' to help my mother.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home in Weston-super-Mare. As always your family is our family. The extra mile is a testament to that. We all adhere to PPE guidelines and will continue to adjust any practices as regulations and legislation change in order to keep your mum and the other residents safe.
The Care Home Manager and her excellent team run a very tight ship. Extremely professional, devoted, and very very caring. A home that is proactive and not reactive. I would highly recommend Acer House if you are considering a care home either as a resident or as a family member having to make difficult care/choice decisions.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home. We are delighted to hear how satisfied you are with our home and the exceptional level of care provided by our staff team on a daily basis, to ensure all our residents receive person-centred care. We highly appreciate your positive feedback and I will be sure to pass this on to the rest of our team. Best wishes, Rachel.
My mum was in the care of Acer House for seven months. In that time she was treated with love and respect. During her 'end-of-life' week her family were able to be with her. She was treated tenderly and with care by all members of staff.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home. Your mum was a pleasure to be around and lived every day to its fullest. Our aim is for families to feel as supported and respected as our residents. Thank you for your lovely words. Best wishes, Sam.
So grateful for the love and care given to Mum over the Christmas and New Year period when we were unable to come to see her. This was her first Christmas at Acer House. With her dementia, Mum finds it very hard to remember from one day to the next what is really happening. All the staff go the extra mile to try and keep all the positive and happy memories alive so that each day is a new start and a good experience with things to look forward to - without worrying about what has gone. Bless you all for your care and kindness.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home. We appreciate that the current COVID restrictions can be frustrating, however, we continue to encourage regular safe visiting to ensure our residents and their loved ones are always connected. We are delighted to hear that your Mum...
The care and attention given by the staff during a visit with Occupational Therapy was wonderful. Mum needed to be hoisted to try a new commode/shower chair. The staff were gentle, explained every move, and made her feel safe. All the staff are friendly, understanding, and kind in all they do both to residents and families. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home and for your amazing 5-star review. Your feedback is truly invaluable to us and our staff team, who go over and above the standards on a daily basis in order to provide an exceptional level of care, whilst creating a warm and welcoming...

The home is better managed now and mum is well cared for and happy, she has no complaints and during Covid she has been kept safe in a secure environment. As we have not been inside Acer House Care Home since March 2020, some aspects we are unable to give definite answers, but we will say it is good. Thank you to the management and reception staff for answering questions and the courteous way they arrange our visits.

All the staff were kind and attentive from the care team to the cleaners, the chefs, and the people who arranged activities, they made all the residents feel special and us as a family as well. The home were incredible during lockdown and kept everyone safe in such difficult circumstances. The staff were always available to get updates and the introduction of Skype calls helped when it was not possible to visit. Under the guidance of the outstanding Manager at Acer House Care Home, all the staff provide outstanding care.

Mum is well cared full and very happy in her own way. With the onset of Covid and her dementia rapidly declining, the staff have kept us fully informed and facilitated Skype calls even though she doesn’t know what it is! The support that the staff have given us during this difficult time has been exemplary.

I am pleased with the care my mother receives. However, as I have been unable to visit my mother as I would wish under normal circumstances since last March, I have not been able to have normal contact or much of it!

Mum has been a resident for many years. She wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to review Acer House Care Home and for your lovely feedback. Our staff team are so delighted to hear such kind words about the dedicated work they do to ensure all our residents only receive exceptional standards of care. Best wishes Rachel.
My mother has only recently moved to Acer House. Prior to her move, I would see her 3-4 times a week. Following her decision to move into Acer House, I have not been able to see my mother anywhere near as often as I did (for very understandable covid health regulation reasons and by no way a criticism of Acer House). Whilst I miss seeing my mother very much, I can be confident she is being well cared for. Regular, balanced and varied meals encourage her to eat, amazing support is given for her health needs and mental wellbeing is a top priority. In terms of wellbeing, Acer House extends this to relatives as well as residents. I had a complete meltdown earlier this week as I am finding not seeing her regularly very difficult. The manager took the time to listen to my tears and worries, and not once did I feel I was an inconvenience or wasting her time. I love seeing what the residents have been doing on the Facebook photos too. Thank goodness for Acer House and their amazing staff.
Thank you for reviewing Acer House Care Home. As you can understand we are strictly following the government guidelines for relatives visiting our home. We are looking forward to opening our doors for more regular visits once we are advised it is safe to do so. Our staff team are so delighted to...
Always ready to help and fill any request, no matter how big or small. Activities are always entertaining and available to every resident. Each member of the home is treated as an individual and encouraged to remain as independent as possible.
Thank you for reviewing Acer House Care Home. Our staff team will be so delighted to hear such kind words about our home. I will be sure to pass on your message. Best Wishes, Ryan.

Hello, my name is Sam, and I am delighted to be the Home Manager here at Acer House.
I have 20 years of experience within the healthcare sector and have achieved qualifications including Levels 2, 3, and 5 Health and Social Care Diplomas, PTTLS Level 3, and Level 3 Health and Safety. It is such a great talent to withhold, and you will now often find me trying to join in with our knit-and-natter club.
I would best describe myself as someone who is very passionate, determined, and strong-minded. In my spare time, I spend most weekends cheering my son on from the sidelines at his football matches and love relaxing in the garden with my family.
